  1. Wait a minute....I thought Trent was better than Slingin' Sammy Baugh?
  2. BEST DESCRIPTION OF A RAIDERS FAN EVER! From Gerry Callahan of the Boston Herald. link
  3. SF Chronicle: Raiders Runners Need a Bounce Justin Fargas and Darren McFadden both missed practice yesterday. Fargas suffered a groin strain Sunday against the Chiefs, and McFadden got "turf toe" in the same game. Michael Bush could get significant playing time Sunday in the Raiders' backfield. Edit: sorry. Didn't see the thread on McFadden in a walking boot. Oh well, at least the Raider trolls get to read this again.
  4. Haven't the Orange fans suffered enough?
  5. Do you think that if the Chiefs played the Rams then Missouri would disappear into a black hole of suck?
  6. So many things can happen between now and the end of the season, especially injuries to key players. One of the reasons the Patriots were so successful last year (other than bending the rules) was that the players had the mindset to take the season one game at a time. I hope the Bills are thinking the same. Looking too far ahead can lead to an embarrassment in a trap game.
  7. BTW The Bills never wore powder blue. The Chargers did. The Bills wore a royal blue.
  8. I hope this is true because if the way he runs the defense is any indication, then Ryan is NOT the answer at head coach for Oakland. He is already in over his head as a defense coordinator.
  9. Someone told me that Del Rio ran off the field at the end of the game without shaking Dick Jauron's hand. Is that true?
  10. I was going to call him a loser, but considering the fact that he is an Altanta Falcon that would be redundant.
  11. Meh....it was ok. I loved walking down Causeway St. after the game and hearing car horns going beep beep beepbeepbeep (Let's Go Buffalo)! Too funny.
  12. I found that post very amusing as I work in Boston and know first hand that they removed any public trash cans in the city years ago so they wouldn't have to pay anyone to empty them. Therefore, the streets are filled with litter, the sidewalks are covered with cigarette butts, and the bums use the subway entrances as their own personal piss pots. Maybe the chowds who have lived her for very long are so used to it they don't notice it, but when I go some place like Toronto it's pretty clear how filthy much of Boston is.
  13. Nice to see so many Bills fans in attendance on the CBS broadcast. Looked like there were a few Jags fans masquerading as teal seats. I thought the coaches did the best they could to rotate players on the defense. In the 4th quarter, when the Jaguars were up 16-10 and got the ball back, I thought, "Uh oh. Is this where the Bills wilt from the heat?" But the defense sacked up big time. The Bills have been known for their good special teams, but I think the defense is becoming the heart and soul of this team. All the offense has to do is limit penalties and turnovers, and they'll have a good chance to win in most games.
  14. I was so pissed at one point that holding wasn't called on the Jags, that I jumped out of my chair and spilled my beer all over the people sitting next to me at the bar. I think Jacksonville benefited from some hometown non-calls.
  15. There's a reason why Frank Sinatra was hot for Ava Gardner. Like my old man used to say, she was quite the dish in her prime. Ava #1 Ava #2 Both photos from the movie, "The Killers" (1946).
  16. Good work guys! http://www.dailygazette.com/news/2008/sep/13/913_schott/ P.S. Ed Furlong is still a douche nozzle of the highest order.
  17. There were people lined up for a block down Causeway St. waiting to get in -- at 11 am! I got there around 11:45 and got one of the last seats left. It was insane.
  18. Thanks for sharing your pictures. I am jealous of everyone that could be there. I'm not going to miss this next year. Terrific photos of Moorman's TD pass!!!!
  19. I heard from one of the backers in SF that the North Star was packed before 10 am Sunday. Need to get there early as it is a small bar, but a great place for Bills fans.
  20. Howie Carr isn't going to lose his job. He's an institution at the Herald and has his own radio show. He's the only one in town that has the nerve to call out the get-a-lifers. If he gets hundreds of nasty comments posted, that means hundreds of hits for their web site.
  21. http://www.bostonherald.com/news/opinion/c...amp;format=text and then there's this
  22. For all we know, it could have nothing to do with his injury. Maybe everyone expects him to be Mr. Macho Super Stud Quarterback, but that's not really who he is. If VY feels like he's trapped into living a lie, that could be depressing the hell out of him.
  23. After seeing those pictures in the off-season, I wonder if the guy is tired of living a lie -- trying to be someone he is not and the stress is getting to him. OTOH, it is silly for me or anyone else to wonder what is going on in his head. The people who are close to him are the ones who called the team when he took off, and I have to believe they know something about this situation that none of us know.
  24. And if this was planned before the season started, I have to believe they felt Indianapolis, a big rival to New England, was a reason there would be interest in this game in the northeast. *barf* FWIW, I can afford Direct TV, but it is not allowed at the building I live in. Alot of people are in a situation where it isn't feasible for reasons like this or finance. So please understand why this would be upsetting to many Bills fans. I am fortunate in that I have the option of seeing the game with the local Bills Backers at a bar.
