  1. Ah, aren't you funny..... Joe Cribb's? Similar to TT in an umber of ways, but the numbers speak for themselves. TT wins the Cribbs?TT contest hands down. Cookie, an amazingly talented 250 plus RB, unfortunately spent the prime of his playing days in the CFL. OJ was our best pure runner, one of best in the history of the game, but was no where near the complete back TT was. OJ and his hands of stone wasn't very adept at catching the ball, and while OJ was rarely called on to pass block, TT was outstanding at picking up blitzes. TT, in the entirety of his career and talents, clearly ranks as our best all round RB in the history of the Bills. With that said, He ranks very highly in the greatest Bill of all-time sweepstakes, but I'm not sure he would be number 1. Jim Kelly, Bruce Smith, Billy Shaw, Tom Sestak, etc., might disagree.
  2. Ah come on. I live outside Louisville KY now, and still wear my Bills jackets and jersey all the time. I get some ribbing, but the more i get from those I know, the more I wear by Bills garb.... Ordered two pairs at that price.... (Thanks...)
  3. Memory seems to prod the name of Daryl Porter, as the one who left his lane...
  4. Get well SOON Beerball!!!!! Our prayers are with you and your family.
  5. Adam, you often come up with the weirdest stuff.....
  6. What the "heck" does his hair have to do with anything? Jeez...... You prefer skin heads? So what.....
  7. Seems a bit as if you're giving Edwards a pass, yet with Lindell, who has been very successful, you give him the boot? Logic?
  8. Heck, it could prove to be a great hire. It's not as if Gailey hasn't tasted success, something we haven't had much of the past 15 years....
  9. .....you must have more than Edwards arm, maybe a bit of his knock on the old noogan as well, if youseriously think Kyle Williams could be even "a little like Phil Hansen". Hansen was lightning quick compared to Williams, very strong without the girth, and a superior pass rusher. Phil was an unsung star back in the day. Tough on the run, and able to put some heat on the QB, and he did it in an unfavorable 3-4 (for a pass rushing DE that is). However, you're spot on in stating we'd need a NT as there isn't one on the roster today. Also, I would agree at this stage that maybe Maybin's future lies in being a rushing OLB in a 3-4 scheme.
  10. ..............and neither do we (or the Bills) care about losing you.
  11. A bit overly simplistic don't you think?
  12. Schobel is a quality player and here's to hoping that the coming changes (GM, and HC, etc) will re-kindle his desire to play. That, and the commitment to field a complete team, unlike the O-Line and LB disaster Jauron gave us this year.
  13. True, to a degree. With our LB's on IR, our offensive line in termoil and decimated by injuries, we too kinda fielded a YFL team out there as well. All said, it was good NOT to see the perversity "run for the bus" performance and congrats to Fred Jackson, clearly the Bills MVP this year.
  14. This is easy.......absolutely NOT!!!!
  15. The Christian stuff? I'm no devote parishioner, but did you ever here of Roger Staubach? Being a Christian, does not mean one can't be talented, a leader, and a great player as well. Wow.....
  16. While Butler seemed like a quality gut for the most part, his resume from his Buffalo years would be short and read something like this: John Butler - Road on Bill Polian coattails, who built a woeful early Mid 80's Bills franchise into a team that went to 4 straight Super Bowls. Over saw the yearly deterioration of the team after Bill Polian was fired.
  17. ICE, not again.......jeez.
  18. The infamous ICE? OU? ..........................
  19. Vick, no doubt an exciting player in his prime, really never had what it takes to be a successful NFL QB. To think he did is pure folly.
  20. Despite his athletic ability, he has horrible technique and was little more than a yellow laundry machine when he was in there. He was every bit as raw as nay Tackle I've seen in recent years. Yet, I wouldn't jettison him just yet, but he clearly wasn't ready to start. He also had issues staying healthy as well. Bell is needs a two year course in Tackle play, from Anthony Munoz.....
  21. Wow, one big drop it's again that he drops a ton of them....Before you write stuff like this, might you do some homework first. Let's recall the past 3 years approx, and the "droppsies- "ton"", simply doesn't ring true. Reed is a solid, albeit unspectacular player.
  22. Ah, the first third of last year, Edwards played pretty darned well, even managed multiple come back victories for us. The he took his first serious concussion, and clearly he's not been the same since. The presence, the quick release he displayed prior to the "hit" is gone. He may be done, but jeez, what short memories folks around here have. In the right situation, Trent may well be a serviceable guy, even for the Bills, once the line is shaped up a ton. Right now, it's apparent that who ever is back there, they better be ready to run for their life. No excuses, just reality. Personally I don't like Trent's throwing motion. It looks forced, unnatural if you will. But, dang, burning him in effigy?
  23. Link, or at least your source?
  24. I would respectfully disagree. Cut Kelsay and keep Denney in his current role, as a backup and situational player. Neither have a pas rush (but if I recall, Denney has been more successful at pass rushing than Kelsay with fewer reps as well), but Denney is better at run defense. Kelsay is paid like a quality player. He's not. Denney is paid like a backup, and he's actually a decent backup.
