Was reading on Fox that the Vikes would part with him for a second round pick. I like him in a Bill's unifrom. Once he gets healthy that is. Moulds , Evans, and Daunte could be sweet. Wouldn't JP sh-- himself--lol

As much as I would love to see Thomas in the HOF, it will be a while. How is Art Monk not in the HOF? Ray Guy should be in the HOF. Bettis will be in long before Thomas gets in. I think Kent Hull should get in. One of the best centers.
-
As much as I would like to see Thermal in the Hall, there are many other players that should be in long before he gets a nod. Here are just a few: -Ray Guy-greatest punter of all-time -Art Monk-awesome -Wilbert Montgomery -Harold Carmichael-didn't he set a receiving record? -Kent Hull-one of the best centers of all time -hate to say it but The Bus(#5 all-time) will be in long before Thermal makes it. Anyone know why Monk is not in the HOF? Did he piss someone off?

For every Bible thumping, do-gooder on each team, there is always a problem child or two. This buullshit of Marv only taking high character people is comical. James Lofton was convicted of rape. That's why Green Bay got rid of him. Bruce Smith was always crying about something and constantly in trouble with the law.
-
I am so tired of this buulshit that Marv only will consider high character people. James Lofton got busted for rape. Bruce Smith was always in trouble with the law.

He is a free agent. He is not happy with the Ravens. He had an off year. He had surgery. Yes, he did time but he stood up and took it like a man. He made no excuses. A combo of MacGahee and Lewis would be awesome. It is even do-able.

Should the Bills draft or sign another RB

I would Jamal Lewis of the Ravens. He had an off year. He is a beast. -
I have been reading most of the posts recently and have a few comments. People are asking if JP will be any good and if we should keep Moulds. People we will NEVER be any good until we have an offensive line that can run block. An offensive line that can dictate the game will ensure the qb and wr's will have good seasons. Someone wanted to compare the P-burgh wr's with ours. There is no comparison because the Steelers have an o-line that can block for the rbs-Parker and Bettis- to do their thing. That opens up the passing game. We are a cold weather team. We MUST have an o-line to run block. After that everything will fall into place. Look at Marv's Super Bowl runs. No team has EVER won the Super Bowl without an o-line that can run block effectively. As I keep saying if the Ravens can win a Super Bowl with Trent Dilfer at the qb spot--anyone can win if your o-line can establish the run. It all starts with the o-line.

I am not remembering mentioning anything about drafting Vince Young. Must have been suffering from withdrawal or was it my Wild Turkey night--both could produce episodes of delirious mumbling. Something like homina, homina, homina!!

I now remember why tequila is not something I indulge in too often. I think I did done broke my brain stem or was that my stink bone?

MAS TEQUILA!! Cabo Wabo is the good stuff.

It is my birthday and I have been sampling tequila for quality control and medicinal purposes until my wife gets home. I are 42. That being said, I have been saying for a long time that football is not a complicated game. The team that dominates or controls the line of scrimmage will win the game. If the Ravens can win a Super Bowl with Dilfer and the Giants can win with Hostedtler, anyone can win it all. This up and coming draft we need to address the o-line. We can also alleviate our problems via free agency. I would be happy with a draft that consisted of o-line and d-line personnel only. Think about it. The Pats-I live in Maine and miss the wings and zweigle's dogs-don't exactly have anybody in the secondary that scare anyone. Especially now that Harrison is likely to retire. The Pats RB's are average at best. Their o-lines and d-lines dictate the game. Despite all their injuries they were still a very good team. I will say this--beware the Pats next season. They will be one hungry team and everyone will be healthy. I see Dillon having a monster season and retiring. Until we get serious about the line of scrimmage--we will suck. Does anyone know if Preston can play center at the NFL level? I remember all the hype about Geislinger--has he played at all? Same for MacFarland? Mike Williams and Anderson suck. I see them gone. Teague is not the answer at center. Villarial is getting old. Drafting Roscoe still bamboozles me. I believe TD was free basing Grecian at the time. We had the biggest o-line in the NFL or damned close to it. The o-line should be able to fall forward and an rb should gain positive yardage. I have always thought that Willis was a bad pick. Rb's are a dime a dozen. Remember that Thermal was a later pick. Larry Johnson would have been awesome. Would not be opposed to seeing Jamal Lewis in a Bills uniform. He had an off year--prison will do that for you. When will coaches that we hire understand that Buffalo is a COLD WEATHER team. We must establish the run and the only way to do that is to get an o-line that performs. Would love a o-line scheme like the Steeler's-so would every other team. We did that when Marv was coaching. We had one of the best rb combos in NFL history--Davis and Thermal, not to mention a very unheralded o-line with the ultimtae leader at center-Hull. Why the hell didn't Gates get any reps? The qb for this team should have few responsibilities. Hand the ball off to the left side. Hand the ball off to the right side. Hand the ball off so the rb can go up the middle. Make a correct to open wr be it long or short. Basically we need a qb who will not be asked to win the game, just don't lose it. Look at the Dolphins this year. JP needs to close his pie hole, stop thinking and just play football. Evans looks to be a stud very soon. Will Moulds stay? We have no TE worth a damn. The TE situation will change. Kelly would have been dismal without Metz to dump the ball off to. Defensively we need DT's and a CB to likely replace Clements. Would love to see Clements go the Skins for Arrington. We switch to a 3-4 with the following LB's:Crowell,Spikes,Fletcher,Arrington, and Posey for a rotation. Draft a big and mean NT-Ngata- or sign Ted Washington. Be nice to do both. The d-line would be Kelsay, Schobel, and NT's Can Anderson Or Edwards handle the 3-4? The only time the Bills were a powerhouse on defense was when we played the 3-4. Time fo rmore Cabo Wabo-like I said I am merely test tasting it for quality control and medicinal purposes only. Anyway that is my rant.

