  1. did anyone hear that Sherman was hated by his assistant coaches? That he surrounded himself with "yes men" and they could not disagree or have their own opinion. I have no idea if this is true but I know I heard it somewhere. Sorry no link but I know it was stated on tv or a radio show. Could be all bs but I thought it was interesting. Haslett bleeds buffalo blue. He has stated many times this is his dream job. He would run through a wall to win a game but the question is will his players do the same for him. Haslett is a throwback to when players would die for their team and things are very different now. Players take themselves out of games etc. I think Sherman is a better choice but will the fans accept him knowing that we have a chance to bring in Haslett.
  2. Pitt selects Ben and we select JP. Season one Ben learns on the job and gains the confidence of his veteran team by winning a number of games in a row. JP is hit by Vincent in practice and misses the season or most of it. Season two Ben is hurt at times but come the playoffs leads his team into Indi and upsets them and again has his team knocking on the door for a superbowl visit. JP is benched in favor of a 10 yr jouneyman qb and misses the final few games of the season gaining no experience what so ever. Wow. Two QB's both drafted in round 1 and their careers couldnt be more different. Just like the teams they play for. They have a coach who lasted longer than their gm (TD). We have since fired that same gm and have gone through two coaches. Our organizations are the complete opposite.
  3. he almost missed the big net behind the goal post- it was that far right.
  4. any early predictions on the line? Denver by 3.5
  5. will this game come down to the foot of Manning's buddy... the idiot kicker?
  6. this game is unbelievable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. who would you want to be your QB? My pick is # 18.
  8. Colts still need to stop the Pitt run attack after the kickoff.
  9. White will be a good pro. He has all the tools. Depending on where he goes he could have a better rookie yr than Bush.
  10. Indy knows that Pitt is running the ball and still cant stop them. Big O-lines dominate smaller quick D-lines. Simple as that. Colts have 8 or 9 i the box. This drive by Pitt is a championship drive. Two 4th down runs for 1st downs. Clock is ticking on the Indy season.
  11. By dafting Bush they are putting top picks at the qb, rb and wr. Their version of the triplets. They then build their line ans the offence can carry their team.
  12. the more o-line guys you bring in the better. You never know- someone could surprise you.
  13. Pete- C Bailey is a great athlete and one of the top cbs in the league but the NFL is not a foot race. It takes alot more than being fast to be a top athlete in the NFL or there would be more players from Kenya. Scouts would just hang out at track meets and hand out contracts.
  14. Its a good thing becuase I dont think the NFL can make rings in kid's sizes.
  15. yes he did. the air must be thicker when Plummer throws the ball. I hope the score holds up and we dont have to hear anymore about the Pats being unstoppable in the playoffs.
  16. he ran out of gas after running 100 yds. Officials cant over tun that.
  17. even more reason to hate them. Oh and Marcia Brady just threw a pick on the goal line and it was taken 99 yds back to the one. Go Broncos!!!!
  18. What kind of fan are you? This is a home playoff game and that means alot at this point of the playoffs. The Pats are not the same team they were during their superbowl runs. Sure Brady is experienced during the post season but the Broncos will win this game. Now I doubt they will beat the Colts next week but thats the AFC Championship.
  19. We have Levy already as a GM. We dont have Haslett yet. If we hire Haslett he will always have Marv there if he needs help on a decision. However Haslett has 6 years experience having the final say as a HC so I doubt he will need to ask Marv a whole lot. Alot can be said about having a HC that wants to be here. Haseltt has made it very clear that he wants this job and has for some time now. Give him a chance. He will have the best special teams coach on his staff already and will along with Levy find quality OC and DC. I think the Bills will go through the motions by bringing in other interviews but they know it will be Haslett. On the late news last night Ch.2 interviewed the agent of Haslett. I didnt know coaches had agents but anyway when asked if Levy had contacted Jim he responded no. When asked if Wilson had contacted Jim he responded no comment. That means yes. And that was only a few hours after the press conference. Haslett is the Bills 1st choice and he will be our next HC.
