  1. The big hangup on that front is his wife and kids don't want to run the team, but don't want to be taxed twice from the sale of the team as well as the estate tax. So, really Ralph is hanging on to keep the Bills quite literally. Maybe she has a change of mind, but if that's been the case for the last 10 - 15 years I doubt she's change her mind.
  2. Seems like someone is off, though I think it may just be Hamilton not writing the CB rotation accurately... BuffaloBills.com report
  3. Given the fact that Wannstedt likes waves, two whole if he can at Defensive Line, I think quite the opposite - that a guy like Edwards is a good one to have, even as the 8th or 9th DL.
  4. And the Aussie and Rugby punts are very helpful too for a team directionally speaking. Lots of tools and size (a Nix favorite) for this man.
  5. If I remember correctly, Tyler Thigpen also had one when he signed in the shortened season, albeit I think on the practice field?
  6. As NoName just said, the 50 front is essentially an eagled down version of the 3-4, so a few teams, most notably the Ravens and earlier in the 2000s the Pats have run it.
  7. I've seen a few people on twitter (or maybe same person re-tweeted) saying this is horrible for CJ and they'd like to see him go to a team that wants him....Huh?
  8. Thanks to twitter I didn't bother to watch ESPN at all yesterday, since so many complained that once they finally 'found' someone to break the news from their end, they had her on loop. Shameful.
  9. I try to avoid saying film on a player, unless it's someone on my actual team. Unless you have the all-22 on a guy, film is just highlights. There are some youtube guys that do a great job of putting almost every snap from a guy on a video, but there's only 2 or 3 of those guys and a ton of the others. Nowadays, the program the NFL teams use (either DVSport or another one I can't remember) allow you to put your cut ups of the playbook onto a central server the players have access to. Then from there they can read their playbook in PDF with editable notes, then look on their DVSport App and see it visually. It's great because all of them use the same system, so you can show him footage of another player doing a play the way you want your player to do it.
  10. Chan came on and said the following: -Gilmore was a good pick not necessarily because they don't like the corners they had, but his potential to be better than them in the future. -Glenn to them is a LT and only needs to lose a few pounds to be effective in NFL. Glenn told them when they talked to him that he feels like he could play well "around 330" -He liked TJ Graham because he was a guy that could fly down the field and add more speed to their draft. Even though he is an unfinished product they feel they can develop him while he is producing for the team -Mentioned last year was tough because of the injuries and hopefully they won't need their 4th LT or 4th center in the season -Talked about Stevie's surgery and how "it's only minor surgery when it's not your kid" The rest was covered by the OP
  11. Don't forget that Randle went 64 to Giants as well, who said they had a 1st round grade on him. I can see Buddy seeing him in a similar fashion, given his production despite the QBs he had.
  12. The best thing about this guy is he listened to his coaches in every aspect - from what they wanted him to weigh to how they wanted him to block. So Joe D and our strength coaches will find a weight that keeps him mobile, agile and hostile! If he's a chubby Marcus McNeil who can lose weight and not have neck/back injuries, we got ourselves a steal at 41.
  13. Chan and Buddy just said on their press conference he will play outside. Hello Speed for Stevie...
  14. And some of those WGR guys were in on that, "I heard from sources he left too", so even the locals cannot be trusted.
  15. Don't forget that prior to training camp (which he had next to no reps in as well as no mini camp) he was told prior to season he'd be ILB in 3-4 and weighed almost 260. By end of season Wannstedt had him get down to around 240s and will probably report to camp around 238. He'll be a lot faster and instinctual with this time with the team and in a defense that isn't very complicated and very DL friendly, which in turn makes it look VERY LB friendly. If they take Kuechly, as good as he would look, remember the lines other LBs (Fletcher in particular) played behind before the usual "this guy is better than x" convos start...
  16. I get the draft sometimes has surprises, but Randle lasting that long seems very unlikely.
  17. I'd move up Floyd and Glenn, move down Kuechly round 1. Round 2 I'd add if possible Vinny Curry. Round 3 I'd move up Randle from Round 4.
  18. Well done Tipster, now copyright it before someone does! Also, Bill - if it were the Bills of old, reaching for a LT who eventually becomes a mediocre player just to say "we got one" would occur. Like others have said, if Buddy's down with a player, I see him doing an 8 second pick as he typically does. If they take a guy in round 2 or 3 and gives the Bills the quality protection a McNeil did for SD, I will have no complaints. Heck, a year in strength and conditioning and a true off-season would be great for Hairston too!
