If we bring in an outside OC, Brady will have an OC job somewhere else that day.

Drive-thru marijuana dispensary near Highmark?
DrDawkinstein replied to notwoz's topic in Off the Wall
Havent been much impressed by the current dispensaries in Buffalo that I visited over Christmas. Decent spots for picking up edibles and that type of stuff. But the flower product was just ok, and damn expensive. Going to "my guy" is still a much better option for both quality and price. I did like Herbal IQ on Transit in Depew. Probably where I'd go back to next time as well. -
He's earned the right to present Terry his plan for hiring a DC and solidifying the OC spot, so he can go back to the job he's being paid for, which is managing the entire team not just the Defense.

Agreed Pierce did a good job and has certainly earned himself an opportunity for an interview. But I also have to wonder how much of his success was due to the "rally around the interim HC" thing, versus how it looks with a real, full year and trudging through training camp, etc. I think a lot of stuff gets forgiven with interim HCs that would normally get the side-eye from some vets.

For all the clamoring for Rome Odunze, he sure did look like the second coming of Gabe Davis last night. I guess getting the same player at a rookie price instead of what Gave will get in FA is nice for the cap, but I wasnt that impressed going into the game, and certainly wasnt wowed from that game. The first thing Brady did after taking over form Dorsey was inject a ton of motion to help Josh read the defense. There were multiple videos about it from Cover1 and even O'Sullivan and Warner. So we're on the right track

Yes, and iirc the meeting went horribly. Same as the 10 hour meeting between Harbaugh and the Vikings last year. Dude is out there and tough for NFL owners to deal with. With Harbaugh, the issue isnt convincing him to leave college football. It's convincing the owners he's worth dealing with.

The League already pushed it into May so it can spread out across the whole year. I dont think Roger would mind moving it back another weekend or two.

That's pretty much HALF of February even

Bills fan murdered after game

This should be way bigger news, the headlines on all the morning sports shows, and pinned to the top of this board. This garbage has to stop. It's just football. -

And yet, it's most likely only one of them will end up being good. Crazy. -
Yeah, that's why he was an after thought in an edit, haha. I dont think he was that impressive running the Cardinals' O. I dont know enough about his offense or his tendencies to say I'd even want him for Josh or not.

It's not an exact list. But he is this year. And I'd argue he and cousins are the boundary line. -

a CLASSIC! -
You'd have to hope for a fired Offensive Head Coach who is willing to take a step back for a year or two until another HC opportunity comes along. Any top OC is already lined up for the many open HC positions. Beyond that, you are hoping to catch lightning in a bottle with an up and coming first-time play caller. I agree the job shouldnt be handed to Brady. But I dont expect to find many better candidates. Given his experience at LSU and already calling plays for the Panthers and now the Bills, he's pretty much the top OC candidate out there. If the Bills dont hire him, he'll have another job that same day. edit: That said, Reich and Arthur Smith are NOT the right guys. Probably not Josh McDaniels either. Kliff Kinsgbury?

I'm not so sure on that. He's put up Top 10 numbers in this system with these weapons throwing to his first read. But looking at the list of great and good QBs... 5-6 Top Tier QBs mahomes allen burrow jackson dak Then the rest of the pack with some really good QBs at the top: cousins herbert goff purdy stroud lawrence stafford hurts mayfield carr Not sure I'd put Tua above anyone until we get to the Hurts/Mayfield area... and that's #13/14ish. If he's top 10, it's barely. -

Yeah, for sure. It's my perception, but I wont argue it too much. I dont have a ton of math to back it up... -

The tie down on the back of Rapp's helmet?
DrDawkinstein replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
Rapp the ASSASSIN strikes again! On the punt return, he had the block that pushed his guy into injuring the other Dolphin, springing Harty. On the 2nd last play, he crushed Hill, breaking up the pass and injuring Hill. On the last play, big INT and managed to only injure HIMSELF (looked like he got his win knocked out landing on the ball) That's a RAPP! Given that the Dolphins offense centers around Tua getting the ball out in 2seconds or less, I'm surprised we werent jumping routes sooner/more often. I get that the flip side of that tho is, you miss the ball and the WR is gone for a TD. -

I didnt say anything about close games or blowouts. I said we play down to bad teams and play up to good teams. We blew out Dallas and Miami. Both good teams. I'll give you that we also blew out the Raiders and Commies early in the year. Those week 2-4 home games are our sweet spot. We played DOWN to the Giants, we played down to Mac Jones, we played down to the Broncos, we played down to the Chargers and Eastman Frickin Stick. We played up for the Chiefs and even the Eagles. And definitely Dallas and Miami. -

I have to imagine the Bears would be happy getting a 2nd rounder for him. Everyone knows they are about to cut him and move on. -

DrDawkinstein replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
My biggest worry is that the Steelers arent good enough for the Bills to play UP to. We seem to play down to bad teams, and especially make bad QBs look great. -
Arbitrarily? We've drafted at least 3 Safeties to develop as their replacements, spent years working on them, and no one is even close to being ready to fill in. Yes, Douglas and Rapp, two experienced vets who needed no developing, look like they are set to take over those spots. That's the exact problem I'm pointing to. Not a major problem. I'm not bashing anyone or saying we can't develop guys at all. But as someone who also has pushed the "DBU" narrative, when I go back and look, I'm thinking I might've had it a little wrong.
