  1. OK. Now we know it's more than money. Byrd simply does not want to be in Buffalo. The Bills offer would have made him the highest paid safety (as reported) and still no signature. How much money is enough? We have long disliked Eugene Parker but we can add Byrd to the Parker/Peters Club. Here's my view, piss on Byrd. So long...
  2. That's simply wonderful. The past 30 years have been wrought with CEO's cashing in at the expense of employees who make less, have pensions taken away, pay more and more of their health care costs, and that's if they're lucky enough to still have health care. Between mergers, closing manufacturing facilities, outsourcing, they destroy what made this country great. Here's three cheers for Bernie Ebers, Kenneth Lay, Dennis Koslowski, and virtually all the CEO's in general.
  3. A look back at that era and what Tasker accomplished only leads me to think of one other ST player who was recognized but never given the credit due him. His name - Mark Pike. Tasker made the splash plays but Pike more consistently did his job. He was a big man who could run. Too small to play DE, but special Teams? He was truly a great ST player in his own right. If memory serves, he's the all time leader in the NFL for ST tackles.
  4. Well said. As for those sick of the hype, etc., find something else to do.......
  5. Personally, I prefer non-fiction......
  6. Sounds like your adversary is a Faux News disciple. Facts and the truth have nothing to do with his position.
  7. He definitely played well for a rookie and earned the honor. Yet, it could be just me but the big plays he made early in the season seemed to be over with by mid-year. Maybe teams began avoiding him when in coverage a bit after his hot start with Ints. I suspect his off season workouts will focus on strength and endurance. He seemed to be on empty by the season's end. Excellent pick all told.
  8. As DC in Cinci, he helped put together a pretty good defense. Could be a very good hire by Minny...
  9. Skip on Evans. From what I've seen of him, he isn't worth our number 1. Very unimpressive to me.....
  10. Evans simply is not that impressive. I can only hope the Bills would pass on him, especially early in the draft.
  11. But he would be a huge upgrade over Bradham or Moats and possibly Lawson who mostly played very decently this year.
  12. Disagree. Wade came up with that tag when speaking of Chris Watson.
  13. Hairston? The same Hairston who missed the entire year wirh a mystery illness or injury? In this day and age, I'm surprised that nothing has leaked out.....unless we missed it.
  14. Most around here haven't called Fitz the worst ever, and most generally liked how he gave it everything he had. Yet, he had to go as he was too limited, and too inconsistent. It's time for everyone to get over Fitz, regardless if you are pro or con. Manuel may end up not being the guy, but we may not know for another season or two. The change had to be made.
  15. They have shown enough. They both fail to get the job done. Mack would be a great addition
  16. Defending Graham is ridiculous. Anyone with a pair of functional eyes wouldn't. He jumped on the TD which left me scratching my head. Then he jumps again on 4th and 2 and ends up dropping a ball in his stomach. If; and that's a big if, he can run decent routes so what. He can't catch. Goodwin is very raw but has shown hands to at least some degree and more toughness than Graham but two flaws hurt him big this year. First by consistently getting hurt and needs to be taken to school on how to beat press coverage. I had hopes for Easley but for whatever reason, he doesn't get a shot. Not being able to beat out Graham or even Hogan is not a good sign I guess.
  17. They had to make changes. Chan was undone by Fitz and a horrible defense. One thing I miss is the spread offense. CJ seemed far more effective given the space.
  18. OP suffered credibity concerns with stating SS. LG, run stuffing LB, RT, And a Megatron clone WR. No more smurfs.
  19. I still believe the Bengals are the worst, but the Jag's helments are number two.
  20. With evaluation time upon us, might it not finally be time to see what Easley has to offer. He's got some size and decent speed. Play him!
  21. Thanks for the video...brings back some great timea..
  22. not a fan our our poor attempt of being a zone blocking line. It jut doesn't seem to be working at all.
  23. .......... No where near an apples to apples comparison. Their season wasn't down the drain. How can our line do a great job, like they did against KC, but look so pitiful as they did Sunday? First game against the Jets, they were poor, and while we didn't run the ball well in the second game, the pass blocking was good. In the past, we've had success running out of a spread formation, but we just don't employ that formation anymore. Spread them out and then give Freddie and CJ a shot for crying out loud..... I would also move Stevie back outside, and use Chris Hogan in the slot, thus benching TJ Graham, a complete waste of a roster spot, and rotate in Easley so he can get some quality reps. Time to experiment a bit. It's time to play for roster spots and those who perform, stay, those that don't........
  24. It was Kiko who was late to the hole on the 80 yard TD run by Rainey. Other than that, I don't recall him being badly out of position, although my head was hanging for most of the game due to the pitiful performance by the offense.
  25. That may be a more than just a bit of a reach, but one thing is certain, Pettine's system and a position change has made Aaron Williams one.
