Time Outs should be used only as a tool of the Offense to get more time to score more points. Defensive Time Outs are for the weak and ill-prepared (unless it's to stop the clock to get the ball back for your Offense).

They dont have any extra protections as long as they are running. But the act of sliding is essentially giving up and putting yourself in a defenseless position. Can't have defenders taking shots on sitting ducks. They already made it so the ball is spotted immediately where the slide started. No extra yards or anything. These rules have been in place for a while, and there's never been a problem. Still isnt other than some Steelers fans want to whine about something that didnt even happen.

Diggs should be allowed to play out his contract here and finish his career as a Bill. If we draft a WR in the 1st, we get that guy and Diggs, 2 #1WR for the price of 1. And then when Diggs' contract runs out, we got the new guy on his 5th year option.

Diggs had YACs yesterday where he fought for extra yards and took the hits. Josh also had runs yesterday where he gave up and slid. It's called playing smart.

Rudolph had a late slide with our LB already engaged and our guy managed to pull up and dive over him. It's possible. I agree that defenders are put in tough positions, and they arent always going to get it right. But it isnt impossible either. As a matter of fact, I'd say defenders are able to pull up (enough) more often than they can't. I'd argue that on the Josh penalty, the defender did not pull up as best he could. It was a late dive into an already sliding QB, and not the same type of approach they would take if they were actually trying to tackle a runner.

Steelers players were looking for any excuse to give up on the play and did just that, and then folks are upset with Josh for the Steelers' weak performance. Any defender who wants to win would have closed that distance to make sure he slid and still had plenty of time and space to pull up. Steelers just gave up.

On the Josh run AND the Shakir touchdown, there were a lot of Steelers pumping their arms and making it look like they were trying hard for the tape, but not really trying at all and just running along. They were done. I call that "going through the motions".

I wonder if a Steelers fan could have gone black ops and thrown a snowball at the ref or even his own players just to get Buffalo hit with a penalty?...
