  1. I don’t know. I think if the money is similar, he’ll be back. The social media stuff is just for attention.
  2. I could still see Poyer returning. Edmunds will get a lot more money somewhere else.
  3. McBeane really has their work cut out for them. Other than Josh, Diggs, and Milano, there’s a lot of underperforming assets on the books. Gotta get more production out of the Oliver, Groot, Basham, and Epenesa quartet. Brown’s gotta make a leap at Right Tackle. Tre’s gotta regain his Pro Bowl form. Will be great to get Hyde back. Knox and Gabe need to be more consistent. I think Cook is ready for a more featured role. Need starters at LB, Safety, and Guard. Need some more juice on the D-Line until Miller is back. And need some more juice in the passing game. There’s a lot of safeties and LB’s in the free agency market. Should be able to find adequate replacements for Poyer and Edmunds at reduced prices. I’d love to add Smith Njigba in the 1st. Think he’d be an immediate 80+ catch guy in this offense. Then find an IOL in the 2nd round who’s starter-ready. Go blocking Tight End in 3rd round. Then finish it off with Damien Harris (cut Hynes if we need to make that happen), and a veteran pass rusher like Frank Clark, Brandon Graham, or Clowney.
  4. Agreed. How about an Edmunds for Payne trade? Washington needs a LB and we need more juice on the D Line.
  5. Another benefit of bringing in Henry other than finally getting a power RB who’s also a home run threat is it forces Dorsey to not abandon the run game at first sign of adversity.
  6. The man has an insatiable need for attention. Good thing he’s a good dude because otherwise there’s a bit of an Antonio Brown vibe there.
  7. If i’m the Jets I’m trading two first for Lamar if Ravens place non-exclusive tag on him.
  8. Off-ball LB’s becoming like the RB position in terms of how NFL teams value them.
  9. If the Rams are rebuilding, how about Oliver and pick 27 for Aaron Donald? Highly doubt Donald wants to stick around for a rebuild.
  10. For a 6th rounder and the Rams picking up half his 2023 salary, I’d do it.
  11. Will certainly be harder finding a trade partner to trade down with. Not sure who wants to trade up to 27 when there’s supposedly only 15-16 guys with 1st round grades.
  12. Darnell Washington is a monster. Id love him or Mayer.
  13. Vander Esch for 3 years $30m or Edmunds for 5 years $90m?
  14. He looks closer to Justin Jefferson in college than Shakir. Good separation, great hands, questions on deep speed. Shakir had questions on deep speed and separation.
  15. Take the best player that isn’t a QB or CB. Stop getting cute and stop exclusively trying to fill perceived roster holes with our early picks. Every other front office in NFL knows who we’re targeting with our early picks. Go get a pro bowl level talent. McBeane did that before the roster got better, then they started using high draft picks to fill holes instead of taking the best player and letting the coaches figure out how to get the best talent on the field. Ozzie Newsome was the master of this.
  16. I’d like to see a pre-draft trade up for a player like we did with cordy glenn. The pickings are slim at the end of the 1st and all the super bowl contenders know who each other is targeting and all end up scrambling for the same players that make it that far like McDuffie last year.
  17. The Bengals exposed the softness of this defense in both games. Was pathetic watching an offense physically manhandle a defense like that. Milano is really our only guy that consistently brings violence on every hit. Hamlin too before his unfortunate situation. Maybe they’re coached to think too much rather than seek and hit. Maybe there’s too many vets on that side of ball who’ve been paid and wanna walk away from the game without permanent injury. And all the injuries and the Hamlin episode certainly didn’t help in terms of getting the defense to play more physical.
  18. Let’s also not forget the wide open bomb that Waddle dropped on their opening series, which would’ve changed the complexion of the game.
  19. Yep. And anyone who believes this was anything other than McBeane doing Frazier a favor holding onto him until all the head coaching jobs were filled… I gotta bridge to sell you. McDermott knows this year is it. Maybe he’ll give Holcomb or the young guy Babich the DC title, but McDermott will be way more hands on. Beane made that clear in his presser.
  20. Beane seemed pretty on edge for him. Like he knows the work he’s got ahead of him. I like it.
  21. Exactly. And you ain’t ever gonna find out if you keep doing same thing.
  22. The organization has always treated Frazier like he’s the Buddha or something. From giving the defense every possible resource to the constant drumbeat of saying it’s a travesty he ain’t a head coach to this weird-ass way of firing/not firing him. Weird all the way around.
  23. Frazier news probably doesn’t bode well for an Edmunds return.
  24. Yeah. No way you tag him unless you somehow know who you’re trading him to.
  25. I mean you could make that argument against every guy on the defense. I’d like to re-allocate some capital towards the offense too, but is Edmunds, a 24 year old physical freak who had his best season last year, the right guy to draw a line in the sand on?
