  1. After two years of getting crushed due to a lack of an offensive line, Drew Brees would have been just another name on your list.
  2. Sound more like Washington DC, 2010. After some thought, limiting this to 2010 would be inaccurate. Any recent period would probably do.
  3. Years ago weren't you arguing that they should try to win every game, even when the season was basically over.
  4. Any picture of Terry Hatcher would do.
  5. I guess the world has truly passed by me.
  6. According to other posts on the board, that kind of record disqualifies Fisher from coming to Buffalo.
  7. Yes, you used to give notice. I see I missed the peak but maybe I can get lucky and still see some. I was just out and it was absolutely clear. You couldn't ask for a more beautiful night. Don't get many nights like this in CNY.
  8. This is for Pete. It used to be a common to see a posting here when a meteor shower was scheduled to appear. Seems to have been lost in time. It looks to be clear in the Northeast. It will also give DJ something to do, since he isn't likely to be looking at film tonight.
  9. I understand he and Jim Kelly work really well together.
  10. I don't think he is even the worse coach in Bills' history. Bullough and Rauch were worse IMO. Now if you said he was the wimpiest, I would find it hard to argue.
  11. George Blanda gets no love??
  12. I don't think so, Rip Sewel is no longer pitching.
  13. Thanks for posting. At this point I get more out of reading your posts than I do watching the game. Any fan of the Bills in the 70's should be capable of riding though this storm, no matter how hard it is to take on a week to week basis. The newbie's I'm not sure about.
  14. This is the biggest reason Bills fans should worry. The higher the price the harder it is to make money. So in an odd sort of way, DJ is doing his best to keep the Bills in Buffalo. Just imagine what the team would be worth if it was successful.
  15. So which game did the Bills lose?
  16. And who was the last Bills QB where that wasn't true???
  17. I don't know what determines who has the double header but CBS had it last week, so I would assume Fox would have it this week. So that would leave the 4PM slot open for the Bills game. I believe in the past the local stations swapped slots a couple of times. It is good for both Syr stations if the Bills end up being shown.
  18. Not good news for small market teams if this comes to pass. NFG
  19. Stay to the facts. Lou Saban was not bargain basement. Neither was Chuck Knox. During the Donahoe era, TD hired the coaches.
  20. At this point in time, some would call it dreams, others would call it nightmares.
  21. Yes that catching the ball seems to be an issue. I can only remember Bob Hayes having any kind of success. After years of never using your hands while running, it is a big transition to all of a sudden have to use them. The only transitions bigger would be him trying to play soccer. Years ago, a lot of college football players were also sprinters on the track team, but things have become so specialized, I don't think that is true anymore.
  22. Doesn't Coleman's in Syracuse serve a Beef on Weck? Seems I had one at Coleman's in Oswego, which is now closed. Not up to Swiston's standards though.
  23. IMO, Dennis Shaw's stats at the time were mainly the result of Marlin Briscoe. Shaw threw the pass up for grabs and Briscoe somehow came down with it. Briscoe was a real joy to watch. And remember, he wasn't that tall. Among my friends at the time, Shaw going back to pass was referred to as "here comes another duck". He rarely through a tight spiral.
  24. In 72 or 73 I knew the guy who played back court with Smith at Buffalo State. He said several times, that if you put Smith along side any player in the NBA at the baseline and throw the ball to half court, Smith would be the one getting the ball. As it turns out, if that wasn't the truth, it wasn't far from the truth. He was a great athlete. RIP
