  1. I don't know if another owner would have kept the Bills in Buffalo this long. That said, my respect for Ralph kinda came crashing down this offseason with the handling of Jauron. Respect him for keeping the team in town, but have little respect for how he's handled the team in the last decade. Problem is, if we keep filling the seats, status quo rules. If you could spend $50 to make $200, or spend $100 to make $200, what would you do?
  2. I watched NFL yearbook of last season on NFL network the other day. Kinda interesting how many nice grabs and returns they showed of him. As much as I like Maxim, err, Roscoe Parrish, maybe it is time to let him just focus on returns.
  3. Didn't think of that one. Problem is, too far up the list. My guess is if Denver wanted him, they would have proposed a trade in the offseason and Billacheat would have certainly hosed them for a good draft pick for a player he planned on giving das boot to.
  4. He was on the sideline down 17-0, talking and laughing with whomever was next to him. It kinda piss3d me off. I know it's stupid, but what the heck dude, take it seriously.
  5. Pioli will nab him in KC.
  6. Actually, my bet will be Jim Haslett. Bring in an old Bill with a head coach track record. Best part (for Ralph) is he would come pretty cheap. For God's sake he's coaching in a semi-pro pro league, couldn't even land a coordinators position. For sure he will come cheap. Easy sell to the fans due to HC experience. Easy sell to Ralph dollar wise. Best of both worlds! I can see it know, a grand reunion!
  7. And?? It's only preseason, so the real offense has not been installed? The defense is running bare bones plays as not to give away too much for the regular season? Sorry, we really need to establish some momentum for the regular season here. Trent needs, or needed, at least one sustained drive. Get into a rhythm and at least toss an out pass, that actually gets to the receiver! Sorry, it's not ONLY preseason. It's practice for the regular season.
  8. That was pretty good, I almost fell asleep reading it.
  9. I know Big Ben is a good, mobile QB, but WTF!! TACKLE HIM!
  10. Can't wait to hear how DJ spins THIS one after the game!
  11. Great, a short pass that went long. Just gives Trent more Fuel to keep tossing the short ball!
  12. Man, the only thing the no huddle is doing is giving the ball back to the opposition quicker.
  13. I wanna party with those guys!
  14. "You'd go to cocktail parties back in those days and they looked at me, `What kind of a dope are you? ... ?" recalled Wilson. "I'd be standing in a corner having a drink by myself." Funny stuff! Good read.
  15. Probably the worst thing I have ever seen! Horrible, stupid, idiots. Just a bunch of overpaid athletes trying to prove anyone cares.
  16. Yeah, but Fuller did not have Walsh as his coach. Not taking away from Montana, but maybe Fuller would have been better under the tutelage of Walsh. As far as I'm concerned Trent's problem is coaching and supporting cast.. If you took TE and put him in Aikmen's place in the early 90's Cowboys and I bet he'd do just about as good. Emmitt, Irvin, the OL, and that coaching staff and Trent would look MUCH better. Toss in a good defense, and a lot of "bust" NFL QB's could flourish in that system.
  17. The will to win is what made all those guys what they were. That is the vast difference between our 90's teams vs. todays. I miss the total team effort.
  18. Against our O-line? If he does it against the Steelers this weekend, then I will be impressed.
  19. Seems somewhat logical with Stupar showing he can play. They did try this a few years back, and if I remember correctly, it didn't work well. I don't think we go with 4 TE's and we keep a true FB. I do find it interesting they are using McIntyre on screen plays and rushing as much as he has in the last two games, usually our FB's don't get real involved in the offense. Are they showcasing him for trade? Doubtful. Showcasing him for after he's cut? Maybe. Getting him involved to see what he can do? Probable.
  20. I was talking in generalities. More from last season, than last night. I know this is a TE thread but yes, I do think Lynch has trouble hitting the hole sometimes. Jackson runs behind the same line and seems to have a better ability to hit the hole.
  21. But Jaws loves him! I do think Trent can be a good, productive QB in this league. Like most other players in the league, you can only be as good as your supporting cast. It's not just TE, it's the O-line looking like swiss cheese, receivers not being in the right spot, RB's who don't hit the hole, DB's consistently playing too deep, ZERO pass rush and most important an inept coaching staff. Give Trent the O-line of the early 90's Cowboys and I'm sure not many fans would have a problem with his play.
  22. Can anyone spare a good coaching staff??
  23. Can Stupar be stashed on the practice squad? Can't believe they'll cut either Shouman or Fine.
