  1. I sort of agree with you. There's a point to be made, too, that Pittsburgh won't be a significant favorite to be any of the WC teams except for maybe the Browns. So if you think Pittsburgh is likely to lose one of its next two games, then there's really no point in playing the starters next week. On the other hand, I think there's a couple of reasons to play them into the third quarter. Allen came out slow after the bye this year. We have a ton of momentum - why risk it? We're sort of a thoroughbred offense right now, and a muddy track in Pittsburgh in round 2 could cause a problem. Bass has had a good stroke lately, too, but isn't there "bad" wind in one of the ends of Heniz Field? And, if I'm worried about one team aside from KC right now, it's the Ravens. They have a good record against good teams, they're getting hot, and that gimmicky offense could sneak up on us, shorten a game, and take the ball away from our offense. Winning avoids the Ravens in the first round. Glad it's not my call as to whether to play the 1s against Miami.
  2. Daboll but speed in the slot at the end of 2018. It’s a really good idea.
  3. Yeah, except when the corner sits on and breaks on a route. And of Davis isn’t as quick as Beasley and isn’t running the whip and option routes ... it’s an issue.
  4. What scares me about putting Davis in the slot is that he does not fight for the ball well (yet). Without the ability to separate like Beasley, he's going to have to be more aggressive in getting the ball if he has to slide in there.
  5. Well put. Every guy with kids is a unique risk. The ones with step kids perhaps even more so because the universe of contacts is much wider.
  6. This. Rewarding a guy who worked hard all year. Probably gets him a game check, too. Classy move.
  7. Yup. And Smith has been a core special teamer. I wonder if they regret moving Kumerow a little bit because of the Gilliam injury—Kumerow probably could have taken some of Gilliam’s ST snaps. But I suppose they can just as easily bring up Becker to take those snaps if they don’t feel comfortable with Kroft filling that role. Also, to the guy who wanted to cut Roberts instead of Kumerow . . . Kumerow probably will play in the league beyond this year. But so will Roberts, and Roberts produces about the equivalent of a first down almost every time he returns a punt. Pro Bowl nod and other accolades aside, the numbers speak for themselves, and Roberts produces at a high level.
  8. He’s gonna get a 2x playoff and super bowl share when we beat the saints in February. Good for him.
  9. He’s got more problems in NYC than he does in DC.
  10. Interesting you mention that. I was looking for my Antifa/Burning Cities thread recently. Thumbnail sketch, it's probably time to update it. Haven't seen any cities burning around here, or anywhere else for that matter. Looks like Antifa and its vaunted Air Force was a big friggin hoax.
  11. Hoax. I wouldn't have screamed dictator. I would have commended him for relying on scientists, not on magic and bleach. He belittled those who wore masks. He didn't invoke the DPA until, what, August? And now he's MIA as more people die in America each day from COVID than died on September 11 as a result of the terrorist attacks in New York City.
  12. Nobody is without sin in this whole thing. But calling Trump an effective leader . . . wow. Bungled COVID. MIA when Russia hacks our military-industrial complex. I'm curious why he's fighting so hard (and lying so much) to keep a job that he doesn't actually, you know, do.
  13. I used to think that Trump should be left alone after leaving office so as to let the sleeping dog lie and avoid years of divisiveness that surely would flow from his prosecution. Not anymore. The voter fraud hoax is just too much for me. And, to top it off, he won't lift a finger against the Russian hack for reasons known only to him and Putin. So now I'm on the side of we need to prosecute him aggressively and see where things end up. No more kid gloves for this fool.
  14. Messaging isn't even close to the list of this guy's greatest failures. Fighting a 100-year pandemic with magic, Lysol, and aspirational repetition tops the list. And there's plenty more after that before we get even close to messaging.
  15. And Trump is the guy who complained for months about socialism. At least he's doing something good for so many people who are up against an awful situation.
  16. See the thing is the legislators have to ask that question in the first instance before they enact your little backdoor poll tax. So it's best to have an answer for it now, rather than later.
  17. And what if the photo changes? When do we have to get new photos taken? How long are they good for? How does this work with absentees? Let's not "fix" what isn't broken. Show me a problem with in-person voter fraud and then maybe the photo ID conversation becomes relevant.
  18. It's the satellite lots that are the problem.
  19. Or maybe you could call him Governor Cuomo. That's another option. Factual, direct, apolitical.
  20. Thought you were talking about the Allen Street by the stadium. The one that abuts Jim Kelly Boulevard.
  21. IIRC, by "squeezed out" you mean "ran over Bryan Cox, Sr.," right?
  22. Grab em by the pushy! I actually agree with this. I also wonder who could be so stupid as to do such a thing.
  23. You forgot fat. He is a fat loser. Actually, he is a very fat loser. Sad! I completely agree with this. Most will notice that I don't into policy arguments here (save for wear the mask or be considered a d-bag). Trump is different, though. This is about democracy and the core of the republic. Silence in the face of this latest round of disgusting Trumpian nonsense is acquiescence.
  24. Sure there's a legal way. Get him to sign a contract that precludes a move. It's private law between the parties. Everyone has a price. But he'd probably never do it. So the point is a non-starter.
  25. Kind of depends on whether the GM sticks around, and on family considerations, I would think. But it's a plumb job. Philly might make sense for him if the Eagles want to "fix" Wentz. Otherwise . . . Dallas, maybe? Detroit, if they run it back with Stafford?
