  1. 100% true. What should we as fans and posters on TSW do? A) Whenever the Bills do someting, strenuously agree. Here, I'll try.....Donte Whitner was a great pick because the Bills scouts know more than me. Does that work? B) Maybe we should never post at all because our opinions are invalid. Why? Because McDermott/Beane are great beyond question. I'll try again.....It was smart for McDermott to trade the Mahomes pick for a low return and draft a corner instead of one of the greatest QBs of all time. This is a message boards. Message boards are made to share opinions and interact with other fans, not to be altars of blind worship.
  2. I don't want to straight-face you Race or chase you, track or trace you Or disgrace you or displace you Or define you or confine you All I really want to do Is, baby, be friends with you
  3. Spiller was pure garbage. Just another ill advised draft pick. He had a few good games but he couldn't block, was not a good receiver, and he barely knew what direction to run.
  4. I am probably older than you. After the rule changes (2010?) I had to be dragged kicking and screaming into the new style of NFL passing based football. At the time I thought that was Arena League stuff. Now, it is impossible to deny what the NFL has become. Everybody makes mistakes but you just don't trade down from 10 to 27 and draft a corner when you DESPERATELY need a QB. In subsequent drafts we then traded UP for an ILB and another corner in round one. It's just very hard for me to not think that these were McDermott type moves given his history. It just seems like a logical assumption to me. Either way, GO BILLS!!!!
  5. Good post, thank you. I truly do hope you are right. I suppose that my nature is just more pessimistic than yours.
  6. This is true, but you left out the part about the Bills being desperate for a QB and McDermott trading the #10 pick (for scant return) all the way down to 27 and thus giving the Chiefs a dynasty with Mahomes. And before you tell me how many other teams passed on Mahomes, I don't care. We needed a QB desperately and McDermott not only screwed it up, he created a monster in a conference rival. McDermott got Beane the job. Or, do you think that he just drifted in from the Panthers? Let me make this clear: Your posts are great and you certainly are an asset to this board. To take it even a step further, you would be a huge plus to ANY football page, Bills or otherwise. That said, I will never quite grasp how you could think that Beane is the primary decision maker wrt the draft or perhaps even trades. My guess is that wrt trades, McDermott decided that Diggs had to go (a decision I was fine with btw) and told Beane to get the best deal he could. Would you agree with this take or do you think the decision was all on Beane?
  7. Will you stay with me? Will you be my love? Among the fields of barley We'll forget the sun in his jealous sky As we lie in fields of gold See the west wind move like a lover so Upon the fields of barley Feel her body rise when you kiss her mouth Among the fields of gold
  8. Well, that clinches it. McDermott is 100% validated, now beyond question. He "tricked" the Super Bowl winners into getting the speedy wide receiver they wanted, (the fact that the Bills were in dire need of one notwithstanding), and now said receiver appears to have a seemingly minor injury. Thanks McD!!! At least we have a new safety and a 6'2" Defensive Tackle who will "lead the team." What would we do without you Coach?
  9. Shaking in the garden, the fear within you grows, Here there may be roses, to punch you in the nose. Put my arms around you, love you til you cry, Wrap you in your sweet perfume and squeeze you 'til you die. When push comes to shove, you're afraid of love. RIP Robert Hunter
  10. I spent a little time on the mountain Spent a little time on the hill Things went down, we don't understand But I think in time we will Now, I don't know but I was told In the heat of the sun a man died of cold Keep on coming or stand and wait With the sun so dark and the hour so late
  11. I've called you so many times today And I guess it's all true what your girlfriends say That you don't ever want to see me again And your brother's gonna kill me, and he's six feet ten I guess you'd call it cowardice But I'm not prepared to go on like this I can't, I can't, I can't stand losing I can't, I can't, I can't stand losing I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't stand losing you I can't stand losing you I can't stand losing you I can't stand losing you
  12. I'm going to run with: Marcus Spriggs - Guard James Hardy- Wide Receiver They would add depth to the offensive line and fill in the void at WR.
  13. Wouldn't it be nice if we could wake up In the morning when the day is new? After having spent the day together Hold each other close the whole night through But happy times together we've been spending I wish that every kiss was never-ending Oh, wouldn't it be nice?
  14. I can't argue with the changes for player safety but I did enjoy the "old days" more. There was less of a need for a superstar QB and more of a need for great lines. The Steelers, Raiders, and Cowboys stayed great for SO long due prinarily to their outstanding line play. Jmo.
