The Tampa Bay Yuccaneers are dropping the defense named after them. For the life of me I can't understand why we stopped using the 3-4 defense. It only helped get us to multiple Super Bowls. I miss the days of Ted Washington clogging up the middle.
My MOS was 11H, yes I was an infantry grunt. My wife was in the Army and was a helicopter mechanic. My son is in the USAF in Pensacola. Florida weather is oppressive, but the winter months are awesome. We have been here a year and she not been able to ride her bike only 10 times.
I am used to the douche bags that post mean spirited things. They need to get laid or something.
Retired form the Army and got tired of the snow in Maine. Grew up in Pittsford. Moved here and my wife is at school to become a certified a Harley Davidson mechanic. The weather is oppressive at times, but shoveling snow is not an option anymore.
I moved to Florida about a year ago. I was listening to sports radio and they were discussing T.O. and Lynch. The gist was that T.O. maybe a jerk but Lynch is a problem child.
How close are we actually to trading him? Everything I have read says no team is interested. If this is truly the case does he sign with the Bills for a decent salary?
At some point do we draft a qb and a rb? If Beanie Wells fell to us at #11, do we seriously think of taking him? I know we have Lynch but he is not exactly reliable to stay out of trouble in the off season.
Did Stroud have a better season Peters to get a contract extension? Strod did not piss and moan about money, neither did Evans. Peters has the attitude of--I'll show you, I'll hurt me. I am hoping the Stroud extension will force Peters into a reality check.
Has anyone seen him thus far? I have been reading on various sites he may be ready to play on the line. Could his progress be a determining factor in whether or not we keep Peters? It would be awesome to see someone push Peters and make him earn the raise and new contract he thinks he deserves.
Not to be looking for a poor season ahead, but if Jauron gets fired , would Marty be a good coach? I would love to see him in Buffalo. Marty understands Buffalo football. Granted he has never won the big one, but neither did Marv.
Is Kyle Orton better than Trent Edwards? I have to wonder if the Bills front office inquired about Cutler. I think the two first picks and a 3rd round pick is steep.
I guess my point is why are we debating paying someone for not performing to the best of their capabilities. If Peters would have shown up to camp last season and performed well, this would be a non-issue. He acted like a spoiled child--a la Cutler- and wants to be rewarded. Peters has the attitude of--I'll show you, I'll hurt me.
Here are the 6 P's in life:
proper preparation prevents piss poor performance.
Peters is supposed to be a professional. If he acted and played like one, this fiasco would never have occurred.
I understand that Peters IQ is somewhere between a beet and a cabbage, but at some point reality needs to set in. Put him at the bargaining table and have him or his agent justify how he deserves the highest paid salary at his position after the dismal season he had. I would love to be a fly on the wall for that.
Who has more leverage in the Peters fiasco? He is under contract for 2 more years right? He held out last season and performed with a less than stellar season. I don't feel he deserves his contract renegotiated until he performs on par with the upper echelon players at his position. The Bills should play hard ball with him.
I am sure this has been bantered about, but would you trade Trent Edwards and our 1st round pick for Cutler? I bet Evans and Owens would drool over that.
Be kind with your thoughts.
Seeing as KC got Cassel, they don't need him there. Would he look good in Bills uniform or are you happy with the signing of Fitzpatrick? Trade a draft pick for Thigpen instead of drafting one may be a good option.
CBSsportsline has us taking him in the third round. He is HUGE!! He is 6'7" and 365lbs. He would replace Dockery? Imagine him standing next to Langston Walker? Would Edwards be able to see over them?
Is it possible? Both have/had experience at a pro level. Both can throw it through a wall. Wonder if our wr's -are privately-thinking the same thing. Edwards reminds me of Reich. Lots of Patron going on here. The thought of Cutler throwing deep to any of our wr with Lynch running--is a good thing. Offer our first round pick. If Cutler can throw it deep in Denver, he can do the same in Buffalo. We could do worse.
