What you're really looking for is an RSS reader. Feedly used to be awesome, but they recently started doing things like hijacking articles to show ads on them. I've heard really good things about both the new digg reader. I also have heard great things about AOL reader. I'd check both of those out. I stopped using RSS myself and am using the services that basically try to find news articles you'd like and show them to you instead of browsing specific sources. An example of this kind of app would be flipboard.