I hope that if MM goes to the Fish it doesn't come back to bite us in the ass. We all thought GW was a waste. He now may have the defense in the league. Will MM turn the Fish around? When he was the o-coordinator in P-burgh he won with the qb tandem of Slash and Maddox. Your thoughts?
-
With a new regime being installed, we will find out if JP is the man or a lot of mouth. This up and coming season will be a wash. By the end of next season eithert he will be a QUALITY qb or he won't. Your thoughts
-
Could this be our starting o-line in the near distant future? Center-Preston Guards-Geisinger, Villarial, M. Williams (if not released) Tackles-Peters, Gandy Who is going to want to play behind this line right away? We may have to deal with this o-line for a season to see what happens, unless we can get a free agent to give us immediate results. The NY Giants did this to Eli in his first season. Your thoughts?

We are in for a long haul. We may very well be the worst team in the entire league, regardless of other team records. We need help everywhere. The o-line is in shambles. The defense is putrid. We have no definite qb going into next season. Willis is more show than go. Moulds may have played himself out of Buffalo. Will Takeo be 100%? Our top offensive player is the damn kicker. Just to name a few problems. My question is will Ralph be around long enough to see this thing get turned around? Will Ralph pack up the team and leave? The only way this team is going to be competitive is to basically blow this mess up and start over. We may be have to look at the Dolphins to see how they won 6 in a row to end the season with nothing but second tier qb's to finish a respectable 9-7 for the season. Who will we hire if MM and TD are gone? I should say who would want to come to Buffalo for something other than a paycheck? What free agents are going to come here that are worth watching? The Bills need a high speed coach and GM or one person to do both. The coach and GM to be next season need to convince Ralph to spend money on something other than back up players. This ain't something that is going to be corrected in one season. Brace yourselves things may get worse before they get better. Reality sucks

The last time the Bills were a powerhouse was when we had the oldest coach we could find. Marv was cool. Let's hire Joe Paterno--lolol
-
Might as well face the facts. We have issues. The only way to change/fix this team is by starting over from scratch. We need a new GM and coaching staff. We need these guys to be as tough as Parcells is. Hell, I would be happy to have some of his assistants. Anybody notice the jobs Weis and Bellichek are doing? The GM and coach would have to strip the team down to almost nothing a la an expansion team. Face it not many free agents are going to be thrilled playing here under the current regime and conditions for any amount of money. My point is we are going to be in for a long ,painful period-like seasons- before we even become close to a playoff team. That's my take.

Just a question will MM last through the next season if he has the dismal record as this year? Can't understand why the Bills in succession have hired head coaches without any head coaching experience. I would like to see the Bills hire a college head coach from a quality college program. Would anyone object to having someone like Wisconsin's Barry Alvarez take over the coaching position. His offensive blocking schemes are the same as the Denver Broncos. He understands how football should be played in the frigid northeast. Your thoughts?

I have been reading from various pollsters here that our o-line sucks. I agree, but many are suggesting we need a bigger line. I can guarantee that our o-line is one of the heaviest in the league. When we had our Super Bowl runs we did not have the biggest line in the league. Howard Ballard was the biggest. We had linemen with good technique. It all starts with the center position. Kent Hull was the glue of the line. It is no accident that when he retired our offense began to suffer. Our line is so big that they should be able to collectively fall forward and the rb should be able to gain positive yardage. I would like to see Preston at center. We drafted him as a center, why not use him there. The season is a wash. The best o-line year in and year out belongs to the Denver Broncos. They have the smallest line in the league yet they always have 1000 yard rushers. Yes, they chop block but it is legal. Why can't we get some of our former linemen like Hull or Richter to come in and help out? Could it hurt to ask? The game is won in the trenches. It is not complicated. It is not rocket surgery. Get young o-linemen from the draft and teach good technique. I have always liked the Boston College o-linemen. Every year the school has their linemen drafted and they do well. Just ask the Pats. I am tired of us drafting the biggest behemoth or a someone with versatilitiy. We need linemen who are intelligent and coachable. Your thoughts?

CBS says T.O. is not suspended but is listed as inactive. Hominahominahomiana?!!!
-
I just heard the same thing. What a clusterphuk in Philly? He is listed as inactive.
-
My take on T.O. is very simple. If you look up schmuck in the dictionary, you will find his photo. I am an old time Bills fan. According to reports T.O. got into a "fight " with Hugh Douglas-who is retired. T.O then challenged McNabb? Can you picture T.O. picking a fight with a retired Bill such as Smerlas or Joe D? Can you picture T.O. and Kelly in a fight? Who would win?
-
I stated it a while back. Football is not complicated. You must run the ball 30 plus times a game to open up the passing game. KH threw about 7 passes per quarter, but none of his handoffs to WM were intercepted. WM is the man, give him the rock until he has to crawl for yardage. We have one of the biggest o-lines in the game. The linemen should be able to fall forward and WM should gain positive yardage. Hopefully the coaching staff will finally realize/accept/comprehend that we are a smash mouth running football team.

I have been reading various article regarding LaVarr Arrington. He is healthy and not playing for GW's defense in Washington. Would you take a chance on him? Our lbs aren't getting any younger. How old is Fletcher? How about a lb corp of Arrington, Spikes, Posey, and Fletcher? Not a bad rotation. Hell Arrington is big enough to be a pass rushing DE. I personally prefer the 3-4 defense. I would take a chance on him for anything but a first round pick. Your thoughts?
