  1. You and me both. Which is why I had been skeptical of every Bills QB after that and it took me a while to accept that JA is actually very very good
  2. We cannot, absolutely cannot underestimate how much of the offense is dependent on Allen and Diggs. I am (again) postulating that both are dinged up. Allen's shoulder and finger injuries are causing the inaccuracies. His comment on the "ball not feeling right" points to this as well. To compound the issue, we don't have quality WR depth behind Diggs. Hence, Brady had reduced Diggs snaps and emphasized the run game to take pressure off of them. This will also allow them to last the full season and post season (when, not should, we get there) In the meantime, the D is incredible and has picked up the Offense's slack. More than any other season under McD, we are playing the best type of complementary football. Running on fumes, my a$$
  3. That ingredient works because of the other one - Hill. Dolphins will pay him and be happy about it. My concern last year (for Tua the person) was that he doesn't do a good job protecting his falls. But this season, he has indeed done that. If he continues to be healthy, he will be in the top-10 every season. But they really need to keep Hill else it falls apart (even with Waddle on the team).
  4. I hear that the upcoming draft is WR -rich. That may dampen the value of such second tier WRs ahead of the draft. I will be very surprised if any team gives Davis #1WR money like Peerless Price got many moons ago
  5. There is always "Josh doesnt take the easy throws" to fall back on 😃
  6. We should strive for better and there may be some castaway primary starter that becomes available. Maybe he is only looking for a 1-year deal like Trubisky did but thats fine. I also like the idea of drafting one in Round 4+.
  7. "making that up" implies I am stating that as a fact. I am not. I said "leads me to believe" which means i see his history and cannot believe that he suddenly declined mid-season. Also, you dont know for sure that he is not injured. McD is not going to state that and tip the upcoming opposition. We will know for sure in the offseason.
  8. You don't have to dig back. I have already backed off on my initial suggestion to ask him for a paycut. So, there isnt anything for you and I to argue about.
  9. Reminder - this thread is about capable backup QBs First time I am vehemently disagreeing with you. Trubisky is terrible and wont get us anywhere near a 0.5 record if JA is out.
  10. The game which decidedly confirmed that Drew Bledsoe sucked? 2004
  11. That is correct. I was studying in UB at the time and we listened to the game while sitting in a cheap breakfast cafe in Amherst ($1.65 bought us 2 eggs, toast, one piece of bacon and coffee). We were going to leave, but the comeback started and we kept drinking their coffee till the game ended.
  12. Your response is going in multiple directions so let comment: - Injury: Looking at his performance before and after end-October leads me to believe he is nursing and playing through an injury. A person of his skills doesnt lose it seemingly overnight. He has been our best receiver prior to it, has good hands, makes tough catches and gets adequate separation. - Yes, he may not be a top 5 receiver in the league but he fits the Bills offense. Our goal should be to spread the ball around and if he is consistently delivering 1000+ yard seasons, I want to stick with him till his skills really decline. - Agreed that Beane has not handled the draft well when it comes to WRs I know you like Davis but let the recent performance by Diggs not cloud your judgment. Diggs has been by far the more consistent player for the Bills prior to October See my response to WEO and to BADOL - i Understand it is weak case to ask for a paycut but it depends on the extent to which injury has affected his play lately. And, I certainly do not want to cut or trade him.
  13. Fair point. Ithink the cut could discussed as Diggs will be, what 31 next season? But yea, I agree it will be a tough discussion
  14. We need a WR and Kincaid, while having an important part in the offense, cannot be a substitute
  15. What gives us fans a near-cardiac incident every game is pure entertainment to others. A reality show with no knowledge of the outcome and a very compelling protagonist. Whats not to like?
  16. An absolute classic. @Scott7975 this was the thread I was referring to but didnt remember the title to dig it up. Thanks @sullim4
  17. It would be highly optimistic to think that a rookie WR will immediately rise to #1 , not to mention an unfair expectation of him. The way I see this playing out: - Davis leaves - WR is picked in top 2 rounds with the intent of becoming # 1 - Diggs* transitions to #2 role and stays with the Bills - Harty and Sherfield are gone - Shakir is expected to be #3 and will solidify his spot there - A 30 something WR is picked up to be the #4 *I think his decline in production is due to injury and not due to him suddenly hitting a wall. He has very reliable hands and will be a good mentor for a rookie. However, the unknown factor is if Beane asks him to take a paycut - will Diggs agree or pout and leave?
  18. I am knowingly falling for crayonz's bait but will take it anyway. I just wish at least one of those results dont happen so that this conversation can die a natural death. In any case, it has a limited shelf life
  19. I understand the concerns of the OP. Kincaid hasn't impacted a game significantly, his depth of target is pretty low and total catches are meh. Before the season, I had hoped for 70 catches/700 yards/7 TDs but ofcourse I was way off target (heh). Over the past two games, a few of his drops were due to inaccuracy by JA so he hasn't suddenly forgotten to catch the football. The kid has good hands. Too early to be disappointed or unhappy about the pick as he is just a rookie. I hope season 2 is much better and justifies the investment made (1st round with trade up)
  20. I believe a few days back, McD shut down any possibility of Milano returning this season. Very very happy to see Daquan back.
