As a fan of nd, I’m griefed they didn’t make it but don’t think they’re the caliber of the top 5, Alabama is an awful entry imo.

This was obviously not a good year for Alabama. That said, their schedule was brutal, and they had to play in a usesless, meaningless conference championship game. They were the only team to beat Georgia and then were forced to play them again.

Otoh, Notre Dame played all of two good teams and lost to both of them. The  rest of their schedule consisted of largely hand picked patsies. They would be just another team in the SEC. If they want to be taken seriously they should join the Big Ten.

At some point, hopefully the SEC and Big Ten will quit the NCAA and form their own leagie.

  3. I loved you then I guess I'll love you forever
And even though I know we could never stay together
I think about how it could've been
If we could just start all over again

    And I'll
Never be the same without you here
    I'll live alone
    Hide myself behind my tears
    No, I'll
Never be the same without your love
    I'll live alone
Try so hard to rise above

  4. Now that you found yourself losing your mind
    Are you here, again?
Finding that what you once thought was real
    Is gone, and changing

Now that you made yourself love me
Do you think I can change it in a day?
How can I place you above me?
Am I lying to you when I say
That I believe in you? (La-la)
    Oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh, I believe in you (la-la-la-la-la...)

  5. One fine morning girl I'll wake up
Wipe the sleep from my eyes
Go outside and feel the sunshine
    Then I know I'll realize
That as long as you love me, girl, we'll fly

And on that mornin' when I wake up
I'll see your face inside a cloud
See your smile inside a window
Hear your voice inside a crowd
Calling, "Come with me baby and we'll fly"

    Yeah, we'll fly-y-y, yeah, we'll fly
    We'll fly-y-y, yeah, we'll fly

Yea that's a bad look for Beane. Was Ingram a critical piece? No. But did he provide some useful depth? Yep. Should you throw that away for a 34 year old? No.

Yep, this is all on Beane. MMcDermott has proven time and again that he has little concern for corners and focuses mainly on wide receivers.

It must be because the guy has never won a national championship as a HC.

How many active coaches do you think HAVE won a national championship as a head coach? Answer:

There are four active college football head coaches who have won a national championship: Kirby Smart, Dabo Swinney, Ryan Day, and Mack Brown. Smart and Swinney have each won two championships, while Brown and Day have won one.

    Kirby Smart

    Dabo Swinney

    Mack Brown

    Ryan Day

    Am I missing someone?

Is Sarkisian also not a good coach because he too has never won a title? I consider Sark to be the best offensive mind perhaps in all of football.

Lane is a very good recruiter and a great offensive strategist. He seemed to have learned quite a bit about coaching from Nick Saban, however he does admittedly come with a certain amount of baggage. I do however feel sorry for Ole Miss, who I think has a chance to actually win a title (although less of a chance due to his departure). And btw their qb (Chambliss) looks pretty damn good (as does yours). Lane got him from Ferris State and turned him into a possible first round pick. Also, Jaxon Dart is getting rave reviews from Giant Fans. Does Lane get some credit?

The Ole Miss program might take 10 years or so to recover and I readily admit this, but Lane is the one who revived them and built a very good team.

Like I said. he learned a great deal under Saban.....

Yea this years offseason will be very interesting. They still have holes on defense(like always) still need help at Defensive line, need to upgrade the LB spot or at the very least the depth, and they need secondary depth especially if Dorian Strong retires.

On the flip side we all now know we need WRs(including Beane finally) . The offensive line will have 1 or 2 departures depending on Edwards and McGovern and Torrence has 1 year left. Definitely need help on the interior, if you have faith in Lundt going into year 2, I think I’d move Grable inside and start cross training him there to kind of be our new Anderson.

Agreed and although Dawkins isn’t old, he will be 32 when next season starts and like all players, he has had his share of injuries. We need offensive help far more than we do on the defensive side.

    Jmo.

More likely, they go back to the DE well in round 1.

This would not surprise me one bit. Last season their first five picks were on defensive players. They sixth pick was a TE; the next pick was another DB to make six of their first 7 picks defensive players.

The Bills definitely need wrs. They also (imo) need depth on the offensive line. I think that drafting wrs and OL would make Josh even more efficient and actually put less pressure on the defense. Will this happen? Sadly I doubt it.

You make a great point, Bill.

Another early playoff (before the AFCCG) exit - to me - is still grounds for dismissal.

If this pathetic roster gets to the AFCCG, then I would have no choice but to give McDermott some credit.

To that point, I think Beane is an utter failure and if I was presented with a “one goes/one stays” option, I’d choose Beane to go without blinking an eye.

Brandin f*cking Cooks?   Are you f*cking kidding me?

    Beane sucks.

The only place where we may differ is that I hold McDermott at least equally reponsible for the ridiculous drafts. In 2025 our first five picks were defense, this on a team with substandard wrs, and an all time great QB playing behind an aging OL. Remember, McDermott is the defensive coach, and he traded away the Mahomes pick in order to draft a freaking cornerback before Beane even arrived in Buffalo. This move was comparable to Marv Levy's 2006 draft, one of the worst, most idiotic in NFL history. I think it is totally unfair to only blame Beane for this mess.

McDermott does seem pretty daring when it comes to going for it on 4th downs, and why not? Josh Allen is his QB. When it comes to team building (not coaching), McDermott is a bald, clapping version of Marv Levy. Marv is a great man and was  a good coach for a while. He was not a good GM.

  18. Actually this is a really good question imo. My answer however is not listed. I want the Bills to make the playoffs AND I want McDermott fired. If Beane has to go as well so be it. And I do get it....if they make the playuoffs and win the Super Bowl, why SHOULD they be fired?

I am an Alabama Crimson Tide Fan. If they win on Saturday, they will be in the playoffs. Do I think that they are the best team in the NCAA? Not at all. Not this year. That said, they are good. Their defense is looking MUCH better than early in the season. If they get in the playoffs, things can happen on their team and their opponents teams to make winning at least a bit plausible.

It's the same in some ways with the Bills. We have Josh Allen. He is great and can make things happen. If the OL plays up to their potential he will throw TD passes and Cook will also kick ass. If we get a few breaks, who knows? Coming into the season I thought that the Eagles and Lions were great. Now, they only look good. Things change.

Anyway once again, good post. The above tedius post is jmo.
