I had my own business at the time. I was on the phone with a local supplier, making jokes. The sales guy stopped me and asked if I knew what just happened. I turned on the TV just in time to see the second building fall. I watched for a bit, listened to the reports of more planes that might be hijacked and sped off to my kids daycare to bring them home as we are on the path of landing planes.. I then spent, like many other people, the next few days watching the TV trying to grasp what had happened. Thankfully, I didn't know anyone involved. God bless to all the families of those who were killed or injured in those events.

Maybin will get his chance. As much as his size concerns me, he has been a very pleasant surprise. Kelsay is on his way out, give it a few games.

Don't really watch college ball, but am enjoying this game. cool it's such a tight game.

He has a history, see Flutie and Owens, of spending a few bucks when it's important to the bottom line. He has gone on record many, many times stating he won't move the team, which I believe. Problem is he's almost a century old, so the next owner may move the team. I believe if we don't show up for games, Ralph would pull something out of the hat to put fans in the stands. Hopefully a proven coach.

All this is moot. Until we stop showing up for games, it will be the same old, same old. Hit the Bills organization in the pocket, and then they may hire a coach like Shanny or The Chin. Doubt it though. We'll hire the next "up and comer" and tout him as the savior of the organization. Maybe someone who is a good teacher, or something like that.

He won't sign with us. We obviously need a tackle, everyone in the league knows that. He's just using us for leverage. Unless Ralph overpays him, at least 30% over what another team offers, no way he signs with us.

We won't know until after the first few games, or maybe the entire season to see how good this team is. Maybe they'll surprise us and do well. I just don't see it. My belief is, this team needs a top down overhaul. Everyone goes and bring in a coah/GM, take your pick, who will run it all. Won't happen.

No. Liked how he played last year when JP was holding out the first couple games, but not real happy with his attitude this off season. Paid the guy great money and he complained about moving to LT. It's more that with dumping him, it seems the Bills have thrown in the towel on the season before game one. Either Bell is a huge talent that we haven't seen yet or LW really did that poorly this offseason. Or maybe they are really pulling all the strings they can to make this the best team they can...doubt it though.

Who? Nobody Ralphie will sign. Anyone worth it would want to, no demand to be GM. No way, even with the purge we will see by week 5 and in the post season, that the "Golden Boy" would allow that...GM is his gig. No matter what, until Modrak, Guy and DJ are gone and Golden Boy goes back to selling tickets do we ever win again.

As much as I feel your pain, I don't know how to respond. I just found out about LW and any hope I had for the MNF game is gone. I want to Billieve we'll win. Just don't know.

In a surprise move, Wade, er, Jauron is starting Rob Johnson!

Kinda bummed about Bowen. Liked what he showed in preseason last year. Probably didn't come back from the knee injury as well as hoped. Otherwise, no real surprises.

Ralph has given DJ a last chance. What he does with that chance, is anyone's guess. Most people believe he will tank. What happens if he goes 10-6, playoffs or not? He will not be fired. If he goes 8-8 and makes the playoffs, he will not be fired. I think he will tank, and get fired mid-season. He may be another Kay Stephenson and laid the groundwork for a great team, but he has outlasted his usefulness for the Bills.

These days? Ya never know....

I was thinking about that this morning while listening to WGR and they were bashing "Captain Checkdown". I know Trent missed a few receivers and really didn't toss the long ball the last few games. I place it squarely on the OL, the dude has happy feet because he does not trust them. Don't know if he's getting killed in practice also, but man, he looks scared and is pretty much convinced the longer pass won't be there before he even takes a snap. It's automatic, he gives a quick look past the line, then tosses it to the short receiver. They better figure a way to complete some passes longer than 5 yards, be it slants or whatnot, or this guy is going to the garbage heap quickly. It's going to be a long, long year....

First, Schobel would not have started the last game if he were to be cut. Second, if he's not in the Bills plans, he'd be traded first. He's not going to be cut or traded. My "surprise" cut? Walker. Not this week, but as soon as Bell is healthy. Only a surprise as he was expected to take over the LT position, and did a fairly good job last season when Peters was a no show.

Yep. Hope he only improves with more time. His speed was noticeable, kinda surprising actually. Just hope he can change direction quickly when he gets pushed outside with his speed.
