  1. It is always possible but I doubt they cut Milano next year. Cutting him would cost the bills an additional 1.1 million in cap space.
  2. With it being a bye week and more than half the season figured it would be a good opportunity to get everyone’s thoughts on the teams needs for next year: OL- I don’t think any FA or draft investment is needed here. We bring back all 9 olineman and a couple promising guys on the PS RB- Cook and Davis are a nice 1-2 punch. My guess is being back Ty Johnson on a minimum deal and then have Gore compete not much of an investment needed TE- Kincaid and Knox will be back. The question is do we bring Morris back on minimum deal or just promote Davidson from practice squad? Again not much of an investment if any needed. QB- Allen is here and that’s all that matters. They seem to like Mitch they might bring him back on a 2 year minimum type deal but I would like to use one of the day 3 picks to draft a guy who will be here cheap for 4 years. WR- Shakir, Coleman, Samuel are all back. I think a 2-3 year deal for cooper and another 1 year deal for Hollins makes sense. Use a day 3 pick on a wr to develop. If the bills can get cooper back they need to make very little investment in the offense through FA and the draft. on defense this is where I see a lot of high draft picks being used LB- Milano, Bernard, Williams, Spector, Andreson are all under contract. Morrow will likely walk and I could see someone like Dodson returning on a 1 year deal to fill out the depth chart CB- Benford and Johnson are the guys, Elam will be here as will Ingram and Lewis. An investment will need to be made here. The question is will they purse a vet or use an early pick. DL- Groot, epenesa, Oliver, Carter are the young core. Do the move on from miller and jones? Do they bring back smoot? I expect multiple draft picks and possibly a FA or 2 signing. Solomon will also factor in here as depth S- Rapp will be a starter, bishop and Lewis will be here. Do they re-sign Hamlin? Should they? Is Rapp and Bishop the starters with Cine and Lewis the back up? Seems like an investment needs to be made if Hamlin walks thoughts!?
  3. All 9 offensive lineman will be back next year too. We potentially could invest a late rd pick on Oline but in reality we don’t need to touch the position in FA or the draft
  4. As others have said probably weren’t sure on Samuel. It also gives hamler a game check to also keep him happy. With Virgil being elevated to the 53 and shavers also getting called up multiple times probably wanted to gives hamler some incentive to keep working hard and get a little pay bump
  5. Agreed a I think Ankou for louge swap makes a lot of sense but that still leaves 2 roster spots. Maybe Cine up from Practice squad to replace edwards. Still seems like there is an available spot for an outside addition
  6. Rapp was always going to be a starter. He was here last year so knew the defense and they gave him a 3 year deal. I think the thought edwards would be the other guy with Hamlin and bishop backing up this year with bishop taking over next year but injuries in the offseason derailed that plan
  7. Bills ow have multiple open roster spots I would expect some moves today: edwards cut Smoot on IR Thatopens 2 plus louge seems like a very easy player to cut and put on practice squad
  8. the next 6 games before the by it’s pretty realistic to go 5-1 or 4-2. Bills at worst should be 7-4 going into the bye week with 2 games against the patriots at the end of the season. Going 2-2 or maybe even 1-3 in the other 4 games probably wins us the division at 10-7 or 11-6
  9. I would be calling the panthers about Diontae Johnson. He is in the last year of his deal, would be a resign candidate next year for a reasonable deal at age 28.
  10. Personally spending 40-50 million on 5 guys on the online to me is a better investment than paying a single elite WR 35 million a year. But I know everyone has different team building philosophies. Josh Allen threw for 400-4500 yards a year when he had an elite high paid WR in Diggs. This year I expect he will still throw for the same amount of yards it will just be split amongst more guys. If we had Jefferson and chase on the team I don’t think Josh Allen suddenly stars throwing for 5000 yards I think it ends up like the dolphins where hill and waddle get all the catches and yards and no one else gets any. To me having a top online and dline with numerous solid consistent guys at the playmaker position will get us farther than a couple of elite wr
  11. Brown is one of the most athletic tackles in the league and still only 26 years old. I get he isn’t a star WR or DL but he is young and still developing and can be a top RT in the NFL. A lot of people also keep commenting on the young pipeline of OL. I am excited for those players as well but none of them have started an NFL game. To just say we would replace Brown with one of them is a bit of a stretch and exactly what people are crying about this year and that we filled out WR and Safety group with a bunch of unproven guys. We now have the opportunity to keep our entire starting OL and depth together for the next next 2-3 years. We have a ton of picks available next year and without having to invest picks in the OL you can use them to get impact playmakers
  12. I think it’s a pretty big upgrade over last year. Settle and phillips sucked last year. Carter is a fairly high draft pick who was productive in college and Johnson is an experienced 55 game starter.
