  1. The only thing I can't find good details on is that part about completing 4 years in major junior. I don't know what exactly qualifies as a full year. This is Cozen's third full season in the WHL, but he as played 3 games and a full playoff schedule the year before that. I assume they don't count that as a full year, but I haven't found anything to back up that assumption. And yes @JohnC, he'll be given every chance to make the Sabres' team out of camp next year. Me personally, I don't plan on expecting a thing from him next year though. We've been burned too often by rushing these kids and I can't see him making or breaking this team next year. I lean towards the cautious approach at this point. But hey, maybe he does step up and show he's ready. I'll gladly accept that outcome if it happens.
  2. Cozens won't be old enough to play in the AHL next year, so we can rule that one out right now. He could see time at the end of the season, but that's it.
  3. My directv feed cut out right in the middle of the replay of Jack's goal, so I didn't get to see a much needed second view of how ridiculous that goal was. They opened a window for him for less than a second, and boom, in the net. Was the goalie just sleeping or was the shot that perfect?
  4. He has played pretty much everywhere.
  5. Based on this post, I'm just going to assume that someone finally posted a picture of Peter Frampton.
  6. People need to get over themselves. It's just a game. No one shot your dog. I skimmed through the clip because I can only stand so much of that type of lunacy, but it sounded a bit like a performance to me. Now it's posted online and in some places people have dug up the kid's twitter account. Mission accomplished.
  7. He should definitely get a good number of games while up here. I can live with Hutton getting the next game but then Johansson getting the second one. If he's up to the task, the playing time will snowball from there.
  8. I don't think they hesitated for even a second when making that callup. Hammond only gets it if it's a day or two.
  9. He was here for one season, spending the entire year on IR. Was there really all that much opportunity to give him more and meaningful time in that following training camp?
  10. His kill count is off the charts.
  11. Or not. Apparently they decided to pump the breaks due to Kobe Bryant.
  12. It reminds me of that Beetles classic "I seen her standing there".
  13. Seen I think this may be the one that makes me cringe the most, given that it is never used properly.
  14. Let's face it, the funeral is far more for you and any other family/friends who would be there than it is your father. As taro said, if you want to be there, go. Sorry for your loss.
  15. That would convince me to go.
  16. I'm not sure I want to know how Hannah Davis qualified as pitcher.
  17. I hear that Adam Sandler has a bunch of netflix exclusive movies...
  18. Can we please just cut to the chase already and create the "shoot yourself in the head" challenge? The herd could use a good thinning.
  19. So in his wiki it says he recorded 14.5 sacks in 1980, but the league didn't officially track them until 1982. This is interesting. I kind of want to figure it out, but I'm sure it'll wind up being the typical wikipedia error.
  20. Where's that second season with 14.5 sacks?
  21. Apparently the "Robitalle" picture is not from this season. I did some digging over on sabrespace and the board ads in that picture do not match anything from this season. So someone's being a bit disingenuous trying to pin both of those pictures as one act. The Andreychuk typo is bad, but let's face it, it's not the first or the last time that we'll see a screwed up name plate in any of the pro sports. It's bad, but it's not "this organization is inept" bad. The internet is littered with countless examples from over the years. My guess is the next one we'll see is "they poured me a blue instead of a blue light, this organization sucks!"
  22. I think this is officially the end of the line for me. I don't play enough anymore, there aren't any currently ongoing series that I'm interested, so it's not worth the money to me anymore. The backward compatibility is nice (if they don't drop it last second like they did with the last few), but I have a 2,3 and 4 in my house, so I can already play any of the old stuff.
  23. Without reading the story, I'm just going to assume yes.
  24. How many actually carry the full 23 though? It's always seemed to me like most teams will go with 22, not have a 3rd guy rot away in the pressbox, all while banking a little extra cap space. I would look at rosters right now, but the break makes that pointless. I'd say Ullmark is the kind of guy who could work well in a platoon. Based on his career, Hutton should be too, which is what they were hoping for and it really wasn't all that unreasonable. But why has this guy fallen off a cliff? Maybe it's just age, but there really isn't all that much wear on those tires.
