Copy that, and let's not forget that there's no way possible to rebuild this team in a year. If Green can give Buffalo one year, then so be it. It will buy some time. It's been said that Rome wasn't built overnight.... Jauron left this team in a bad way and like it or not, it will take two to three years to fix his train wreck.

Same QB's = Same Result = Wasted Year
Spiderweb replied to sabres...yawn's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well then, it was in Brees 4th year that he really caught fire. Edwards is now entering his 4th year. Are you guaranteeing Edwards will have a QB rating over 100, have at least 27 TD's against no more than 7 INT's, and throw for over 3500 yards? -

Bills will seriously suck in 2010!!
Spiderweb replied to ChanOverChin's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It does have the feel for 2001 all over again..... -
This would be one scenario that could be a plus for the Bills, yet, it isn't going to happen. Bush, the few times I've watched him play, looked good.

I am glad we arn't running out signing Free Agents.
Spiderweb replied to DarthICE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Whitner, maybe....but unless we get a round 1 (not likely) or a 2 and a 5 (minimum), I'd keep Lynch. He's young. Jackson will be 30 when the season starts and age is something that catches up on RB's real quick. Moving Lynch would create another hole that would need to be filled. It would be likely filled by a lesser back.... -
"Whiners"? Many of us realize that Incognito is an incomplete guard. PB is poor, but he is a very effective run blocker. What he brings is a toughness that frankly our line needs, and as long as he could limit his past penchant for dumb penalties, he definitely would be of value and should have been tendered (or already under contract). Whining has nothing to do with it.

Bills do not tender Incognito, Jonathan Scott
Spiderweb replied to Arkady Renko's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Tendering Incognito seemed like a gimme. I guess the "new regime" feels we can get O-lineman anywhere, like the moron Jauron. This does not appear to be a sound decision by the Bills Brass. Scott, on the other hand, played well at SS, and unless his injuries are worse than we know, he too appeared to be a shoe-in for a tender. -
Now this is was an exceptional talent for sure, but Bruce Smith mostly played in the 260's and he was a pretty effective 3-4 DE. It can be done, but it takes a real talent to pull it off.

Is there a plan besides reducing payroll?
Spiderweb replied to Chuckknox's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
......to this, I couldn't agree more. Denney at least understood how to defend the run game, much better than Kelsay, and given his snaps vs. those Kelsay had, I'd say he was more effective pass rusher as well. Kelsy is the the overpaid mediocre DE on The Bills that needed to go..... -
After all these years, there's been no change..... forever beating the dead horse, and still managing to take all sides of of a debate.

New Spin On Shanny Not Coming To Buffalo?
Spiderweb replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
While I haven't lived in Buffalo for quite some time now, I did spend the first 30 years of my life as a resident of Kenmore, Tonawanda, Cheektowaga, and Williamsville. I can say that I will always think of Buffalo as home, but I have to admit (as Darren pointed out above), that Buffalo isn't for everyone. I seriously doubt the rest of the country lays there heads down at night and dreams of being a Buffalonian. Taxes, local economy, etc., along with the weather all conspire to paint Buffalo as a town to avoid. It's hard for us to think of our town as a place most people wish to avoid, but that's the reality. I for one, dream of the day that Buffalo and NY State get it together and recapture the greatness that once existed there, but sadly that's not likely in my lifetime. Let Shanny sleep with the devil....Nix and Gailey will succeed. -
Schobel has been a solid player for some time yes, but old and slow? I think he showed last year that there is still something left in his tank. Sure, jettison (or let walk, trade or whatever) one of our best defensive players make tons of sense. The quoted post, well, it certainly won't win any awards......

Forget about Richard Seymour
Spiderweb replied to BillsGuyInMalta's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He was never on the radar. If Nix holds to his word, he already said he wasn't going to go after high priced, splashy FA's so this was never more than wishful thinking anyway. -
But how many "mock" drafts can one stomach..... How about some serious scouting reports. That would be far more interesting than Joe Blow says the Bills will select in round one - Marv Levy RB - Coe College..........

Cincy, please don't go there. My God, that sounded an awful lot like some rightest trash. Our health care system compared to most, by any honest measurement, is a wreck. AARP and the World Health Organization (yea I know, both are leftists, right?) have shown numerous flaws in our "system" or should we just call it what it is. "rape, pillage, and plunder" medicine. The cost of health care in America per person is already more than double that of Canada, Germany, Great Britain and Japan. We have an even greater disparity in what drugs cost in the USA. Longevity, nope, were last in this group. Infant mortality, nope, last again. And the biggest lie of all (the naysayers claim other's wait times are longer or that they ration their medicine), seeing our doctors the same day we call for an appointment is again, behind that of GB and yes, Canada. Do I believe Obama's plan was the answer? No, but more because of what it didn't attempt to correct (drug companies were appeased so that they would stay on the sidelines during the debates when Obama dropped his campaign pledge to make obtaining affordable drugs legally from Canada). This year alone, the premiums for my employer sponsored health care plan increased by 13%. My share of the cost of this doubled. I also now have a immediate 500.00 deductible for each member of my family (6). The deductible must be met before the insurance pays a single dime. All this in a year that due to the housing collapse and energy prices declining slightly, was actually a deflationary year (.3% from AARP's figures). Where is the justice here? When will we realize that real reform IS necessary? When an illness bankrupts you and you lose your home? Yet, there are those who line up against Government plans, sighting rationing, or denied care....Jeezy Pete, and the insurance companies haven't done this too? Limit your choices of Doctors? Again, the insurance companies play the in-network, out of network game don't they. They also have had Primary care physicians, of which we had to pick form THEIR lists. My God, what will it take? When Health care reform debates were at their peak in the Senate and House, hundreds of millions of dollars were spent by insurance companies and their lobbyists to propagate lies meant to ward off reform. Yet if the money exixts for this, where are the rate reductions for the insured? Or where are the benefit improvements? Not coming, and never will again, unless they are made to toe the line and finally place the patient first. Yeah, health care here is is great. Your right.......... as long as your a Senator or Congressman (they pay NOTHING and are covered 100%, yet they cry broke if one seeks to improve the blight of the average citizen, but don't touch their health care, or their automatic pay raises (which also are of a percentage higher than ours as well). Yes Sir, everything's just peachy..... -
Andre Reed needs to be inducted this year.
Spiderweb replied to basskik11's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Rice, slam dunk, but Carter? Reed had great hands as well, and could run circles around Chris Carter. Now this isn't to take anything away from Carter, but Reed could and did many times take a 10 yard slant to the house or for huge gains. Reed is one of the all-time great run after the catch guys, in the same league as Rice and actually was stronger that Rice. Now that he's gone, and after 10 years (or thereabouts) of watching others try to fill his shoes, his accomplishments stand out greater than ever. In his prime, it got so we took him for granted, and since, he's been sorely missed. I still recall watching him haul in a deep pass in the preseason of his rookie year, and thought, "damn, he's going be a good one." The last time I thought the same thing was in Thurman's rookie preseason..... Both stood out, immediately. -
Ah, a daughter, one to care for and cherish and as the years roll by..........to worry endlessly about. Love her, care for her, make her special....... CONGRATS !!!!
