  1. Clay does something similar. He runs patterns just short of first down yardage far too often.
  2. Cujo is pretty bad, but at least he seems to care. Henderson has a ton of ability. I knew this the first time I saw him play. Henderson let the team down and placed TT in danger in this game.
  3. Are you sure that was the play to which I referred? I really thought that the ref announced "before the snap, holding." I was wondering how this is possible. I suppose with the Pats, any penalty to the opposing team is possible.
  4. 1) I admit to being somewhat shocked to see Brady shouting obscenities at his blockers in the 2nd quarter. And yes, I was hoping that one of them would punch him in his mouth. 2) The end of the first half was particularly upsetting. Two consecutive drops, then to consecutive bad plays by Gilmore. Now, Gilmore had the pick and also the great break-up in the 3rd. He even added a couple of nice tackles vs. the run. The man can play, I just wish he was more consistent. 3) Graham did all he could to hit Brady. In the second quarter, one of the hits was just a bit low too. Oh well, he almost put him out. 4) Felton was useless tonight. 5) The Bills didn't lose anything when Urbik came in. As a matter of fact he threw the key block on McCoy's TD run. 6) If the Bills had any depth at all at OT, I would cut Seantrell Henderson tomorrow morning. He was so bad it reminded me of players such as Marcus Spriggs. That's right, absolutely terrible. 7) Everybody's bragging and drinking that wine, I can tell the Queen of Diamonds, by the way she shine. Come to Daddy, on an inside straight, Well I got no chance of losing, this time. No, I got no chance of losing, this time 8) Listen, I like EJ as a qb just a little bit more than I like scarlet fever. That said, it was very stupid to not pull an injured Tyrod at the end. 9) I didn't have one beer tonight, but here is what I heard the ref say: "Before the snap, holding #20, defense." This was the play with off setting penalties that brought back the interception. Did anyone else hear this. Please say yes! 10) Even before the injury, Tyrod was less than impressive. 11) Here comes the obvious.....why didn't Tyrod throw more often to Sammy??? 12) Nice game for Hogan. He could have got even more yardage too if he was lead properly or the throws were made earlier. 13) What a mess 14) GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. You left out EJ. Oh wait, was this a list of professional qbs and not practice squad misfits? Never mind.
  6. Dontcha wish your favorite college team had his as a coach? If they did, your team would win instead of lose.
  7. Wrong. If Miami would have let Saban have Brees he would have won at least one superbowl. Saban is a winner. If there was a higher league than the NFL he could win there too.
  8. I am always screaming for Tyrod to run himself. Imo there is not a qb in the NFL, including Wilson, who can run as well as TT. He does seem to be nursing a bad knee, but one of these days I expect him to break loose big time and gain 100+ yards. We shall see. GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. So was I and I called him everything but a child of God. Then about a month later, I was stricken with that flu. I couldn't eat for at least 4 days and lost 12 pounds. My fever was so bad that I was hallucinating red and yellow cartoons on my bedroom wall. I had every bad system you could imagine and seriously thought that I might die. Since then I made sure to take the flu shot every year, and I suspect that people who opt not to take it never really had a bad case of a serious flu.
  10. Sherman was a great comparison and actually strengthens the point I am trying to make. The cap will go UP, not down GB. And 40 million guaranteed is actually more than, or the same as what Revis got. Would you be ok giving the Sherman contract to Gilmore?
  11. I think that posters often turn a blind eye as to what Gilmore would/will cost the Bills next season. It is depressing. Here is the contract of Darelle Revis: http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/new-york-jets/darrelle-revis/ He's got 16 million in 2015, 17 million in 2016, and 7 million in 2017 GUARANTEED!!!!!!!!!! And you can bet that if he is still playing at or even near this level in 2 or 3 years, he will hold out for more guarantees. When Revis signed this deal he was approx. 30, and coming off serious surgery. Gilmore is much younger, healthier, and the cap is going up, not down. He could easily get a deal where he is paid in the vicinity of 15 million per season. I for one do not think he is worth this kind of money/cap space. Hey, maybe he IS worth it, but not imho.
  12. I am thinking that you are 100% correct. If we make the playoffs, this kid will never again play for 4 million dollars.
  13. We did, but he cost the team approx. 37 million real cap dollars and he simply did NOT win football games for the team. We passed on countless top players and even turned down numerous offers to trade down (I heard Marv say it). That draft made this team a loser for many, many years.
  14. They are similar, but McKinnie had a higher ceiling. I got the feeling that he never really cared. He was a guy who imo could have played at an Orlando Pace level if he worked hard, and Pace was my favorite LT. Teams signed McKinnie even after he was old and he was still decent. That is how gifted he was, or so I think.
  15. I forgot about Dalton! I wonder what his record would be if he was not playing on perhaps the most talented team in the league. That said, he is probably worth whatever he is paid these days. Edit: The Bengals did well with Dalton's contract..... http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/cincinnati-bengals/andy-dalton/
  16. That was a great deal, yes. Do you think Cutler would have taken it? Or Wilson? Or Eli Manning? As I said in a post below, teams will be crippled wrt the salary cap by these contracts and there isn't much that can be done about it. And I agree with metz above. Can the Skins let Cousins walk and perhaps wind up with an EJ or Geno Smith?
  17. No doubt, but there is more to consider..... Did you see the post about Cousins? I will bet you that Gilmore will cost within 2 million per season of what Cousins makes. Even if we were talking about Mel Blount, he can only cover one receiver and teams often play 4 or 5 wide. I see a new trend coming today. Teams such as the Dolphins, Bears, and perhaps the Redskins, will be hamstrung by having to pay HUGE dollars to QBs who are "good," but never really won anything. Even Seattle who did win is going to pay through the nose for Wilson! Now, a corner can have the same effect. I would not want to pay Revis 16 mil. per year. Sammy got the key first down against him, no? Darby was a GREAT pick in round 2! Off the charts wonderful selection. He doesn't kill your cap either. I have arrived at the conclusion that it is good to draft corners, but imo (and this is just that, imo), it is still dumb for an NFL franchise to squander its best resources on defensive backs.
  18. Thanks so much for the kind words. Aside from one game against Arizona (which I attended and he was given a game ball), I would not call him dominant. Imo he was a lot closer to mediocre. I disagree about the "danger signs" as well. He had a chronic ankle injury in college, and an obvious weight problem. I never believe the listed weights and if he was 375 it wouldn't surprise me. Since the MW selection, I am leery of guys like him in the draft. In college, his brute strength enabled him to just beat people up to the point of utter dominance. In the pros it very rarely works like that. One must be able to move and play football. Remember Charles Johnson? To this day I can't name 5 guys as fast as him. The kid was always wide open at MSU. I thought he would be a Hall of Fame player, but I thought wrong. He had a narrow frame (another flag imo) and was beaten within an inch of his life in the NFL, but I digress. My signature on TSW back then was "Draft McKinnie." They should have listened. Thanks again. PS: I always judge a draft by who a team passes on as much as by who they select. The Maybin pick was off the charts stupid no doubt but by my standards, the Whitner pick was really just as dumb.
  19. Unfortunately, that's pretty much where I lean in terms of a prediction.
  20. That is sadly correct.
  21. They have a freshman from California. In practice, he threw a football 70 yards through the uprights and Saban won't let him on the field. He is a big kid but he's skinny. Believe it or not, they might be better next year but they have to replace Henry.
  22. I liked Barron coming out of college more than I did Dre, but I wouldn't have taken him at #7. It makes no sense.
  23. No, but read my posts about Kuandjio before and after the draft.
  24. I predicted that the University of Alabama Crimson Tide might be pretty good in 2015.
