  1. For years, I use to put it on my dishes in Thai restaurants without bothering to look at its name. Recently, a friend said 'that is Sriracha sauce'. Bought a big bottle (damn its cheap) and love it. Haven't tried it on pizza and eggs but makes bland noodles and stir-fry very tasty.
  2. Ya don't mean this Duke, do you ?
  3. Update please ... Hope all went well.
  4. You get an A for such posts ! Thanx and keep them coming. I am a movie buff too but not nearly to the extent you are (and I mean that in a good way).
  5. If memory serves me right, Bruce would complain but still play his heart out.
  6. And that point, you can bet Peters would have been pouting yet again.
  7. I have gotten over the 'which team got the better end of the deal' thought process. A relevant discussion is that - did the Bills make the right choice given the options they had. The situation was that Peters played 'unhappily' last year and would likely do the same without a new contract. So if they wanted him to play well in 2009, they would have to pony up a lot of money. So, the ultimate decision was - do we spend over $11M per year for one player (who may likely become unhappy again in 2 years) or to get the best deal we can get for him. Doing the latter would allow allocation of those funds to more players and possibly build up an OL of personnel who may not blossom in 2009 (i.e. if a rookie) but set ourselves up for a good run after 2010. Given the situation as I understand it, the Bills made the right call. I would have preferred that Peters stay a Bill but not for the money he required or the drama/distraction that came with him.
  8. That was very very funny. Sorta sad too...
  9. I think they will take a DE or DT with the first pick and go OL with their second first rounder. Much as I would like to have a TE, it will be a luxury pick in this year of dire line need. If we get Henderson, I am not sure what we will do with our first pick. Trading down and getting yet another first day pick would be nice in that situation.
  10. While I agree voice delivery are important, I cannot see the facial expressions & screen on-goings with the same intensity if I am reading the sub-titles. This was a problem when I saw 'Tell No One' and would have appreciated an English track. I think the dubbing was quite good for Let the Right One In.
  11. No need to apologize for your viewpoint if you have valid reasons to stick by them. If these viewpoints 'developed' due to any alcohol consumption and you now think otherwise, then perhaps an apology is in order. I think it is more relevant to apologize for your actions. Call him up, say you are sorry and invite them over soon to kiss (his wife*) and make-up. * sorry couldn't avoid.
  12. Come out ? It was released in the theaters a while back and is now out on DVD, Blu Ray and Netflix streaming. And yes, it did not 'do well' commercially but that has nothing to do with the quality of the movie. Speaks more about the quality of the audience. The movie is dubbed. By the way, another good import is Tell No One
  13. I whole heartedly second the recommendation. Unbelievably good movie. No sub-titles needed - it was dubbed in English very well. {Spoiler likely} ajzepp, I took away that the relationship between the two ends up being a symbiotic one rather than a love story. Oskar takes the place of her old caretaker. It is really quite beautiful - both need each other for different reasons. I think far too many have confused the relationship to be a romantic one. What do you think ?
  14. Looks like a strategic move to counter-act Chavez.
  15. Methinks McCargo is still here cos we are waiting to see who we manage to acquire in FA/draft.
  16. Whether he is a candidate for Canton is not the subject here and I am not making anything remotely close to that assertion. What I do think is that he is a gutsy player who has played at or above his level of God-given skills. And yes, I think he would have done very well if given a chance at some designed end-arounds.
  17. If memory serves me correctly JR was a RB in college wasn't he ? I have always wondered why we haven't used him on end-around plays a lot when he could do major damage.
  18. A lot. But, not half as I will be if the season starts with our current roster talent.
  19. Personally responsible for what ? The outcome of the poll ? Wouldn't be much of a poll then, would it ? Am I missing some sarcasm here ?
  20. I think RR is reporting on the results of a poll and not stating his personal opinion.
  21. Good for Greer. I liked him when he played for the Bills - played well without drama. Early this off-season, I was wondering if we shouldn't sign Greer and trade McGee.
  22. Whether you agree with TG or not, there is no reason to insult him in your post. Titling the post with an 'F' is not a proper way to indulge in any conversation. Look at NY Nole's post - he also disagrees but has stated his point in a civil manner. On to some of your points - Lynch's punishment should be based on his crime and not on his background. Secondly, you are stating your opinion about which is a bigger crime - beating your girlfriend or a hit-and-run/gun possession. That is your judgment only and nothing else. How is that a supporting statement to your condemnation of TG ?
  23. While true that the selection is not strong, it is a big step in the right direction. I have the Samsung BDP-2500 Blu ray player and it has Netflix streaming built-in. It works very very well. As soon as I saw these devices start hitting the market (Roku, 1 BD player by LG, 2 or 3 by Samsung), I could see that Blockbuster is toast. Netflix got a jump on the technology and started tying up the device manufacturers. Soon they will have critical mass which will make it very very difficult for a competitor to break into. They are executing their technology strategy to perfection (lock up complementary assets, have a reliable technology etc.) The only gripe I have now is the one that Fez mentions - prices for Netflix have been climbing rapidly but are still very low compared to OnDemand.
  24. Bill, the lack of attention to the lines is one area where I completely agree with you. The current starters and lack of depth really really scares me. I will give the benefit of doubt to Hangartner and expect him to be more than adequate as C. But given that we made no other moves to shore up the OL gives me cause for immense concern. Can we really trust rookie(s) to protect Trent and open holes for Lynch/Jackson ? I don't think so. This is the reason that, even though I like Stroud, I am not entirely pleased at his new contract - it is money we did not have to spend this year. We could have utilized it to re-do Peters and/or get another O lineman. Good post.
