  1. We Are young but getting old before our time We'll leave the T.V. and the radio behind Don't you wonder what we'll find Steppin' out tonight
  2. And I chuckle about your pom pom waving, 1 man cheering section, (outcomes notwithstanding) but certainly, let's hope.
  3. If we can, let's put everything aside and let only logic be our guide for the sake of this conversation.... 1) If Carter is to be a "leader" on the Bills, please tell me who he will lead and when. 2) What do you think Josh Allen would have been more pleased to have, a 6'2" defensive tackle from Duke who might be a "leader" in the future (if he is still with the team) or another receiver with speed? 3) In round two (after trading down), McDermott selected a wide receiver who is listed as running a 4.62 40. In fact, on this linked site he had the worst 40 time of any listed wideout. Does this even concern you a little bit? https://gbnreport.com/2024-wr-ranking/ Now, if we play a 12 package we will have two TEs and a comparatively slow wide receiver, this for a QB with a cannon. Call me crazy but I don't like this very much. Btw, I re-read my post to you and consider it to be too harsh. I am sorry, and I do pray for more patience. Be well.
  4. OK, I'll bite. How in hell does this draft bring "leadership" to the Bills? Which rookie will be the leader? I understand your ever present pom pom waving. After all, it is a Bills Board. That said, is there any possible thing that McDermott could do that you wouldn't swear is great? Do you think even a little before you post about "leadership" from rather unheralded draftees? Geez.
  5. I fully agree. The Bills traded down twice in round one. Both teams to which they traded their picks selected a wide receiver. Then when their turn comes up, the Bills also picked a wide receiver. I just cannot understand how this can make sense to anyone. In round 2, McDermott of course picks a safety, thus using a premium pick on a postiion seen as less essential than most others. In round 3, he drafts a DT (also not a highly valued position in the new NFL) who is listed at 6'2". OK, got it. Talk about less important positions, how about a running back in round 4?! So there we have it, A comparatively slow wide receiver, a safety in round two, a short DT, and a running back with our top 4 picks. How much will this help Josh Allen, our GREAT quarterback? The answer would seem to be not enough. Sounds bad, right? The good news is that McDermott didn't draft the safety in round one, which I expected him to. Now, how much will Josh appreciate this debacle? You tell me. This makes the draft that much more suspect. As I said from day one, McDermott has WAY too much power in this organization. Beane is more of an administrator WAY more than he is a football man and has very little if any sway wrt personnel imo. McDermott needs to be shown the door if the Bills do not improve this season. Will he be fired? I don't think so. It's as if he cast some sort of spell on Pegula. Sad situation but we can just hope for the best.
  6. Forever, forever, you'll stay in my heart And I will love you Forever and ever, we never will part Oh, how I'll love you Together, together, that's how it must be To live without you Would only mean heartbreak for me
  7. Agreed but McDermott waited longer than I thought he would to draft a defensive back. I’ll be happy if I hit the power ball! 🙂
  8. Sure! Great move by McDummy to help the Chiefs improve their team by getting the player they want. i wonder why nobody on this board came up with this novel idea. No prob, there are still plenty of safeties ready to be picked.
  9. Let me be there in your morning Let me be there in your night Let me change whatever's wrong, and make it right Let me take you through that wonderland That only two can share All I ask you is let me be there
  10. Agreed. I don't want a Whaley type move of stupidly giving away the store with trade ups, and McDermott did give away picks for Edmunds and Elam. I also think that quarterbacks AND receivers obviously benefit from very strong offensive lines. A quarterback like Josh can find any receiver given all day to throw. Your stats went back 20 years but the NFL is an increasingly offense oriented league, passing in particular. I think that the Bills should focus on wide receivers and blockers for depth. This would well serve to keep the Bills competitive. One last point.....I saw the blame that you placed on the Bills losses in recent big games, but you left out McDermott. I'm just sayin.....
  11. I wish I was a headlight, on a north bound train I wish I was a headlight, on a north bound train I'd shine my light through cool Colorado rain I know you rider gonna miss me when I'm gone I know you rider gonna miss me when I'm gone Gonna miss your baby, from rolling in your arms
  12. So raise the candles high 'Cause if you don't we could stay black against the night Oh, raise them higher again And if you do we could stay dry against the rain Lay down, lay down, lay it all down Let your white birds smile up, at the ones who stand and frown Lay down, lay down, lay it all down Let your white birds smile up, at the ones who stand and frown
  13. I would pass hundreds of cars on my way to the morgue, and I suspect this speaks for most of us.
  14. I only want to hold you, I don't want to tie you down Or fit you in the lines I might've drawn. It's just that I, oh I have gotten used to havin' you around. The landscape would be empty if you were gone But it's all right cause I love you, and that's not going to change. Run me around and make me hurt again and again. But I'll still sing you love songs, written in the letter of your name. The rain is gonna come, oh it surely looks like rain.
  15. Goin' down the road feeling bad Goin' down the road feeling bad Goin' down the road feeling bad, yeah, yeah I don't want to be treated this a-way
  16. "Blue Skies" was as good as it gets. RIP Dickey.
  17. I know that it looks fine on one of those trade value charts but, I would not make the deal unless we could fleece a team that really needs the pick. There must be one sucker out there like Doug Whaley who would happily overpay.
  18. Even if it is somewhat realistic, the Bills don't need to trade back. It would be nice to see us fleece another team rather than McDermott getting foolishly swindled yet again.
  19. Yes, in the sense that at some point, Pegula might no longer fall for McDermott's "process" scam, realize that McDermott should not be running this team, and tell fellow owners that he is a farce and a waste.
  20. Good job but hopefully if he does trade down, McDermott will get more than a 3rd round pick.
  21. To my surprise, one hundred stories high People getting loose y'all Getting down on the roof Folks are screaming, out of control It was so entertaining When the boogie started to explode I heard somebody say (Burn baby burn) disco Inferno (Burn baby burn) burn that mother down (Burn baby burn) disco Inferno (Burn baby burn) burn that mother down
  22. You fill up my senses Like a night in a forest Like the mountains in springtime Like a walk in the rain Like a storm in the desert Like a sleepy blue ocean You fill up my senses Come fill me again
