  1. I’ll add one I didn’t think of initially because although somewhat obvious, it’s a more recent thing for us. Wine. I’ve always been a beer guy and still love the craft beer but obviously one has to be versatile in the drinking repertoire. Couple years ago started getting big into bourbon and I’ll pay for some decent stuff but I’m also totally fine with the middle of the road stuff. Wine however, was drastically altered for us after we went to Napa last fall for our 10 year. Good lord, so many good options to choose from. That 3-4 day trip totally ruined us on cheaping out at the grocery store when it comes to the vino. I’m not talking crazy expensive but there’s almost zero chance of buying anything less than the $15-20 range now even though I know good stuff exists below that price point. It’s just not worth the gamble anymore to us. Luckily during this whole thing there is a small local wine store doing no contact delivery. Not only do I like supporting the small local place, but they have some great stuff! More import heavy selection than California, but all pretty solid stuff and they’re doing cases that you can mix 6 & 6 of reds, whites, sparkling, rosés, etc. Wife has been under a lot of work stress lately so we’ve had 4 cases delivered since this all started. ?Certainly haven’t drank them all at the rate they’re coming in, but doing our best!
  2. I didn’t realize a 3 word motivational phrase would be considered “revealing tactics”
  3. Ok you sickos, lets keep it clean. Is it a great 6 pack of beer? A special bourbon? Some particular brand of mustard? What’s something that’s overall relatively “inexpensive” that you will pony up well above the going rate for? I’ll go first. While wife was pregnant we took a trip out west. Vegas, Zion, Grand Canyon, Glenn Canton, Sedona. Place we stayed at in Sedona has a world class spa that has some kind of artisan soap that was just unreal. Nabbed every bit of that stuff from the room and maid carts that I could every day we were there, and order it now directly. It’s something stupid like $7 a bar but it will last me about 2 weeks, and I usually shower 2x / day. What’s your random simple pleasure you’ll throw it out there for?
  4. I watched the whole thing and was also at the game. 4 turnovers that subsequently gave the offense the ball resulted in a total of 3 pts. It really was a crazy game. How could a team get 6 turnovers (2 pick 6s) and a kickoff return TD and NOT win!? ??‍♂️
  5. That’s the part that would get me. If after everything else I wouldn’t have been able to see any of it in person during a super bowl season, that would eventually hurt a little. This year was the most fun season in a very long time and the playoff game sure did hurt, but it it was an awesome experience being there. Granted, I’ll take it 100/100 times and be damn happy about it. But that would be my “petty whine” moment way after the fact.
  6. Not a chance. Confirmed cases doesn’t equal actual death rate.
  7. Would you really care that much though if you knew another company would hire you to the same position for the same pay? If there’s no other character concerns about a particular guy, I don’t think it’s something that will affect their draft position much.
  8. For a dilute, there’s typically nothing to “report”. It’s also considered a negative test, even if it’s a federal / DOT test, although the individual employer may have policies that require a re-test. Is it a red flag that a guy can’t stay clean for a test he knows is coming? I dunno. You’d like to think that they could quit for a couple months but this day and age, most guys just don’t give a crap about trying to hide marijuana use (and I don’t necessarily blame them).
  9. After Aldon Smith and now that, he’s def dropped a notch. Used to always take note when he had something.
  10. Check your state’s govt websites for guidance. Ohio waived the job search requirement for all unemployment claims relating to the Covid, but not sure if that’s the case everywhere.
  11. I think our first trip will be here https://www.localcantina.com/about-us/ Kind of our go to spot. Great food, fantastic drinks, kid friendly and reasonably priced. What’s not to like!?
  12. A close friend of mine works in sales for Rhinegeist but here in Cbus. The taproom in Cincy being closed obviously hurts them a lot but trust me there’s plenty more than the bartenders hurting. They do a ton of business from their taps in bars.
  13. It’s our civic duty to help alleviate this crisis.
  14. I started watching it a couple weeks ago but had to stop.
  15. I’ve been rolling through my supply of whiskey (as it’s the only thing keeping me sane after everyday of wrangling a 3 year old while wife is on one of her million daily calls). No Covid here!
  16. I’m in 109 about 2/3 of the way up. My relocation window is tomorrow at 2. I have four seats that are only two off the aisle between 109/110. Pretty great seats, I doubt I’ll do any better for a long time. I love being near the aisle. Old seats were also 109 and were lower, but like right in the middle of the section.
  17. Oh thank God. Too bad so many huge money making entities around the globe are so easily influenced by the media....? I was initially skeptical about the seriousness of this thing but if it was “just a bad strain of the flu” we wouldn’t have reached this point. There’s too much money to be lost over unsubstantiated hysteria, and cash is always king. Out of curiosity, Is your friend on the front lines treating sick Covid patients?