  13. There really isn’t a bad seat. Everyone has their own preference. I personally like the 300 level as close to the 50 as possibly. Incredible view of the entire field
  14. I think the bills will be fine with the wr group they have but this season feels much like the 2019 season setting up for a splash at the position next year. I do think this group has much more depth than we every have had 2019 WR/TE group: John brown (averaged 586 yards per season prior) Cole Beasley (averaged 467 yards per season prior) Mckenzie (averaged 98 yards per season prior) knox (Rookie) duke williams (Rookie) robert foster (541 yards rookie season) 2020: diggs (averaged 924 for yards per season prior) Beasley (averaged 506 for yards per season prior) brown (averaged 715 for yards per season prior) mckenzie (averaged 154 for yards per season prior) davis (Rookie) knox (388 yards rookie season) 2024: samuel (averaged 483 for yards per season prior) shakir (averaged 386 for yards per season prior) kincaid (673 rookie season) knox (averaged 393 for yards per season prior) coleman (Rookie) MVS (averaged 525 for yards per season prior) claypool (averaged 376 for yards per season prior) Hollins (averaged 281 for yards per season prior)
  15. I am truly curious how you define number 1 wr. Is it tds, yards, targets, catches, position, or some combination of that? If Kincaid has 90 catches is he a number 1? If shakir has 1100 yards does that make him a number 1? if Coleman has 10 td is he a number 1? What if he has had 75 catches for 950 yards and 8 tds this year. Do you consider him a number 1 going into next year?
  16. Last year our 4th/5th6th receicers combined for 26 catches for 236 yards. the combination of Hollins, MVS, and Claypool, Hamler, or Cepheus is light years better than the back end of our roster last year. Any one of those guys could likely beat that number by themselves. Yes Diggs and Davis are gone but towards the end of last year when we were winning those guys were not helping the team. Knox is back healthy, Kincaid is in year 2, and shakir is an emerging top slot wr
  17. I think your logic here is pretty good. I think Solomon and Carter are the toughest to predict. The one I disagree in is hardy. I think he is the primary punter returner this year and a depth slot corner. In 2-3 years I could see him taking over the starting role from Johnson as he hits his 30s
  18. I thought it would be interesting to find out to see how everyone would rank who from this draft class will have the best Buffalo bills career. My list is below 1 being the best and 10 the worst. 1. Bishop 2. Van Pran Granger 3. Coleman 4. Davis 5. Hardy 6. Carter 7. Solomon 8. Ulofoshio 9. Grable 10. Clayton
  19. I think most of the roster is pretty much set but there will certainly be some interesting battles in camp at a few positions: Saftey- Lewis vs Hamlin LB- Jones vs Spector vs Ulofoshio for 2 spots DE- Toohill vs Jonathan Rb- Johnson’s vs Frank Gore Jr OT- Collins vs Gramble vs Doyle vs Vandermark for 2 spots IOL- Anderson vs Clapp WR- Hamler vs Shorter vs Isabella vs Shavers vs Cepheus for 2 spots
  20. I like Ty Johnson as I said in my original post and I fully expect him to be RB3 however as you pointed out he only had 37 touches in 10 games. He was also on our practice squad for the first half of the season. I just don’t consider him a lock.
  21. I don’t know why everyone assumes Johnson is a lock. I think he is going to be in a competion with frank gore jr for the last running back spot. He likely makes it as the 3rd rb but he has always been a journeyman RB and although I liked what he did at the end of last season people act like he accomplished way more than he actually did. his stats: 132 rushing yards, 0 TDs, 1 fumble 72 receiving yards 1 td
  22. I’m just not seeing how everyone thinks this team is way worse than last year. In my eyes it has the potential to be better. QB- same but better depth RB- I would argue better. Murray ran out of gas last year. You add a rookie with plenty of production and have johnson looked good when he got involved at end of last season. TE- Same to better. Kincaid year 2 and Knox healthy. OL- Likely slightly worse. I don’t expect too much of a drop off. Morse is a loss but Torrance will be year 2 and brown coming off his best season. Depth should be much better. WR- Worse, there is no debating losing diggs doesn’t make us worse. Worse. We don’t have that true number 1 proven guy but shakir keeps improving and Coleman, Samuel, Hollins is way way better than Davis, Sherfield and harty. DL- Better. Yes we lost Floyd but you have Von a year removed from injury. Tohill is an upgrade to Shaq and we have a rookie coming in who had 16 sacks last year. I think it’s safe to assume he will be an upgrade over Jonathan who did nothing. At DT jones is back after missing most of last year. The 2 DT free agent signing and the rookie should be a big improvement over settle, phillips, and ford who were not good last year. LB- Better. Milano is back, Bernard year 2. Young, athletic depth. CB- I am going with same here. White has been MIA for over 2 years. We get Benford and Johnson back and we now have Douglass for a full year. Yea we lost Dane Jackson but I think getting Douglass for the offseason cancels that out. Will be nice to see Elam get more playtime he showed playmaking flashes when he was out there. S- slightly worse. Losing poyer and Hyde is tough to replace. They were aging so their impact last season wasn’t what is once was but it’s still going to hurt. I really like Bishop but I just don’t think anyone can say we would be the same or better without those guys this year
  23. This is the siran Neal replacement with way more speed and return ability
  24. This board: Shorter sucks (pick 15 in round 5) also this board We must take a wr at the end of round 6 or the draft is a bust! It’s comical
  25. For everyone still going on about wr. Anyone who gets drafted now would be competing with shorter. He was the 15th pick in the 5th round but no one mentions him. the bills need another wr but they should be looking for a vet after 6/1 like chark, obj, Gallup to fill out the roster if they can’t swing a trade
