"Beer is proof that God loves people and wants them to be happy." -- Benjamin Franklin "Whoever invented beer is a wise man." -- Plato "Beer. It's what's for breakfast." -- Dr. Who

Says the fella named Bad Things . . . I agree, though. I would rephrase slightly. Optimism can be blind and irrational. Hope, however, is necessary for any happiness, even the capacity to act rationally. A certain daring combined with gratitude is a rare, but winning combination.

510 yards, 4 TD. Victory formation. What a game.

Now here's a fella that understands negative posting. Don't you boys have a union or something? As you point out, this slip shod work is going to reflect badly on the realists.

You're not grasping the cerebral core of the opposing argument. We haven't won a Super bowl. It must mean Josh is coasting. He's got a Hollywood girlfriend, after all, and he plays golf.

Ah, well, OP is a troll of very little brain. You are going to overload his limited cranial capacity if you try to get him to grasp anything that goes beyond "must be Josh."

Player predictions before the season starts…

I agree with almost all of this. Van Demark seems to be strictly a LT, though. If Brown struggles, they will try Ifedi first. I think Rapp is the dark horse on D fella. -
Up by three at the half against TCU. I was hoping he'd wear the cowboy hat. He backed it up. Good for him.

Happy Belated Birthday fella. One of the good guys.

So disappointing. I expected more from a Klingon.

I'm optimistic heading into this season

And by the same metric, simply being a fan is a "homer." Of course, there are polyanna types, but when hoping for best plausible outcomes is grouped in with irrational optimism, one's sense of "reason" and "facts" is just as distorted as what is abjured. -
Jets sense frustration from Aaron Rodgers after spotty practice

What's worse, you know that if Elam is on the field doing the exact same thing, the flag is coming out every time. -
Excellent explanation. The narrative I have more often heard is that MLB is the qb of the defense and it is too much to throw at a rookie. However, I think your rationale is quite persuasive.

No.

I believe he has to be on the Texans' roster through week 6. I read that somewhere, in any event.

Speculation and discussion on Bills final roster cuts
Dr. Who replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
I understand things are in flux, but thanks for the warning I guess. I am not going to assume that signing a veteran RT means Anderson is the fella who goes to make room. Maybe that's how it is. His versatility across the IOL and youth make him more attractive to me than some of the veteran depth who might have trade value. -

I am pleasantly surprised they kept Alec Anderson. I was afraid they were going to be knuckleheads and cut Anderson, whilst keeping Quessenberry. Ferguson is the LS. They cut him in order to keep Shorter or Spector on the roster. Tomorrow they both go on IR and Ferguson comes back. -
I love Kincaid, but those all seem plausible. Some folks are sleeping on Cook. That negative is going to get annoying, though. The D better be opportunistic and cause turnovers, because that's the only way to balance out the weakness.

Speculation and discussion on Bills final roster cuts

It opens up a spot for another player somehow, no? -
Ah, well, I suppose I could have worded that better. Most folks would just figure that the last sentence referred to the subject of the thread, which would be correct about intention, but not grammar. Antecedents are tricky sometimes.

His dad's a professional arm wrestler with something like 17 world titles. I remember an ESPN feature on him before the draft. I was hoping we'd pick him up late.

WGR speculating the Bills will make a trade
Dr. Who replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
30 yr old downhill runstuffing MLB cut by the Texans. Beane had interest in him a few years back as a free agent. Apparently he is pals with Poyer and Hyde. These are his numbers from last year: 124 tackles, 3 sacks, 7 TFL, 7 QB hits, 2 INT I pulled all that from what others said in another thread. Most feel he would be at least a solid floor to a position that currently is causing a lot of angst. -

The guys we got now are comfortably bad. They need to upgrade if they can and I think they will. -
You invite a hippie over to play qb and everyone starts getting petulant . . . and the munchies.
