2022 NFL Draft:
Pick 21: 1st Team All-Pro CB Trent McDuffie
Pick 22: Respectable LB - Quay Walker
Pick 23: Kaiir Elam
Pick 24: 2nd Team All-Pro OT Tyler Smith
Pick 25: Two-time Pro-Bowl C Tyler Lindenbaum
It takes skill to screw this up so badly.George Karlaftis was also there, but who needs Pro Bowl blockers and fine pass rushers when you have a chance to trade UP for a corner?

I would have given him away for free honestly. Getting rid of his cap space is a win on its own.
The amazing thing about this situation is that the Bills actually traded UP in round one to draft this cornerback. Then again, maybe it wasn't so amazing.
Pitiful nonetheless.

I fully agree. I would expand on it but it would get political and I don't want to piss off @Simon, and I swore off the Politics Board some time ago.

Or Bosa has 5 sacks and it becomes a dribbler back to the mound for Beane. You know a fa acquisition is bad when you hear dozens of comments like "when healthy" or "it's only a 1 yr deal".
I'm not so sure. Times have really changed. That deal is now considered cheap. Decades ago, when we signed the great Bryce Paup, iirc he got 3 years for 7.5 million. That was considered good money in those days.
This contract could turn out to be a bargain of sorts. Let's hope!

If it seems your friends desert you
There's somebody thinking of you
I'm the one who'll never hurt you
Maybe that's because I love you
Call me, don't be afraid, you can call me
Maybe it's late, but you call me
Tell me, and I'll be around -
Not enough emphasis on defense. We should draft defensive backs with the first four picks at the very least, and trading away picks to our rivals should not be ruled out, as long as we can get secondary help. Trading up for dbs would be a great option.
Also, why waste a 6th round pick on a receiver? There is zero reason to make life easier for Josh Allen.

Like a one-eyed cheshire, like a diamond-eye jack
A leaf of all colors plays a golden-string fiddle
To a double-e waterfall over my back -
Something tells me I'm a fool
Let you treat me so cruel
But nevertheless I say again
You gotta be waiting

Blue's the colour of the sky-y,
In the morning, when we rise,
In the morning, when we rise.
That's the time, that's the time,
I love the best.
Mellow is the feeling that I get,
When I see her, m-hmm,
When I see her, oh yeah.
That's the time, that's the time,
I love the best.

Very smart move by a very smart GM.
Barkley is on a team chock full of GREAT receivers, all of whom draw defenders away for the LOS. Barkley is such a sensenational back that he draws coverage away from the receiving corps. Now, add in the fact that they have the best OL in the NFL and you have a scoring machine, this with a very good, but non-superstar quarterback. The OL is SO good that on one 'tush push" play, OG Landon Dickerson pushed three yards beyond scrimage for an easy TD against the Chiefs.
The deal is only for two years and most likely won't be renewed. Normally I would not like giving this kind of contract to a running back. In this case I can't find any fault in doing so.

I think we should offer this season's 1st and 2nd round picks, and throw in a #2 from next year for good measure. I mean, how could we go wrong?
You can't have too many corners. Just ask Marv Levy.

And after the love is gone
How could you lead me on?
And not let me stay around
After the love is gone

A bit of advice for those who might be pondering marriage. Make sure you do your research about your potential partner, and also do a deep dive into her family history.
Mental health, medical, generational trauma, etc. You’ll be living with much of these factors down the line. Also, what does your potential mother in law look like? Genetics are powerful, and that’s probably pretty close to what you’ll be looking at every day for as long as you remain married. Petty? Maybe so, but true. 😂
Wonderful advice. Sadly, most people do not know these truths.

Thanks for your work!!!
I will however say that if Jihad Campbell lasts until #48, lots of teams will be very sorry. This is one kid who vever stopped improving.

I don't mind when the time, sets the sun to the moon
I just don't want to be lonely
Let the stairs find you there, at the end of the room
I just don't want to be lonelyI'd rather be loved and needed
Depended on to give a love I can't give
When you're gone, when you're gone
I just don't want to be lonely
I'd just rather be loved -

As I remember, Dockery and Walker weren't even bad players, just nothing special.
Langston Walker was a bad RT. Dockery was flat out terrible. I remember once the Bills were playing in the mud. The players were filthy except Walker. His uniform looked like it was dry cleaned. Walker even had some sort of weird TV video he would do.
Dockery was much like Melvin Fowler. The both came in to a horrid Bills OL as free agents, and both looked as if they could play, but they stunk up the field.

Dawkins and brown are literally top five tackles lol
There's not 6 left tackles with Dion Dawkins resume over the last 7 years
And Spencer Brown is absolutely one of the best five great tackles in the world and only getting better
28 out of 32 teams would take our pair of tackles
That is an extremely high ranking. i'm not going to argue the point but what I will say is that if depth is not added, the whole thing can rapidly fall apart. The Bills have to protect Josh at all costs.
I never want to see the Bills return to the very long period of time where their OL just flat out sucked. Not ever.

Come on everybody

I think it is better to stay single than it is to get married and then get divorced. The problem with this is that there is a 50% chance that you will in fact get divorced. The odds on a divorce from your second marriage then skyrocket well beyond that 50%. What surprises many people is that most divorcees do NOT trade up.
I also think that being in a marriage that is honest and 100% equal is better than being single for you entire life. Don't get me wrong. I got married at 28 and had some unforgettable, excellent nights when I was single. Still, great relationships are a wonderful thing.
This is a good thread but I think that a divorce thread would be even more interesting, and of good use to those contemplating marriage. They might learn behaviors to both look for in a possible spouse and personal behavior to avoid. They would also undoubtably read a horror story or two, or dozens of them.

Blame him? I am not sure I'd blame anyone.
Do I think it is a quitter's mentality? Yes.
I disagree. If for instance his wife is making his life miserable, this means more than playing football 3,000 milies from home (if there is an option). Should he put his foot down if she makes it an issue and demand a divorce?
And again,, we are talking about six years down the road.
