  1. The "Mafia" that we heard of in the past has been considerably weakened. The feds nail them with the RICO Act, they face huge sentences, rat each other out, and do pod casts. If (or most likely when) an NFL game is fixed, it will be fixed by people MUCH more powerful than what is left of the Mafia. The best way to make money betting NFL football would be to find out which home games Taylor Swift will be attending (which I doubt is possible) and bet on the Chiefs. The NFL has the male audience sewed up. Now the NFL wants to make further inroads with women in order for the sponsors to make more money and pay more for advertisements. To think that no outcome of any NFL games were ever influenced by the presence of Taylor Swift would be naive imo. We are talking about billions of dollars here, not seven million. And btw I have nothing at all against Taylor Swift. Blast away but this is jmo.
  2. Found someone who can comfort me, but there are always exceptions And she's good at appearing sane, but I just want you to know She's the one makes me feel so good when everything is against me Picks me up when I'm feeling down, so I've got something to show Staring at empty pages, centered 'round the same plot Staring at empty pages, flowing along in the ages
  3. I want you to want me I need you so badly I can't think of anything but you And I think I'm going out of my head (Out of my head) 'Cause I can't explain the tears I shed (No, out of my head) Over you Over you
  4. He still has a job because most Bills Fans (and probably the Pegulas) think that Beane is the only one responsible for the Bills idiotic drafts. McDermott gave Mahomes to KC. Beane wasn't here. McDermott wanted a cornerback more than he wanted Mahomes, this on a team with three qbs that sucked. To this very day McDermott focuses on DTs and corners on a team with Josh Freaking Allen. McDermott was handed the keys to the car when he walked in the door. In essence, he hired Beane. How many people on this board hired your boss? How many did not? I predict that Beane will be fired before McDermott, and McDermott will still have the upper hand until Mr. Pegula awakens from his McDermott loving trance.
  5. "Son," she said, "have I got a little story for you What you thought was your daddy was nothing but a While you were sitting home alone at age thirteen Your real daddy was dying Sorry you didn't see him, but I'm glad we talked" Oh, I, oh I'm still alive Hey, I, oh I'm still alive Hey, I, oh I'm still alive
  6. Please Max, come back and come back strong. The thing is if you don't, when May/2026 rolls around McDermott will clap his way into another first round corner tp play in his zone defense. He might do this either way, but please do come back and at least lower the odds.
  7. My daughter had surgery for thyroid cancer. Since then she has been scanned and has taken multiple blood tests, which all came back perfect. I'm taking her to lunch today. My thanks go to God for hearing and responding to the thousands of prayers that went up for my amazing honey.
  8. When I think of all the worries That people seem to find And how they're in a hurry To complicate their minds By chasing after money And dreams that can't come true I'm glad that we are different We've better things to do May others plan their future I'm busy loving you One, two, three, four Sha-la-la-la-la-la, live for today (Hey, hey, hey) Sha-la-la-la-la-la, live for today And don't worry 'bout tomorrow, hey Sha-la-la-la-la-la, live for today Live for today
  9. Great point about the OL. Dion Dawkins is excellent. He will also be 32 before next season. He is listed at 320 lbs. but he looks heavier to me. My point? The Bills should always be going after OL depth and talent in the draft, along with of course wide receivers. Why? Because Josh Allen is our quarterback. McDermott wants to build around cornerbacks and DTs. This has been his signature from day one. The season is not over. The Bills can come back. That said, the Atlanta game was as bad as I have seen them play in a very long time. Would McBeane trade a first round pick for Waddle (who is rumored to be available)? I don't know. They might need that pick for another corner.
  10. I don't know how many of you have seen this kid play but he has been absolutely great for the Crimson Tide at QB thus far. In his first season as a starter, he has defeated Georgia (on the road), Vanderbilt (who is suddenly a good team) and Missouri (on the road) who used to be, and no longer is an SEC pushover team. This kid is very smart, has a very good arm, great poise and accuracy, and he can both scramble and run. Alabama has a brutal schedule this season. The still have to play Tennessee, LSU, Oklahoma, and Auburn. If Ty continues at this pace they have a chance to win every game. Of course this will not be easy, if at all possible. I think that if the kid does continue at his present pace, he should be in the running for the Heisman Trophy. He (imo) is THAT good. ROLL TIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  11. I must admit that coming into the season I thought that they were imposters. The truth is that they are very good. The QB looks to be special.
  12. Point taken, in that if Josh hated McDermott he probably would have left town. That said, I was always under the impression that contracts like the one Josh received are mostly worked on by GMs, accountants, and player agents. I don't really know how involved coaches get.
  13. I told you about the fool on the hill I tell you man he living there still Well here's another place you can be Listen to me Fixing a hole in the ocean Trying to make a dove-tail joint, yeah Looking through a glass onion
  14. @Virgil, your post would seem to absolve McDermott of any responsibility. Do you think that McDermott sat there like a trained puppy and said "yes sir" to anything Beane wanted to do? McDermott was here before Beane and had control over the draft. You remember, the one in which he gave Mahomes to KC and drafted a cornerback. Imo, there is absolutely NO WAY that McDermott does not have at least an equal say. In fact, if one had to go I would rather see McDermott gone than Beane. If nothing else, Beane was able to keep Josh in Buffalo. I don't even want to think about this Bills team without Josh.
