Whatever the fallout is of this discord better happen as soon as possible. The last thing I want is for things to boil over during the regular season. As bad as it looks right now, some 1.5 weeks away from the season opener, it will be a lot worse if there are coaching or major player changes after the season begins. To Whaley and Marrone - solve your issues, do something about it now or agree to a Gaza-style peace and wait till next offseason to sort things out.

Turmoil brewing between Marrone and Whaley?
Fan in Chicago replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What is clearly not speculation is that there are issues which Whaley and Marrone had a loud discussion about in public. I fully expect organizations to have disagreements between personnel but in private, behind closed doors. Something smells and its not a bouquet of roses. -
"This has been debated add nausea since last year"

Turmoil brewing between Marrone and Whaley?

Wasnt there also a reported flare up between the two during half time of the Bucs game ? -
Bills Release Thad Lewis
Fan in Chicago replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
While I agree that Nix and then Whaley have whiffed at filling the most important role in football. HOwever, I am not on board with the 'draft one every year' philosophy. I lean more towards, get a vet and a rookie so you are covered on the down side but have potential on the up side. I am sure you meant Jordan and not Carson. Curious isn't it ? I too am wondering what happened. But I cant believe the Bills are done. There must be a plan to get a vet or something. Right ? Well I hope so anyway -
Bills Release Thad Lewis

Wow. That was fast after the Palmer signing. They must have really disliked Lewis' offseason or seen something in Palmer that is worth at least a #3 spot. -

Yes there was. Just not in the way people know it now. -
Goodwin's tweet about fans booing

I haven't seen you make personal attacks. I don't see why anyone else should resort to those means, especially when it is unprovoked. -
Goodwin's tweet about fans booing
Fan in Chicago replied to Kevin's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't see how he was disrespectful and stated his point of view. I don't see where he made any personal attacks so still do not see why you think it was justified for you to do it. What you do with your life and your time is of little concern to me. I do value decorum on this board and am attempting to tell you where you erred. I refuse to get down to the belligerent tone you are striking. I am sure NoSaint is perfectly capable of defending himself, but am stepping in to support him as I would a few others around here. -
Goodwin's tweet about fans booing

You could have debated with him or disagreed with his points without stooping to this level. Especially with someone as respected as NoSaint. -
Sign him for a few weeks, pick his brain on the Pats* offense, then cut him

Marrone open to bringing in another viable QB.
Fan in Chicago replied to ChanOverChin's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Your words were "Orton is retiring (I have no idea why he keeps being mentioned)". My post was specifically to say that there are no reports post-Cowboys that say he is retiring. -

Fan in Chicago replied to ChanOverChin's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Because the mention of him retiring was prior to the Cowboys releasing him. After his release, I believe Jerry Jones said he didnt think Orton is retiring. And after him becoming a FA, there have been no reports of him wanting to retire. Do you have a link to prove me otherwise ? -
Bills Release Alan Branch After DWI Arrest
Fan in Chicago replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Perhaps my words came out unclear. I wasn't advocating that Branch be kept. But in your list, beside the obvious two, IMHO only Charles is somewhat proven. Cohen has done well just in this preseason. -
Goodwin's tweet about fans booing
Fan in Chicago replied to Kevin's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not sure the fans were booing any one particular player. The entire first half performance was worthy of scorn coming on the heels of an underwhelming off season and addition of a lot of overall talent. If said talent doesn't show up in the team's performance on the field, then something stinks -

I agree he needs to go. Now we are running a tad thin on the DT depth chart. -
Very depressing first half to follow up with a very lackluster pre season.

You do make a fair point. Perhaps what I should have stated and didnt was that (1) Stevie may not be comfortable as a role player (2) His salary is too high for that position on the team I have SJ's autograph and believe he really worked hard to where he is today. But his position in the WR corps grew fast at the Bills due to their serious shortage of talent. With most teams, he would be a #3 at best.
-
Not directly but if our #1 WR last year is fighting for a #3 spot, it is pretty damning "There are questions in San Francisco whether Johnson has even locked up the No. 3 receiver job. Asked about Johnson's role Thursday, offensive coordinator Greg Roman simply said the team "doesn't put numbers on them."" I am not sure it is that obvious. How effective is a WR who runs his own routes and doesnt give the QB a sense of security regarding where is going and where he will be when the ball arrives ? Stevie may be able to juke CBs but he jukes QBs too. If Hogan gets playing time, I would like to see his route running, his hands and how he fights for the ball. I have seen enough of SJ to know that he cannot be the center of an offense. Role player at best.

Dont change the argument. Your words were, and I quote ,The point you missed is that fans of those teams are pretty happy with their QB's--no need for them to indulge in piling on a rookie QB in order to feel better about their own QB situation...." You implied fans of other teams do not care to beat up on JM cos they are secure with their QB situation. Both the Doc and I pointed out two threads on a Patriots* message board which did exactly that. You take every opportunity to belittle Bills fans who point out mistakes or deficiencies in players from other trams. Your line is that because the Bills have sucked the past 14 years, the fans should not comment /laugh at other teams' mistakes. In this case, you were called out and now are attempting to go in a tangent .

And yet, there is this thread on the PatsFan website: http://www.patsfans....-idiot.1110749/ EDIT: In addition to Doc's link above. Thats two threads on your Pats message board

Are you saying it is acceptable for an NFL player to flip the middle finger ? I think it is not. When a player is evaluated to be 'NFL ready', it is not just for his football prowess. It is combination of several factors and especially at the QB position. JM came into the league with great expectations but so did Luck, RGIII and the like. He is not dealing with some unique situation that somehow excuses himself from such immature behavior.
