  1. Is Kyle Orton better than Trent Edwards? I have to wonder if the Bills front office inquired about Cutler. I think the two first picks and a 3rd round pick is steep.
  2. I guess my point is why are we debating paying someone for not performing to the best of their capabilities. If Peters would have shown up to camp last season and performed well, this would be a non-issue. He acted like a spoiled child--a la Cutler- and wants to be rewarded. Peters has the attitude of--I'll show you, I'll hurt me.
  3. Here are the 6 P's in life: proper preparation prevents piss poor performance. Peters is supposed to be a professional. If he acted and played like one, this fiasco would never have occurred.
  4. I understand that Peters IQ is somewhere between a beet and a cabbage, but at some point reality needs to set in. Put him at the bargaining table and have him or his agent justify how he deserves the highest paid salary at his position after the dismal season he had. I would love to be a fly on the wall for that.
  5. Who has more leverage in the Peters fiasco? He is under contract for 2 more years right? He held out last season and performed with a less than stellar season. I don't feel he deserves his contract renegotiated until he performs on par with the upper echelon players at his position. The Bills should play hard ball with him.
  6. I am sure this has been bantered about, but would you trade Trent Edwards and our 1st round pick for Cutler? I bet Evans and Owens would drool over that. Be kind with your thoughts.
  7. Thigpen is already a backup qb. I would rather be a backup to Edwards than I would to Cassell.
  8. Seeing as KC got Cassel, they don't need him there. Would he look good in Bills uniform or are you happy with the signing of Fitzpatrick? Trade a draft pick for Thigpen instead of drafting one may be a good option.
  9. Assuming Lynch will be suspended for 4 games, will he get 1000 yards?
  10. CBSsportsline has us taking him in the third round. He is HUGE!! He is 6'7" and 365lbs. He would replace Dockery? Imagine him standing next to Langston Walker? Would Edwards be able to see over them?
  11. Does anyone nothing about rb Bruce Hall? Is he better than Oman? Can the fb McIntyre run it occassionally? I think Lynch will be gone for 4 games.
  12. Would anyone consider trading Peters for Cutler? We still keep our first round pick. Happy St. Patty's day!!
  13. Is it possible? Both have/had experience at a pro level. Both can throw it through a wall. Wonder if our wr's -are privately-thinking the same thing. Edwards reminds me of Reich. Lots of Patron going on here. The thought of Cutler throwing deep to any of our wr with Lynch running--is a good thing. Offer our first round pick. If Cutler can throw it deep in Denver, he can do the same in Buffalo. We could do worse.
  14. Was reading on CNNSI that he is one of the most sought after free agent at age 36. Did I miss something when he was in Buffalo?
  15. I have been reading stuff here for a few years. I have read about how having a "system qb" stinks in the NFL. Umm--why? The Steelers are basically a power running team. So are the RavenLe'Ron McClain is a beast. The Falcons have Turner. Even the stinking Jets were good when Jones was running the ball. Back in our "heyday", we were really a running team with fast wr's and Andre Reed along with Pete Metz being the security blanket. I have said more than once that our offense has been garbage since Pete Metz retired. We are a team with the biggest o-line in football. They should be able to fall forward and any rb should get some positive yardage. Why not run an unbalanced o-line like the Ravens do? We don't need a qb to win the game, we need a qb to manage the game. Keep any qb upright and amazing things can happen. If Trent Dilfer can win a ring anybody can. The key to winning the ring begins with the lines of both sides of the ball. Make every week an open competition for every position. This worked for Parcells and Jim Johnson. I would like to say that I am hanging with my boy, on leave from the USAF. He bought me Patron. Good boy and just think we will have a new administration in about 48 hours. If the only thing we have to snivel about is lack of a successful football, we are all pretty fortunate.
  16. He reminds me of Doug Flutie. He just wins. Heard he would be a late round pick. If avaiable do we take him?
  17. It would be nice for us to revert to a defensive scheme that actually worked at one time. We need major help and upgrades on the defensive line. Why not scrap this mess and go to a 3-4? Are Stroud and Williams capable of playing nose tackle? The defensive ends are a problem now and need to be upgraded anyway. Poz and Kavicka are more than big enough to handle lb responsiblities in this scheme.
  18. After the debacle in the Meadowlands, losing to the Lions would almost seem inevitable.
  19. Does anyone think we could beat them right now?
  20. Is there any doubt now that he is horrible qb?
  21. My wife was watching the game with me. She rarely does that. The fourth quarter came up and she asked why JP is not the starting qb. I told her about JP holding the ball too long and all of his other troubles at his attempt to be a quality qb. No sooner did I say that and all hell broke loose. I am convinced that the only thing worse than being a Bills fan, is being a Cubs fan.
  22. What are the chances that JP has played his last football games in the NFL? Who would seriously want him? I know David Carr is still the league, he sucks.
  23. Hypothetically of course, if he comes out for the draft and is available, do we draft him? He reminds me of Jim Kelly in some aspects. He is a leader and just has that "it" quality about him. The guy just plays hard and finds a way to win.
  24. We had Kent Hull for many seasons and he may have been the best center in the league. He was certainly the best center the Bills have ever had bar none.
