Tuesday Morning Quarterback The tastefully named Gregg Easterbrook had 3 gripes about the Bills in his column this week, and I can't argue with any of them. 1. Sour Play of the week: Clements failure to KNOCK THE BALL DOWN rather than going for an interception on the 4th and 14 play with less than 2 minutes left. 2. Calling for a pass play on 3rd and 1 from the 1 yard line. 3. Punting on 4th down at the J'ville 33 instead of going for a field goal.

My 16-year-old niece did the Shirley DePalma Memorial 5K Run/Walk at ECC South in OP Saturday. It was a benefit for the national ovarian cancer coalition. She called me that afternoon and said her group ran with "some guy who used to play with the Bills." She said his name was Joe, but she didn't know how to pronounce his last name. Turns out she ran the 5K next to Joe DeLamielleure! I had to tell her who he was and all about the Electric Company. Damn did I feel old!

BINGO I know I've been harping on this for 4 years, but Donohoe took Marques Sullivan in the 5th round in his first draft with the Bills instead of Mike McMahon, who wold have been a terrific backup QB. Sullivan is a waste. Mike Williams was overrated. I don't care how good McNally is as an O-line coach, you can't make chicken salad out of chicken doo doo.

I agree with Campy. Last year everyone was sky high after the home opener, but things when south in a rather ugly fashion. Once bitten, twice shy. I think we've all heard how McNally was going to fix the O-line, but we haven't seen proof of that yet. (I think better talent would have helped.) And Bills fans are smart enough to know the games are won and lost in the trenches.
