  1. Twelve. They threw his way twelve times and got 18 yards.
  2. While technically all of those are in Texas, Ft. Worth, Waco, and Houston aren't close to each other. And way different. Joe B needs some Texas Geography!
  3. Hah. Today he said Fitzpatrick will beat the Bills passing because Leodis McKelvin sucks. I agree with him on Leodis McKelvin sucking, but I'm not sure that counting on Fitz is the right way to go.
  4. I love an imperial ipa from a little brewery in Pflugerville texas. Rogness Titanoboa. Very hoppy but very well balanced. Great beer.
  5. Mlife has Bills minus 2.5. I like it but I'm a bit scared to bet it.
  6. I would suggest that you go back and re-read the start of this thread. Including where you replied to me out of nowhere like I was replying to a post you had made. I was just commenting on the situation.
  7. How does placing Peterson on the exempt list create a precedent for other cases? They're completely separate.
  8. This was the right move. Peterson already admitted that it was him, and the evidence is clear as day. The Vikings screwed it up the first time but they made it right today.
  9. I agree that Peterson thinking it's appropriate because it happened to him changes things. It's precisely why this should be treated harshly and cautiously. As long as he doesn't understand why this is wrong and is willing to do it again, he's an endangerment to that child. I hope he receives harsh punishment from the nfl and some time off, and I hope he uses that time to become educated. With all the resources available to a multimillionaire there's no reason we should ever accept "well that's what I know" as an appropriate answer. If he wanted to learn the best parenting techniques on the planet he has all the money in the world to do so.
  10. You keep saying that my post was wrong, but it's not. I highly suggest you go read Nick Wright's coverage on the story. He's been working on the story for well over a week, has listened to the police depositions, interviews, etc. He has by far the most in depth coverage on the case. He makes it quite clear that Adrian Peterson loves his son but has no idea the damage that he's inflicted on him. He also makes it quite clear that the child is extremely damaged psychologically from this incident. I do not believe that because someone did it to him is an acceptable reason to make it okay. To me, that's a silly argument. Just because ssomeone abused you doesn't make it okay for you to abuse someone else. That just perpetuates a cycle of wrongs and tries to justify it. Nick Wright posted a series of tweets summarizing his story here: https://twitter.com/getnickwright
  11. I believe his lawyer said that. Here's what Peterson himself said in a CBS Article: Yeah, he "felt bad" but wholeheartedly believed he didn't go overboard.
  12. He hit his kid in the balls with a switch. And he doesn't think he did anything wrong. That's enough for me.
  13. Where's the option for the bills being eliminated after week 17?
  14. I think Michael Sam signed with the big D a long time ago. Probably before college.
  15. "Saint Doug"? Seriously? It's that's true... F him. I'd be totally fine if they fired Marrone and promoted Schwartz. I'm not convinced he's a very good coach. Maybe he'd have a clue on how to use their offensive personnel.
  16. 2013 Defense: 10th YPG 13th Scoring D 4th DVOA (Football Outsiders) 2013 Offense: 19th YPG 22nd Scoring O 25th DVOA (Football Outsiders) I think it's pretty clear which side of the game limited us last year.
  17. Quick correction - Texas is in the Big 12, not SEC. Should be 12 SEC.
  18. I have it pegged right at a touchdown myself, so I don't love this line. Not going to touch this one.
  19. Check out this article where Vegas bookmakers say they don't play for 50/50: http://www.covers.com/articles/columns/articles.aspx?theArt=252144 In fact, the head from the Hilton (now lvh) says games are uneven 90% of the time. The gold Coast bookmaker says that they make all their money on the lopsided games. What you said makes sense but doesn't mesh with what I've heard the bookmakers say, both online and in other interviews.
  20. The whole Vegas balances money thing is often repeated but not exactly true for football. There are a lot of games with extremely uneven bets. They set the lines to get action as a priority over balancing the action. They want lots of bets to be made and lots of money on the table. They will attempt to balance the games sometimes, but there are a large amount of games with lopsided betting when it comes to the nfl and college football.
  21. I think the Bills are a tough match-up for the Bears. The running game will be on and the defensive line will slow down Cutler. However, the inability to punch in touchdowns will ultimately doom the team. I see a 21-16 type of game in favor of Chicago.
  22. That's not really even a question. Keep Peterson and Rodgers
  23. https://mobile.twitter.com/MatthewFairburn/status/505540596254380033
  24. Yep. More to come.
  25. Chicago Miami San Diego Houston New England I don't think that's easy at all. Outside of Houston those are all pretty good football teams.
