I just can't help believing
When she smiles up soft and gentle
With a trace of misty morning
And a promise of tomorrow in her eyes...
And I just can't help believing
When she's lying close beside me
And my heart beats with the rhythm of her sigh...
This time the girl is gonna stay
This time the girl is gonna stay...
For more than just a day

Do you remember
The 21st night of September?
Love was changin' the minds of pretenders
While chasin' the clouds awayOur hearts were ringin'
In the key that our souls were singin'
As we danced in the night, remember
How the stars stole the night away -
You know more about the team than I do, but their schedule was absolutely brutal. I have a feeling that they really might not be as bad as you think. Please, name me a team that could stand up to that schedule.
They play Alabama next week and I don't know what the point spread will be, but I have a feeling it will be approx. 17 and I think this is far too high. Milroe ranges from great to frustratingly mediocre and I would not lay big points to Oklahoma.

I can't imagine this guy being able to withstand body punches from Tyson. I think that boxers lose their legs and reflexes as they age, but not their ability to punch.
This should be good.

My choice is Orlando Pace in his prime. He was big, as strong as an ox, brutal, and very agile. He would open holes for Marshall Faulk that trucks could drive through.

Erik Williams was the most dominant RT I ever saw. Bob Brown was also scary good but Williams was flat out great. Nobody was going to out muscle him, and he was also very agile for a RT. If he was on the Bills they are a different team, and there are not that many RTs who could make that much of a difference.
And while we are talking about Tackles, when Leon Lett was healthy, he might have been the best DT I for one ever saw.

This is wonderful news, and may God keep up the great work!

Milroe was great against LSU this past Saturday, but they didn't ask him to pass a lot.
That limited his flaws/inconsistencies.
It seems when they ask him to pass more, and if he can't get into any rhythm, the "bad Milroe" appears: poor footwork/mechanics, poor field vision/progression and indecisive/poor decision making.
He is so maddeningly inconsistent.
Last year, it was reported OC Rees had to simplify the offense because Milroe was struggling grasping Rees's offense.
DeBoers offense is supposed to be somewhat complicated, and he's dealing with what talent he was left with.
Back in September, DeBoer said he has less than 50% of his offense installed for this year, because he doesn't have the correct personnel to run it.
So any talk of how he is on the hot seat this year is extremely premature.
This was his best game ever imo. He was 12 of 18 for 108 for 108 yards. The thing is, there were two drops which were not his fault, and one of them was not a short pass.
That said, he improved every phase of his game vs. LSU. We always knew he could run, but this time he made quick decisions. He also took less sacks. A player with his size and speed should never have taken as many sacks as he did coming into this game. Milroe is a very intelligent kid and already has his degree, but his decision making wasn't that good.....until Saturday.
This team is more talented than most believe, despite their current record. The really big loss they suffered was (ahem) Caleb Downs, who really might be the best safety in the NCAA. That said, the Bama secondary really is improving. This kid Bray Hubbard came from nowhere and is making plays all over the field at safety and the young corners are progressing well. The defense gave up a combined total of 13 points against Missouri and LSU at night on the road.
If Milroe can continue to play at this level (and I'm not at all sure that he will), teams will be badly mistaken to take them lightly. In fact, I can't think of a team that they could not compete against, but again; Milroe has to at least stay at his level of play vs. LSU. If not, we are through.

I call your name, but you're not there
Was I to blame, for being unfair
Don't you know I can't sleep at night
Since you've been gone
I never weep at night
I can't go on -
You keep your distance via the system of touch
And gentle persuasion
I'm lost in admiration, could I need you this much?
Oh, you're wasting my time
You're just, just, just wasting timeSomething happens and I'm head over heels
I never find out until I'm head over heels
Something happens and I'm head over heels
Ah, don't take my heart, don't break my heart
Don't, don't, don't throw it away -
Don't you ever, feel sad
Lean on me, when times are bad
When the day comes and you're down
In a river of trouble and about to drownJust hold on, I'm comin'
Hold on, I'm comin'-

Got to pay your dues if you want to sing the blues
And you know it don't come easy
You don't have to shout or leap about
You can even play them easy
Forget about the past and all your sorrow
The future won't last
It will soon be your tomorrow-

That’s my go-to spot, but I’m just realizing it’s pretty pricey and the Hampton Inn is full. I should book my reservations now for the opening two weeks next year then cancel the road weekend. I’ll spend more as long as I’m getting more.
I have stayed at the Williamsville Hampton Inn many times and it is great. Walikng distance to restaurants and breweries and just down the road from the Eagle House, a GREAT restaurant.

No it's not. No matter how much you want it be.
He is halfway through his first season.
Kirby Smart went 8-4 his first season at UGA, and he lost to Vandy, Tennessee, and GT. All of them at home. And it's not like he was handed a crap roster.
Lack of discipline is a HUGE problem. DeBoer has an ice cream truck and loud music at practice. The players are not used to being this comfortable.
That said, the elephant in the room imo is Milroe. Great runner, strong arm, but he isn't a good passer or decision maker. There is talent up and down their roster. The receivers, TEs, and running backs are fine, but; teams are jamming the line of scrimage and daring Milroe to throw, and he just isn't very good at it, at least when compared to their previous four (if not six) quarterbacks. My biggest fear wrt the Tide is that Milroe gets a poor draft grade and comes back for his 3 million NIL.
It's time for them to turn the page at QB.

I can't find the article - but I read one a few days ago where it was either GMs or scouts telling college quarterbacks to not enter the draft unless they've started at least two full seasons in college because that's the realistic floor of experience to have a chance of success in the NFL.
That makes a ton of sense. Mac Jones was GREAT in college but he only had one season as a starter. Although QBs (including even Peyton Manning) need time to adjust, I don't consider the NFL to be a developmental league.

Colts drafted 95% athlete, 5% football player. A story as old as the NFL draft itself.
Unfortunately for the Colts, Joe Flacco is 95% football player and 5% athlete at this stage is his career.
I like the way you phrased this. I remember him well when he played at Florida. He did have a huge amount of talent but I wasn't all that frightened when he played against Alabama. Ironically, Alabama now has a QB with a similar great skill set (Jalen Milroe) who is not a favorite of mine (although he would never tap out of a game).
The following are Richardson's college stats. Drafting him in round one was a dumb move imo. There was nothing to indicate that he merited a first round pick.

A 7th for Dexter Lawrence if they pay his salary?
I very rarely get to watch the Giants but I saw some of his highlights. Serious question, is he the best, or one of the best DTs in the NFL, or was the great play from him that I saw on the highlights just an outlier?
He looked like freaking Leon Lett on some of the plays I saw.

Loose Lucy is my delight
She come running and we ball all night
Round and round
And round and round
(And round and round and round)
Don't take much to get me on the ground
She's my yo-yo, I'm her string
Listen to the birds on the hot wire sing
Yeah, (Yeah) yeah, (Yeah) yeah, (Yeah, yeah) yeah

Yesterday a child came out to wonder
Caught a dragonfly inside a jar
Fearful when the sky was full of thunder
And tearful at the falling of a star
And the seasons they go round and round
And the painted ponies go up and down
We're captive on the carousel of time
We can't return we can only lookbehind from where we came
And go round and round and round
In the circle game

I think that Jackson Dart from Ole Miss is good enough to be a successful NFL QB. I think that he has the potential to be as good as Brock Purdy, however I would like to know how @GunnerBill and @BADOLBILZ and others view this kid.
