Agree. I have seen some arguments that he is a veteran and doesn't need to be there. But I think it is a matter of focus and team chemistry. Maybe he is just getting long in the tooth, but if he practiced with the team all week, he would have given people one less reason to call him out.

Fair points all but especially the bolded one. I don't think the Bills have done much consistently enough to look past ANY opponent. Given the momentum things others have pointed out, the pressure will be more on the Bills to win it considering it is a home game. We have one elite tackle and one potential star. This week will tell a lot about how good they really are. Wake and co. will get pressure, what matters is how the Bills handle it. Hope the game unfolds as it did vrsus the Bears - close one with the Bills winning in the end. I am predicting a 27-23 Bills win.

Much will depend on how the OL and EJ handle pressure. This will be a different week and I doubt EJ has the type of clean pocket he so enjoyed against the Bears. On O, the game plan needs to be different from the one against the Bears. Continue huddling, long drives will help wear down their pass rush. This would be a great week to perfect the screen.

I don't know if I should be happy that Wilbon is ragging on Cutler or be mad at the basic premise of the article. The angle is that the Bills are a lowly team, a doormat of the NFL - how dare you lose to a team such as the Bills ? While much of that belief and image is true due to the recent history, a reporter and writer needs to tone down the rhetoric particularly in the beginning of the season when teams are sometimes quite different from those in the previous seasons.

Going much from memory here - but during both their Superbowl years, Eli came alive after December and through the victories. He is a pretty average QB otherwise. Weird thing is that Peyton is always considered the better QB but comes up small after the regular season is done. PM will own the records but Eli still has one more ring.

1st series by Carson Palmer was quite under whelming. Terrible couple of passes to end that series.

Welcome ! That is classy on your part. I watched the game with a Bears fan and he was quite disgusted with the lack of execution. IMHO, the Bears need to win inspite of Cutler. Re-build the D, draft another good RB (as good as Forte is, he cannot go on forever and he can use someone to spell him). It was just one game but a much needed one for the Bills. Tough road game coming up for you guys - good luck.

I am not a mod, but my guess is that for now, he is just a nuisance and an annoyance. And an ill informed one at that. He hasn't done anything ban-worthy yet (such as using expletives, crusading and the like)

Big early test for Henderson for sure. He did pretty much neutralize JPP in the GIants pre-season game. Wake is better so will take a lot to keep him away from EJ. I think the OC will start by getting more help on Wake's side then see how Henderson is holding up (pun not intended). Henderson needs to be disciplined (no penalties) and not fall for stunts

It should have never started. Much like the no huddle tried a few years back with TEdwards, this was not a good idea. Last year, with a rookie QB, an unproven O-Line, the no huddle was too premature.

Is there an option to archive posts from say 5 years back ? I am not sure we need to refer to those older posts. I am not an IT guy, so probably don't understand why post count is related to activeness of the posts. But, I don't care about my post count but if most people like it, there should be a field under that person's profile where you could freeze the post counts till the date of the archive. So, if say, you archived all posts before Sept 5, 2009 then freeze the post count till that date with the new counter starting on 9/6/2009.
