Beane lost me this year. I was his biggest advocate, but after this season I can’t defend him anymore.
I think that McDermott is more to blame than Beane. McDermott hired Beane, the year he traded the Mahomes pick and drafted a corner. McDermott has far too much power and leaves little hope for a Super Bowl win.
As always, jmo.

He didn't deserve better today. He helped dig himself the hole he couldn't climb out of.
Please, name me a team with worse wide receivers. Rumor has it we could have had Waddle for a 1st GB. Do you tthink that we would have lost with Waddle on the field?

Some in this fanbase don't deserve Josh Allen.I agree but only to an extent. I think that alcohol is the drivng factor behind most of these anti-Josh posts. Many will wake up in the morning and say wtf.

Seems like a good time for a new coach and gm
Not the worst idea. It just might be the time to fire Beane and his boss.

Damn, I feel for him
I don't blame him. He is probably thinking about the 2026 draft.

Forget about his 4 turnovers, which were all awful.
There were plays to be had and he was off all day.
He missed Knox for a TD and the last drive before overtimeHe missed missed Hardman in overtime, which would’ve surely put them in fg range.
You need your best players to be at their best in big moments, and they weren’t
He had opportunity after opportunity and didn’t get it done.
This is on him and the defense failing in crunch time, again.
Yeah, he never should have dropped all of those passes, and he should have drafted wide receivers instead of focusing on cornerbacks.
Wait.......never mind!!! I take it back. Josh Allen is the best player in the NFL. Period.

I wonder, wonder who, mm-ba-doo, who?
Who wrote the book of love?Chapter one says to love her
You love her with all your heart
Chapter two, you tell her
You're never, never, never, never, never gonna part
In chapter three, remember the meaning of romance
In chapter four, you break up
But you give her just one more chance -
Smart move. I never cared much for the Giants but they are building a good team.

I strongly agree with the consensus. I am not young, and I think that this Houston defense looks as good as almost any I have ever seen, and perhaps the best in this modern era. Their front four looked like the old Steel Curtain and the secondary is stacked with good players.
I know that the NFL is now a league based on offense, and I'm not at all thrilled by Houston's QB, but again, that defense is just that good, so yes; I would rather face New England than Houston.
As usual, jmo.

I think it's a mix.. most of the schools still have to recruit good at the high school level
But when you have 10 or 12 or 18 kids transfer after the season.. you are probably better off replacing those guys with experienced players from the portal you don't have to rely on freshman or red shirt freshman
It is a mix, but the portal is growng rapidly in importance.

I saw him with The Grateful Dead, Furthur, and Kingfish (if anyone remembers them).
Thanks for the memories. RIP.

“Portal combat” has ruined my will to live. I can’t take it anymore. Wake me up in August and show me the team.
I think that recruiting means less than the portal these days. Teams develop players, only to see them leave for more money.
It is frustrating but this is what we have.

I'm sittin' in the railway station
Got a ticket for my destination
On a tour of one-night stands
My suitcase and guitar in hand
And every stop is neatly planned
For a poet and a one-man bandHomeward bound
I wish I was
Homeward bound
Home where my thought's escapin'
Home where my music's playin'
Home where my love lies waitin'
Silently for me -
Long distance runner, what you standin there for?
Get up, get out, get out of the door
You're playin cold music on the barroom floor
Drowned in your laughter and dead to the core

Takes a whole pail of water just to cool him down

He would probably be the 4th QB taken after the 2 playing tonight and Simpson. He’s a little smaller so not all teams will love him. Maybe someone takes him 2nd though. I like him a lot. He’d be great sitting behind Stafford a year with McVay as his HC
Yeah, I think that the kid is excellent to the point that if they had even a reasonably good defense, they could have had a very good chance to win the title.
Again, jmo.

I think he’s got enough arm talent. He’s over 6 feet, athletic, makes good reads and most importantly has ice water in his veins. I’d for sure take him in the 4th if he’s still sitting there. Sit behind a vet with a creative HC like McVay and Look out…
Fourth? In this draft he will probably be picked in the 1st or 2nd.
Jmo.

He would certainly disagree with that statement.
Saban ran screaming back to CFB after only 2 seasons as HC in the NFL (he described his 4 seasons as Browns DC as the worst 4 years of his life)--and this from the best CFB HC ever! These guys get paid so much not to keep them from jumping to the nFL, but from jumping to a rival school--nothing could be more obvious right now.
NFL isn't a great place for even top CFB coaches. Cignetti has absolute unquestioned control of that football organization in Indiana. Instead of a meddling owner, he has the typical docile university President. Instead of a GM to be at odds with, he has some AD. Instead of season ticket holders he has boosters who are lining up to pay the salaries of his players!
Imagine going from that to the Giants and dealing with the clueless Maras and Slow Joe Schoen.........
In Miami, Saban begged for Drew Brees and was given the horrid Daunte Culpepper. As you say, he didn't have control.

Like I said abf, McDermott has too much power.
@BADOLBILZ told us before the season started that where were to be seeded did matter alot in this and previous years. He also told us that our wide receiver group was sub-par. Of course, he was right as usual so (imo) it comes down to: who do we blame. Beane, McDermott, or both? I lean towards blaming McDermott the most but again, this is jmo.
