  1. This is one big dance with Arizona pretending they don’t want to trade him and a team like the Giants pretending they don’t want him. I think he goes for the Giants high 2nd rounder.
  2. I think the dome becomes a negotiating point between Pegula and the government. Retractable dome probably doubles the cost. Pegula says we don’t need dome for football. Government pays for if it wants it to hold non-football events.
  3. I think Frank Clark will be a Bill by the end of the draft. Seattle has to pay Russell Wilson and Bobby Wagner who will both get mega deals. Makes sense for them to flip Clark for a cheaper draft pick in a draft heavy on elite pass rushers. Bills have the cap space plus Hughes and Lawson are free agents next year. Swap of 1sts and Seattle takes Sweat/Gary/Burns at 9. Bills take BPA Wilkins/Simmons/Metcalf/Hockenson/Fant/Jonah/Taylor/Dillard/Ford at 21.
  4. Ha. Hard to contain himself at a Melissa Etheridge concert.
  5. Lock was much more productive against way better competition than Josh Allen was in college.
  6. Well let’s just hope he doesn’t become NFL MVP by year 2 like Mahomes.
  7. I thought I read that he had a heart condition at some point in last few years. Maybe he didn’t want to be 300lbs anymore. Can’t be good for the heart to be that heavy.
  8. This is more a commentary on how little there is at Tight End in front of him on Bills depth chart that he would sign here. Worth the shot from Bills perspective.
  9. Please stop putting Burns and Maybin in the same sentence. The fact that Burns can move like that after putting on the required weight is what separates him from guys like Maybin. And he’s had solid production for over 2 years. I’d have no problem taking him at 9.
  10. Murray goes 1. If Giants trade for Rosen, chance there could be bidding war for Haskins at #9 before the Broncos pick. Can’t imagine Elway passing on Haskins. I could see Raiders coming up to pick 9 if Haskins is still there.
  11. Maybe the guy had a family situation that made him pick Houston, but I’m weary of guys who were 5 star recruits out of high school and don’t challenge themselves against the best competition.
  12. Doesn’t help that nobody knows how old he is.
  13. Only so many guys have the physical tools. Less have the required ability to process info quickly while 260-300lb dudes are coming after you. And even less have the leadership the position requires. It is probably the hardest position to play in any sport.
  14. Can’t see the Giants trying to tank with Eli on roster. If that was the plan, I’m sure Eli would’ve retired. Doesn’t mean they won’t stink but probably not #1 pick overall stink. Trading for Rosen makes so much sense for them. They can probably get him for pick 37 and it doesn’t preclude them from taking a QB next year.
  15. This is getting fun now. Raiders going back to their roots.
  16. Burns is a tantalizing prospect. Not sure he has the size to hold up, but if he does he could be an All Pro. He’s also only 20 years old.
  17. I do like that he comes from a family of NFL players. There’s gotta be some football instincts in there to go with immense physical talent. Beasley and Brown are good upgrades but it’d be nice to give Josh a ‘Dude’ to throw to.
  18. Umm...OK. If you aren’t taking Haskins and everyone thinks you are, why would you leak anything to the contrary? Let everybody think you’re taking him.
  19. Titans actually only paying $2m. Dolphins paying the other $5m. Not a bad deal for the Titans.
  20. Didn’t realize Titans are only paying Tannehill $7m. That’s backup money. So I could see Titans sticking with Mariota for another year.
  21. There’s our trade down partner
  22. Pretty sure the window to sign the tagged player to an offer sheet ends before the draft.
  23. We aren’t in a position to look down on or feel bad for any fan base or franchise. Bills haven’t won a playoff game in 25 years and have been to the playoffs once in 20 years.
  24. I actually agree with your take on Oliver. In regards to Wilkins, it works both ways. He played with talented guys but he also might’ve been held back because he didn’t need to dominate every game. I think the Alabama game answered a lot of those questions when Lawrence was out and they needed Wilkins to dominate and he did on the biggest stage against other guys who are gonna play in the NFL.
  25. His ceiling looked plenty high in the championship game. He was dominant. One thing I love about him is his upper body torque. He engages the blocker but has so much upper body flexibility that he gets around them easily. I think he could be a dominant interior pass rusher. I know he plays a different position, but dare I say he’s ‘Bruce-like’ in his ability to engage and use his upper body flexibility to get around blockers.
