  1. Yes. Especially about heart and strong work ethic. He may end up being the best LT in NFL history, God knows he has the physical tools. The mental tools is up for debate. My gut feeling is he plays well for Philly this year, and within a few years is considered a bust, and the Bills ripped off the Eagles. Enjoy the payday while it lasts Peters....
  2. I just wish Russ had waited till next week to pull the trigger. That way Philly may have given us the earlier 1st rounder. As for next years pick being a 6th rounder (if that is true), that is total rubbish, mine as well not have taken it at all. As for seeing Peters go, fine. I am sick and tired of these millionaire athletes who are under contract not showing up. I understand he was worth more $$ than we were paying him, but show up, do your job under the contract YOU signed. Didn't mind how the OL played without him last year. With TO complimenting Evans this year, maybe that may take some pressure off the OL, who knows. Maybe Bell is the answer, if not Walker did a good job at LT last year. Peters better thank Jim McNally for making him the player he is today. Taking an undrafted TE and converting him to a "pro bowl" LT. http://www.usatoday.com/sports/football/20...094971324_x.htm
  3. First offense, will probably get off with a slap on the wrist. Commish will talk with, and again first offense (that we know of), and he'll be back on the field. Different NFL player, same story...again, and again, and again... Funny thing though. I used to laugh at the Bengals for hiring thugs!
  4. Orton had a 12-6 record as a starter with the Bears, while Grossman went 19-11 as a starter. Don't think Orton is that bad at all. Kinda like his attitude also.
  5. That's the problem with Lynch, he is too choppy of a runner. When he takes those 1 to 2 extra steps when he cuts, he's giving the D a chance to catch up to him. Love Jackson and have no worries with him as the starter.
  6. Actually, I'm not that worried about Lynch's suspension with Jackson being the starter, only concern is the backup to him. I hope he plays really well, and gives the Bills second thoughts on starting Lynch post suspension. To tell you the truth, I'm not really sold on Lynch anyhow. Don't think he hits the hole fast enough, and is too choppy of a runner, not smooth enough. If he could hit the hole on time, and smack the defender like he does, run with more fluidity, no telling how good he can be. When he cuts and takes those 1 to 2 choppy steps, that allows the D some time to recoup and drill him. Don't really care that Jackson is older as long as he plays well. Lynch's style of taking hits will shorten his career anyhow.
  7. Don't know if he's playing the right cards. With some NFL teams laying off people, and others threatening to, now may not be the right time for him to do this. I don't care if he does get fed scoops from his employer or not, I like his easy style and think he has pretty good football sense.
  8. It's exactly what the FO told him last year. Show up, show you are serious and we'll get a deal done. Don't know really what our cap status is, but it seems if the player is willing (TO, Stroud) the Bills will pay. Hope JPeters gets a whiff of this, gets off his FAT LAZY ARSE and gets a deal done.
  9. Too many things point to his not wanting to be here any longer. My guess, Bills trade him by draft day, or day of. Thing I need to know is, why is he so disillusioned? Can't be JUST the money, as he was getting paid pretty well for a FA TE.

  11. Pettigrew - possible trade down Kruger
  12. I heard it's Mark Hamister....although, he needs to find a partner in the deal...
  13. We really don't know if he has spoken with Ralph or not. Maybe he has, and has a handshake agreement with him. Just seems that Kelly keeps talking about how he has the means to pull this off. Hope he's right.
  14. If we sign him for more than the number 1 pick got last year, it is starting a dangerous precedent. From this point forward any above average player will want to do the same thing. Not that I believe draft picks are worth what they are making, but this could be a very dangerous road to venture down. About drafting a mid round LT. The reason we would do that is to get a player that would be at least as good as Peters, or hopefully better. All that does is prolong the big payday at LT. Either pay JPeters now, or his replacement later. Also remember, he wants 11 million now, what the heck does he want in year 3? 15 million?
  15. OK, taking this for what it's worth, and it's probably worth nothing, why wait until draft day? If the Bills were swinging a deal for JPeppers wouldn't they JUST DO IT NOW!?!?!? Yup, the Bills regularly include Thermal in ALL of their personal moves.....
  16. What the heck, does PP have pictures of Greggo carousing with Travis Henry or something??
  17. Endzone - Sorry to pull that story out of you. Didn't expect the reaction it got.

  19. What I think is funny is how we as fans think these players are the nicest guys, but it turns out they may be total jerks. The media plays up their image, and we buy what they are selling us. Not saying Hansen was a jerk or not, but that was kinda lame he didn't stop by with the other players.
  20. He musta skipped the economics classes in college...
  21. Pro bowl LT's don't just grow on trees. I don't care if he made the pro bowl last year after a dubious season or not. Fact is, he is young and one of the best LT's in the game, with huge amounts of potential. What we need is an anchor on the line that will be around for years to come. Don't care what it takes, sign him.
  22. Well, could you enlighten us? Remember, you are the one who felt compelled to write a post telling us he is a jerk.
  23. They are called voluntary for a reason. I would have liked him to show. If he's a no-show for mandatory, then we all can freak out.
  24. I agree. It's all about supply and demand. Hopefully, we can strike and sign one of them before the demand goes up (poor drafting, injuries). Although, if you really want one of them, just go get him.
  25. I wonder if the Bills raised tix prices 25 to 30 bucks each if that would really deter fans. I mean, that would be only $210 bucks extra a year, yielding the Bills something like 2.2 million per game, and 15.4 million per season, of course they would have to split that take with the away teams. Problem is, it really comes down luxury suites, which the home team keeps all the revenue. The Bills are having a difficult time right now keeping up with the Jonses (literally). Imagine what is going to happen in 5 years, then 10 years. Unless the economy in WNY leapfrogs the economic insanity facing the NFL, no way they stay in Buffalo after maybe 5 years.
