  1. So it's Bieber?
  2. Murray's last team was regularly dressing Cody Franson, Justin Falk, and Taylor Fedun. Guhle was the only d-man in Rochester who at this point has any potential NHL career in his future. There should be at least three now (to be fair, the most promising guy in Rochester, Borgen, was a Murray pick)). So yeah, the blue line is in much better shape today than it was then. And like I suggested, if I'm building a team, I personally think that it needs to start from back to front. This isn't meant to be some screaming endorsement of Botterill because it's not. Whoever is doing the job next year, they just happen to have a little more to work with than Botterill did on day 1. With as bad as they've been for so long now, the gains have to start somewhere, no matter how small they are.
  3. I wouldn't say no eye for NHL talent. He can spot it on the blue line. He's the bizarro Murray in that regard, all D, no F. Honestly though, I think the team is left in a better spot moving forward with that approach than with Murray's. The next GM is going to have an easier time moving forward with the cap space and a solid blue line foundation.
  4. I think you may have the right show but the wrong character. Gary's not looking too good these days.
  5. I think it's a dumb change but I understand why they're doing it. They opened the door to trouble with the replay rule, but rather than fix that, they're just going to change other rules.
  6. I thought it was people who are intolerant of other people's cultures and the Dutch.
  7. The thing with Lehner that sticks out to me is that if he's some sort of super goalie now, why is he already on his 3rd team in 2 years? Vegas has 2 more years of Fleury at $7 million, so come July it'll be 4 teams in 2 years. It has to make you wonder.
  8. It really doesn't matter how well he's playing if it's a close game. He's capable of these moments on every single play. I'd say he's prone to them. And there's definitely been more than just those two stick swipe goals, I'm just not the type that can ever reference the exact game.
  9. Seriously, they can't even get the damn code right in that picture?
  10. I just want more challenges that could result in death. That's probably the easiest way to start thinning the herd a bit.
  11. It's a brain fart for sure, but how many goals has Hutton given up this year as a direct result of that stick swipe move? That thing is so high risk/low reward. It's another item on the long list of Carter Hutton moves where his momentum takes him out of position. There has to be a book on him, to take your wrap around attempts wide, leaving the opposite site of the net wide open. I don't see any what that he's not on this roster next year, but I hope that Bales can coach that out of him. But whatever, it's just one loss. If people think they needed to go 15-5 for any shot at the playoffs, that run would include some losses. And at the same time, Toronto's not going to go 0-20. There's going to be a Buffalo loss here and also some Toronto/Florida wins. Now they just need to bounce back, something they've been horrible at doing. They did look like a different team last night, so hopefully that different team continues to show up. More games like that, along with some puck luck to the Eichel line and they're going to wind up in the win column more often than not.
  12. Ahhh ok. I haven't watched Breaking Bad in a while now. I know everyone jumped on the Nacho line once he was introduced in Better Call Saul, but I don't remember as much of a reaction when Lalo was introduced. Of course, it could just be the 10 year break between seasons that makes me completely lose track of these things.
  13. Saul mentioned Nacho to Walt and Jessie.
  14. I'm typically on planes with two seats on each side, so a bigger plane may complicate things. I could see people willing to pay rather than get stuck in the middle seat.
  15. I watched it last night. They were building some random processing building for the chicken farm, but it was just a front to throw off Lalo.
  16. Actually, if the plane is half full, they're going to assign you a normal seat at the gate. When it's full, the only seats that haven't been assigned are the extra leg ones because no one wants to pay for them. It's either those or the seats they have for their loyalty program, whatever they call it.
  17. I also wonder if Mike Sullivan may have followed Rodrigues closely since he's a BU guy too.
  18. I figured it was obvious. The kid from Life Goes On?
  19. Buffalo was also coming off a back to back. So if one team thrived under that circumstance and the other faltered, what exactly does it mean?
  20. They must be at a comfortable number because they don't take on even half of Simmonds contract if there was too much of a concern in that department.
  21. Given the second trade, I know look at the Simmonds deal as the team giving him a low price tryout to see if he has anything left for the future.
  22. I don't know a thing about Kahun, but the numbers look intriguing. On top of that, they took two players they didn't want anymore and turned it into a guy who they have control of for a couple years. I'm happy with that much.
