  1. I have been reading stuff here for a few years. I have read about how having a "system qb" stinks in the NFL. Umm--why? The Steelers are basically a power running team. So are the RavenLe'Ron McClain is a beast. The Falcons have Turner. Even the stinking Jets were good when Jones was running the ball. Back in our "heyday", we were really a running team with fast wr's and Andre Reed along with Pete Metz being the security blanket. I have said more than once that our offense has been garbage since Pete Metz retired. We are a team with the biggest o-line in football. They should be able to fall forward and any rb should get some positive yardage. Why not run an unbalanced o-line like the Ravens do? We don't need a qb to win the game, we need a qb to manage the game. Keep any qb upright and amazing things can happen. If Trent Dilfer can win a ring anybody can. The key to winning the ring begins with the lines of both sides of the ball. Make every week an open competition for every position. This worked for Parcells and Jim Johnson. I would like to say that I am hanging with my boy, on leave from the USAF. He bought me Patron. Good boy and just think we will have a new administration in about 48 hours. If the only thing we have to snivel about is lack of a successful football, we are all pretty fortunate.
  2. He reminds me of Doug Flutie. He just wins. Heard he would be a late round pick. If avaiable do we take him?
  3. It would be nice for us to revert to a defensive scheme that actually worked at one time. We need major help and upgrades on the defensive line. Why not scrap this mess and go to a 3-4? Are Stroud and Williams capable of playing nose tackle? The defensive ends are a problem now and need to be upgraded anyway. Poz and Kavicka are more than big enough to handle lb responsiblities in this scheme.
  4. After the debacle in the Meadowlands, losing to the Lions would almost seem inevitable.
  5. Does anyone think we could beat them right now?
  6. Is there any doubt now that he is horrible qb?
  7. My wife was watching the game with me. She rarely does that. The fourth quarter came up and she asked why JP is not the starting qb. I told her about JP holding the ball too long and all of his other troubles at his attempt to be a quality qb. No sooner did I say that and all hell broke loose. I am convinced that the only thing worse than being a Bills fan, is being a Cubs fan.
  8. What are the chances that JP has played his last football games in the NFL? Who would seriously want him? I know David Carr is still the league, he sucks.
  9. Hypothetically of course, if he comes out for the draft and is available, do we draft him? He reminds me of Jim Kelly in some aspects. He is a leader and just has that "it" quality about him. The guy just plays hard and finds a way to win.
  10. We had Kent Hull for many seasons and he may have been the best center in the league. He was certainly the best center the Bills have ever had bar none.
  11. Has anyone else drafted more 1st round secondary picks than us? I was looking at various mock drafts, many say we will draft a CB in the 1st round. Say it ain't so.!! Who will slit their wrists first if this happens?
  12. Mike Sherman is coaching Texas A&M. Nolan Cromwell is the defense coordinator. I remember Cromwell being a tough player.
  13. This should have been addressed when we drafted MacGahee instead of Jeff Faine. I still am stunned that Donadouche that to us.
  14. How is that Gilbridt and Mularkey are offensive geniuses in place other than Buffalo?
  15. We need a veteran QB with experience of actually winning games. Someone to mentor Edwards. Don't laugh but Griese would be a nice choice. I don't think drafting a QB in the first is going to happen. We need a center.
  16. heard that Gill might be coaching the Orangemen next year. what do you think?
  17. Could JP become the next Jim Plunkett? Plunkett was a Heisman winner and drafted by the sorry Pats way back when. we all know JP has a cannon for a arm. Does anyone think if JP went to team with a vertical passing game instead whatever we are trying to run, would he succeed? Look at Collins leading the Titans. Guy was dumber than a box of rocks earlier in his career. Perhaps JP just needs a big slab of humble pie and a dose of maturity to get himself jump started. I am not JP loyalist. I just have this feeling that losing JP after the goatf@#k he went through in previous coaches, will come back and bite us. Your thoughts--be gentle
  18. FOX sports is reporting that Jennings may have to retire due to injury. This guy had so much promise. What a shame.
  19. How do you rate Quinn's performance last night? With a full week of practice, how do you think he will stack up against our defense? We lost to the Fish with Pennington and Ginn tearing us up. Is there a reason to be concerned?
  20. Have not posted in a while. Moved to Florida. I don't think we have a bad team, just a very young team. I hate to say it but next year with Trent having a full year of starting experience under his belt, we will know for sure if he is the man. Marshawn is very young as well. this coming off season don't be surprised to see the o-line get serious attention-especially at center. Until then we will have to live the growing pains of a young team.
  21. Would you trade JP to the Lions for a 3rd rounder they just picked up?
  22. We need a center. It is pretty obvious that Fowler is not cutting it. Could Bell with work starting yesterday learn to be a center for next season? Dave
  23. Has Jim Kelly made any comments on Trent Edwards? I am under the impression he was not a JP fan.
  24. At what point do we try to keep him or trade him? If he is gone who do we replace him with?
  25. Peters must be thanking the good Lord the Bills pulled out the win. If the Bills had lost he would have crucified in the local media.
