I hear you. I'm of the belief that Williams is back. As mentioned earlier, good IOL can be had in rounds 2-4. Maximize that first overall, even if it means making a strength even stronger.

Or - depending how the players come off, get Josh some high end weaponry. Fill the needs further down as mentioned. You've got one of the best CBs in the league. You make the other work best you can. We need to get after the QB.

The more I think about it, addressing the D (pass rush) through FA is the best quickest for immediate impact. Beane's focus, as I see it, will be improving the front 7. Deciding who stays/goes and working the cap is the challenge. I expect changes along this front 7. Draft wise - IOL and impactful skill position selections should be his focus. Supply Josh with the tools/protection to help him and the offense continue to evolve.

Re: Bills - would like to see a front seven w/pass rush ability. Maybe it's addressed in FA. Jets: Man - Any chance they stick w/Darnold? With bevy of picks, they could really do some damage elsewhere. Giants: Fans would be ecstatic with your rather "offensive" selections. With a healthy Saquon back, no more excuse DJ.

I'm no college guru to be sure - but I just watched highlights of several RBs and Gainwell stood out. Actually, several did. Javonte Williams, Chubba Hubbard, Hawkins. To your point, not necessary to go RB in 1st round.
