It is beyond my comprehension how Rex could even be considered for the job.

No. I looked.
the facts will sink that Chief of Department. The whole department knew what this guy was up to. Multiple others have come forward as well. OT for sex.
I'm not supporting him. He appears to be a crook. The thing that also bothers me is the amount of pensionable overtime paid out over a one year period of time that the lieutennant accumulated. The department is rarely THAT generous wrt overtime. I know this. The fact that it went on for this long might indicate that the underling was at least sort of OK with this but again, this is not my case and I don't have a case file to read.
Again, IF there was duplicity on the part of the Lt., what bothers me the most is that false claims make it harder for women with real claims.

I want to wish good luck to the Ohio State crowd, and I think that you will coast to victory.
I DID tell you how great Caleb Downs is lol, and I think that he will help steal the game vs. Texas, as much as I admire and respect Coack Sarkisian. Sark imo is the biggest advantage that Texas has and this is not to disrespect Day who I know little about. Sark is an offensive genius imo but OSU has enough to overpower Texas imo.
In any event, I think that if your QB holds up I expect an Ohio State romp, one on which I might even be moved to place a small wager on just for fun.
Again, good luck!!!

Amazing video!!! Imo Josh Allen is already an all time great.
Josh is obviously super gifted with arm strength but some of his throws that I marvel at the most are his midrange passes between the fingers of two defensive backs. Yes, he has a cannon but I've seen him throw Kenny Stabler type touch passes as well, let alone his 10 yard "shovel passs." And on top of all of this, the man is smart.
All he (and of course us fans) need is a super bowl win. Josh is beyond great and a class act to boot. We are lucky beyond description to have him on the Bills.

Well up in the evening down in Mobile, Alabama
Working on the railroad with the steel driving hammer
Gotta make some money buy some brand new shoes
Trying to find somebody take away these blues
"She don't love me" hear them singing in the sun
Payday's coming and my work is all done -
This is not an easy case to pursue imo. 1.5 million would be awful hard to explain to his wife, let alone the IRS.
The following is another strange case of sexual harassment. This police lieutennant claimed to be involved sexually with a top NYCPD chief. The affair (which the chief does not deny) lasted more than one year, during which the lieutennant was paid more than $200,000 in overtime that seemed to have been authorized by the chief. She sued the chief and the department for sexual harassment. The chief resigned, (obviously in an attempt to save his huge and otherwise well deserved pension).
I cannot judge what happened because I obviously do not have the facts. That said, it would appear that they are both crooks, but again; I obviously do not have all of the facts. Perhaps nobody does. I never met Chief Maddrey but he is said to be a "very nice guy" lol. Either way, male menopause can be a strange, ugly thing.

What pisses me off is that when allegations are false, it falls back on the numerous women who are coerced into unwanted, forced, or quid pro quo sex. Women of lower incomes are often very susceptible to sexual harassment from their employers.
But, in terms of the Bayless case, It is much easier to believe the groping allegations that the 1.5 million.
Jmo.

But telling me that a 5 loss Florida team is better than Penn State is worth a kick in the jimmie....
Yes, I can't argue with that. That said, SMU was an utter disgrace and Indiana showed little. These teams were imposters. We will soon see what Clemson has. Ewers looks like he may have some problems, but I expect Texas to destroy them. You?

