  1. Again, the questions you pose are not part of the original post so I will refrain from answering.
  2. The issue is not discounting other people's views. The issue is bringing up JP when the topic was purely about individual expectations from TE. Bringing up JP in a round about way circumvents a basic subject which is not logically open for an expansion in that direction. The OP is no way opened the door for Trent's brilliance or suckiness so why even bother to go in that direction. Doing so implicitly speaks to a few who are obsessed with JP in one way or the other. Calling that out is correct. We all realize that JP is done as starter and that topic is passe. Please let it go. Let us have a clean thread when discussing TE who is now the Bills starter.
  3. I will take those numbers as a stretch goal for TE in his second year. I also want to see improvement in his play under poor weather conditions (gloves or not).
  4. Nice ! One of the most over-rated and incorrectly labelled ("rock") acts.
  5. Oh, I am sure you will do great choosing that top five pick every year.
  6. Good work DoD and thanx for the info. And, you don't have to qualify your opinion with so many disclaimers (as long as you don't call yourself the Expert )
  7. IMO, we should only worry about conserving natural resources - both fuel and ecological. The rest will take care of itself.
  8. Welcome. Take at least some things seriously and most importantly, be humble. You will do fine and enjoy being part of this community.
  9. One - hidden during work hours, exposed during play.
  10. Just read this thread. Good choice. I also had it going with a nympho-psycho and it was just not worth the trouble. Another aspect is that if you are so bangable as your latest escapade proves, you do not need this woman. If you were a 40-yr old virgin, it may have been worth it. Finally, how do you know her ta-ta's are natural ? My ex's were not and they felt close to the real thing. Cosmetic surgery has come a long way - a little picker upper will never be recognized by un-trained hands.
  11. Nice bait but I won't bite this time. Meanwhile I will set my sights on the draft.
  12. Thanx. I didn't know that. Oh well we have another 4th rounder which should still be worth the trade IMO.
  13. I wouldn't mind if we threw in our compensatory 4th round pick also. So we will have two 1st rounders and one each in Rd 2-4. That should help stockpile the talent. Depends who we want and don't want in Rd 1.
  14. If we indeed think no offensive weapon of value is available at #11, we trade down. What are we going to do with a dominant LB corps if the offense does not have weapons to score ? Do we then trust this D to forever give us the ball near the 30 yard line so Lindell can keep booting FGs ? I know I am being overly factious but I cannot fathom how we can go into this season without 1st round upgrade in the WR or TE department. For those that say said WR may not contribute this season, we will be stuck in the same position next off-season also.
  15. I saw this article and didn't want to start a new thread. FWIW... http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/7327393.stm I wish the scientists would make up their minds so I can decide if my next mode of transportation should be a Hummer or a bicycle.
  16. I don't know about Rivers as a player but arguably, the LB corps is the most stocked group on the team. I rather we trade down than take the best player available for a position of least need.
  17. Depends on your region so you have to look around. With the way you have handled your finances, you will get the best possible rate. Most adjustable rates are currently higher than the 30-yr fixed rates so you may choose to go the 30-yr way. As plenzmd1 said, be aware of total fees required to close. In the past, I have found that lending banks have good loan officers so you may not necessarily have to go to a mortgage broker. The banks are more upfront with their total closing cost estimates. My suggestion is to call 3-4 banks and 1-2 mortgage brokers. This can be done over the phone so the only downside is a sore ear.
  18. Disagree on that one. Fairchild is yet another example of the Peter Principle
  19. The only part I disagree with is the chance of winning back the starting job. I think Jauron & the coaches have made up their minds that TE is their starter come opening day. Agree with the other part as answers to Gordio's question. Plus, if he goes somewhere else to be a backup he will be at risk in being let go next year setting himself up to being a journeyman. Big payday next year or not, he most likely thinks that if he is to step in for any length of time, his best chance to showcase his talent is in Buffalo due to, as you said, familiarity with the system but also with the players and their strengths/weaknesses.
  20. Why would any team want to trade for a player who will be unhappy to be a backup ? If a deal happens, it has to be a win-win for all parties concerned - the Bills, the new team and JP. This year, I am sure JP would rather be a backup in Buffalo than on any other team.
  21. Yep. In other words, big government getting bigger. Goes against free market theory.
