  1. Their defensive gameplan will be to show up.
  2. My hope bubble is popped early this year too. I'm still going to go to the bills backers bar and watch the games, but I'm not expecting much. Normally I'd be excited and think the bills might have a chance this year. Right now, I don't think they have a chance in hell, and they're going to waste an incredible defense with that shitshow of an offense they put together.
  3. No way. Whaley is easily the duff's guy.
  4. I think this roster is decent. I feel like it's missing a #1 WR and a #1 QB. Rivers and Ben should be decent, but that combo should have let you grab a better WR #1. I don't think there's much difference between Doug Martin, and say, Alfred Morris, Toby Gerhart, Rashad Jennings this year. But there is a huge difference between Victor Cruz and Jordy Nelson. I probably wouldn't have made the trade you did. I don't love MJD as a #3, but he should be OK. Sankey as a #4 is great but there's questions about his role at this point. I like Patterson, Cooks, Benjamin a lot. Just feel like you're missing a really good #1 WR there. Julius Thomas is great at TE, obviously. I'd say this is pretty damn good. I don't love Sammy as a #3, or Ruben Randle as a #4, so I think you have some work to do on the waiver wire here. You'll might need a replacement for Gronk for week 1 too. I would have also liked someone a little better than FredEx as your #3 but I think he'll be decent. Overall, pretty good team. I'm a bit scared of RG3 right now, I hope you have a solid backup plan if he doesn't work out. I'm in one league where I'm super worried about him. I'm also scared of Foster, and Bush has some question marks, but I do like him. I wouldn't doubt at all if Bush ends up being RB2. I'd probably have passed on Foster and grabbed another high end WR, but I get why you selected him. Jordy is a good pick in the 3rd, and Cordarrelle could be a really good WR, although I like him better as a WR3. Ben Tate is a great RB4, and I really like Brian Hartline as a WR5. I actually dislike the Ruben Randle pick the most out of all of those. Kyle Rudolph is my favorite TE target this year. I've been trying to get him in every draft. I think he's in for a huge year. Keep an eye on Henery, rumor is they're going to replace him with a free agent kicker because he's been horrible in camp. Don't let that catch you off guard. Overall pretty solid team. I actually think it could have been a little stronger if you replaced Foster with another top WR (you'd still have Bush / Tate as RB2/RB3), but I like it a lot. Keep an eye out for a backup plan for RG3.
  5. Not a great QB, but did great work with the young qb prospects at elite 11 this year. Worked with Blake Bortles a ton. Basically a player coach, who is a better coach than player. Makes sense to bring him in to help mentor EJ. Neither Tuel or Thad can really help on that front.
  6. What's really disappointing is Thad Lewis last year looked like he could be a pretty compettent backup. Can't think they thought he might regress. Could have still used another QB though, given Tuel/Dixon.
  7. I thought Spiller had a good game yesterday. We'd be talking more about it if it wasn't for a couple good runs getting negated by penalty.
  8. And despite those under performing lines, Matt Ryan threw for 4500 yards and 26 TDS. Stafford threw for 4600 yards and 29 TDs. Rodgers had 2500 yards and 17 TDs in 9 games. Big Ben had 4200 yards and 28 TDs.
  9. The one that I linked showing an opposite ranking for GB was from last season too.
  10. Funny how OL rankings are so varied by who is doing them. I've seen people rank GB's really high and really low. Shows it depends heaving on who is ranking them. Ex: http://www.footballo...rs.com/stats/ol GB is #26 on that list in pass blocking, and #5 on the list you linked. Shows it's not that easy to evaluate OL play. Personally, I tend to agree with the OL rankings here, which match up close with what I said: http://subscribers.f...e=bitolrank2014
  11. CLE, MIN, TEN come to mind as teams with good OLs and crappy QBs.
  12. Matt Ryan Andrew Luck Matt Stafford Aaron Rodgers All those QBs play behind below average to bad OLs IMO. Green Bay's has been especially atrocious over the past few years, same with ATL.
  13. Gotta hand it to Coach Marrone. This is the fastest any of our head coaches have gotten the team into midseason form in years.
  14. Schwartz promoted to head coach?
  15. A qb that's worth a damn? Generally, yes.
  16. I hate Chandler.
  17. It is. They've been doing it once a week. They are airing live tonight for example. This applies to the non DirecTV version
  18. SiriusXM, Soundcloud, and Facebook Groups.
  19. I agree, Calvin, Graham, and then whoever you like better between Vereen and Ellington.
  20. I'm rating this as a PPR, I think that's a big distinction with this team. I think this is a really solid team. Good lineup, and I actually think in a PPR Vereen will be your #1 RB. I love Dez and Keenan Allen this year, and Andre Johnson as a #3 is solid. Graham is awesome too obviously. Zac Stacy I'm not big on because he's purely a volume guy, but you should be able to get decent RB2 production out of Stacy/Gerhart/Miller by playing the matchups. I'm personally not a huge fan of Cam this year, but he's obviously decent. I like the squad a lot. @buftex my guess is he went Graham then Dez in the 1st two rounds
  21. I feel like he said he's likely always going to throw in the low 60s and op took that to mean bust.
  22. The defense faced the most drives in the NFL, which means they are going to give up points that they otherwise wouldn't have. To compare, the Bills faced 209 drives, while the Seahawks faced 179. That's 17% more drives, which is a huge difference. The offense left the defense in a hole lots of time.
  23. Marginally better? The Bills were #1 in the league last year in yards allowed per drive. http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/drivestatsdef If the offense even becomes mediocre this could be a good team.
  24. I really hope Cordy a nd Chris Williams are back for the regular season.
  25. That sounded more like he's speculating the Bills wouldn't do it more than having some inside information. I agree with him that it's unlikely, though, for the reasons he outlined. Gotta get some cheap youth talent there.
