I think that we need turnovers from their so-so at best QB and a substantial number of yards on the ground. The last thing I want to see is Anderson and company teeing off on Josh.

Willis played RT at Alabama. As a freshman he played at Guard as I recall. He was good but I thought he was drafted early.

For most teams I would take Crosby but not for the Bills. We have Josh Allen and we will win primarily by providing him with weapons and protection. These should have always been our top priorities.

John Schobel. He is a freshman and he had 3 tackles and 1 sack. He is built just like just dad, who I think is one of the most underrated Bills I ever watched. For a while he was our only pass rush threat and he was still productive.

My guess is that the above post is at least partially tongue in cheek. i don't HATE them. My contention is that they have been overvalued by some teams. They certainly mean more than they did years ago. When we think of the Championship Cowboys and Steelers, the DLs were far more important in those day, and even the LBs played a bigger role imo. Today, I continue to think that pass rush is easily the most important part of a defense. Do you agree? Wrt Alabama corners, you and I both rated Terrion Arnold higher that McKinstrry and I think we were both correct. Who knew that the kid would get involved with craziness? As far as Surtain, it was obvious that he was very good, but you correctly rated him higher than I did. Btw, keep an eye on the entire Alabama secondary this season. Seriously, they will be one of the very best in the NCAA, and if they are healthy I have zero doubt about this.

I didn't like the trade at all at the time. We had an obviously mediocre at best QB and OL, and it cost us a 1st and a 4th in 2015 to move up 5 spots. I will however admit that looking back at the 2015 draft, it was not a good class at all. I am assuming that Whaley knew this, even though iirc, he was prone to making numerous draft day trades (which can be good or bad). Whaley is obviously a very smart man but it is somewhat telling that he did not get another job as an NFL GM. As always, jmo.