We thought it would decrease the quality of play. I've been pleasantly surprised that, in general, that has not been the case. It probably is for the elite programs like Georgia and Alabama because their monopoly on talent has been compromised a bit. But better distributed talent is making the quality of play appear better beyond that. When a team is just a position or 2 away from being really good.......they can shop for them in the portal and plug them right in. That's a good thing.
I think that a lot of players basically becoming professional at the HS level is leading to more mature players entering college. Look at Williams for Alabama. 17 year old superstar. At the pro level we have seen more young players hit the ground running than we did a generation ago. They play football year round growing up and seem more ready for big stages early. When they were just broke kids getting exploited I think the maturation and discipline were things that were more on the coach to achieve. Transfers used to be a sign that a player didn't like or respect the coach. Now it's about $ and opportunity. Players deserve that.
And I don't really think kid's being uncoachable or undisciplined are why Saban quit. IMO he just knew the days of being able to monopolize talent were over and he didn't want to experience occasional seasons like Alabama did this year. I think that if he had stayed in the NFL and had a HoF coaching career there he might do what Belichick did and gladly go back to college and try to build something. But going from winning championships every year or 2 to being just another really good team was a backslide for him. He set the bar too high. I don't blame him. He already owns the records. It's all relative and less success in the future if he stayed in CFB was basically a given.
There is not much in the above with which I can argue, other than the factor of discipline.
In camp, DeBoer had ice cream trucks and blaring rap music. I don't have the stats but there was a notable increase in penalties. Malachi Moore (a great safety who never had any issues) had a meltdown on the field and a very costly penalty. These things might have caused Saban to have cardiac illness.
Despite all of this I think that Milroe (not DeBoer) was the primary cause of Alabama losing three games. That said, do you think that Saban would have lost three games with this team, even with Milroe? I for one strongly doubt it if for no other reason, the discipline factor. I'm not sure that coaches will want to risk upsetting players now.
I do however agree with you that the talent will be more spread out. I mean, Derrick Henry had to wait a full season on the bench before he started. Davonta Smith caught all of FOUR passes in his freshman season before his title winning TD pass. Things like this may never happen again. Or will they?
I guess we will see how this all plays out.

Oklahoma State hasn't had a team capable of winning a national championship since the 1940's when they beat that powerhouse St Mary and were retroactively awarded a title 70 years later.😂
The team you are talking about didn't beat a team that finished anywhere near the playoff field in the rankings. And they lost to Iowa State and Baylor in the same season! OK State and the teams that beat them were not programs that could realistically be expected to beat an SEC team in a playoff format. The fact that you are in denial about it underscores my point. That was a season where Georgia and Alabama totally embarrassed their opponents in the playoff. Which is kinda' how the 4 team playoff usually went pre-NIL.
This is among the reasons why NIL and the transfer portal are good things. The elite programs are still very good but the talent has become better distributed. There are more teams with a chance now.........which makes a 12 team playoff possible. And the fact that the non-playoff teams have a little recruiting edge in the portal is what a pro league would call a "competitive balance" measure.
The way it was before may have been easier for a billionaire funded Oklahoma State to finish with a top 10 ranking.........but it was irrelevant because they had no actual chance to win a national championship tournament. Alabama's 3rd string had far more NFL talent than OK State's starting 22. That was how college football actually was. As bad as Michigan got whooped that season you could double that for that OK State. You wouldn't be wishing for it back if you got to that playoff. You were saved a reality check, obviously.
I am not against NIL. I think that it should be regulated but I don't see how it can be unless the players form a union, but; even that seems like a difficult if not unlikely scenario. My question is: Do you think that NIL will decrease the quality of play both in the NCAA and the NFL?
I ask this because I suspect that it may. Kids out of high school are paid hundreds of thousands of dollars, and I'm thinking that not many of them are equipped to handle this. I know that I wouldn't want to take a hit from Ruben Foster if I had a million dollars in my pocket.
I also suspect that it will be harder for coaches to instill discipline in these kids, especially for "Saban style" coaches. This is obviously why he quit. He talked about the value of discipline for his entire career. This was an instrumental part of why he (and his players) were so successful, and countless players do and will attest to this. Now, a player can tell a coach to "f*^k off" and go sign with another team. I just can't see how this will not hurt the quality of play for many of the kids both short and long term.
What am I missing?

Ouch! thank god for JA17 and the offense on this brilliant win today, but what do we make of this? I really don’t think this pass defense the last two weeks can lead them to an AFC title let alone Super Bowl. How does it get fixed?
What do I make of it? My conclusion is that because of Josh Allen, the Bills are good enough to beat any team, any place (to include a great team on the road, in a dome).
The term "generational" gets tossed around WAY too much imo. That said, when one watches Josh Allen, one is viewing a "generational" talent. Personally, I think that Josh is a more talented, better QB than John Elway, and NO sports fans in the United States are more deserving of having this great player on our team than long suffering, loyal Bills Fans.
