  1. vg point i didnt watch the game but its quite possible the refs warned the teams that further conflicts would result in ejections id DOES look unwarrented on that clip, but that could all change with the context you provided. i wonder if we will ever find out
  2. did you say that? if so i missed it and i apologize. but you should always provide direct sources so that people can go look at any comments themselves and see the wider context abqmarko?
  3. very well said i honestly think that chocker/big game player is pretty overrated. guys do what they have to do in a game and sometimes it works out and sometimes it doesnt. which way it goes depend dice rolls as much as anything else and defines how fans look at that player examples: brett favre was viewed as mr clutch bc he made some big plays in big moments early in his career. that label stuck to him LOOOONG after he had demonstrated that he was just as capable of the big choke as the big play. it wasnt until he single handedly lost a playoff game by throwing a ridiculously stupid pass that people started to realize maybe he wasnt so magic after all eli manning has had similar regular season production as romo, actually less, and yet hes viewed as a big game player bc he made a few key plays that helped them win superbowls. but think about the nature of those plays - he was in desperation mode and was basically chucking the ball all over the place. frankly, it was hugely lucky for him to not end in disaster. he did what he had to do and it worked out, now hes a hero both those guys are good but they are not vastly superior to romo or any other qb with terrific regular season results that dont happen to translate into playoff glory. with that much experience, i dont think the size of the game has any bearing on their performance. when you have that kind of sustained statistical success over a long period the results in a very small handful of games is really just the rolls of the dice lining up for some guys and not others if the girls are dumb enough to let him go now id love to have him here
  4. not to pile on, but the op was bad in so many ways first of all, im not one to usually demand proper english, but it was so bad i had a helluva time even understanding what you said. you work in the legal profession, doing what, washing windows? holy hell second, you quote a person in some article and you dont link the article or tell us what event those comments came from. not only is that awful message board ettiquite, you are basing a premise on something we cant find context in without doing some work to go find it, if we even can. its unfair the the target of your point, its rude to the posters trying to follow along, its just all bad third, well the point does seem weak, but any chance you had a valid one was torpedoed by one and two above theres a minimum standard to posting and god i wish some of the people around here would understand that sometimes
  5. yeah im not sure much has really changed except that ralph is drastically reducing his direct involvement with the team - which may or may not be good news. we really arent much better off than we were before this change in any meaningful way as far as i can see
  6. i think yall have lost your minds. id take romo in a heartbeat for a first. sure hes had some big game failures but much of that is just the roll of the dice. hes been one of the best qbs in the league for the past half decade and would instantly make this a playoff level team. somebody is going to give the girls that pick for him, i wouldnt mind at all if it were us
  7. i dont understand why the hell the chin isnt leading the voting. i believe the question is who do you WANT to coach the bills, not who you THINK will coach the bills. thus anybody that doesnt choose the chin is a maroon
  8. pretty tough talk for a one eyed fat man

  12. soon to be ancient history. just tell us who is next maybe they brought it to ralph and the fire everyone side was what turned the tide bc they apparently listened to you. so congrats
  13. idk if it was a month but certainly it could have been the last couple games. chan looked defeated recently, which was surprising considering how balanced he had been through difficult times before then. it looked to me too like maybe he found out a week or so ago and they just let him stay soon to be ancient history. just tell us who is next
  14. i think its pretty clear buddy was the decision point for personnel and chan had to coach them. not that chan didnt discuss talent with buddy, im sure he did, but im also sure ralph had buddys ear on that so all considered chan really had little choice to ultimately leave it to buddy for the most part you CAN lay fitz's underperformance on chan, but you simply cant leave buddy unscathed. buddy may or may not get another cycle, but he still is complicit in the failure and the elements within it. the question ralph has to answer is whether buddy can take it to the next level or should somebody else control talent acquisition? stay tuned
  15. the totality of buddys work is pretty good but he does get the big ding on fitz not playing up to his contract and then not getting the development guy in process. i can see why they gave it to fitz at the time but hes pulled a jauron since then and left buddy in an awkward position so its a demerit or twenty for the hick with no beard ralph is telling buddy right now that if he can find a quote unquote legendary name to take over and take gm/pres/whatever duties he will do that. does buddy want to stay on in some other capacity or is he ready to retire. buddy will say if its a real role then yeah ill stay but if its a face saving bump up then you can stow it. you and i have been through a lot ralph and i only want to stay if you think i can contribute in a real way. if you can define that then im in, otherwise you can kiss my ass ralph says ill let you know
  16. coaching is both overrated and underrated its underrated in that a good coach take take hisn and beat yourn etc etc its overrated in that any mediocre belidick can become an instant genious you could hire vince lombardi today and he might crap out. even hank bullough ok maybe not him but almost anybody else could brady themselves into a superbowl i just hope whomever we get it finally works the funk out

  22. over a decade ive been calling this the fans star or suck syndrome - youre either a stud or you should be run out of town. never mind that championship teams are full of second and third tier players that provide great value and allow the studs to do their thing
  23. well if ralph could lure one of the established names then id certainly prefer that. but if they cant attract a top prospect then letting this staff have another shot isnt the worst thing. perhaps im just stubborn, or perhaps worried we will just get another moobs, but i cant help but think the coaching they have now should be good enough. chan probably does have to get a real oc so he can focus more on being a real hc, but he does know how to put together an offense. pornstachios defense certainly was a massive dissappointment, but hes had good defenses far more often than not and i cant imagine hes washed up in that role. if we cant get a clearly better staff then i think the odds are higher this staff could pull a quick turnaround than an all new 2nd or 3rd tier coaching group the way most fans are feeling, selling tickets might force ralph to change just for the sake of change, but im not sure that alone is necessarily a good idea on the field
  24. they better freakin lose this damn game or im goin postal
