This is an issue no one in the organization needs to spend time on, especially in arguably the most important season in the team’s history. Araiza will need to work through his own process and, if the Bills cut him loose, he’ll be free to seek employment anywhere. Being a football player is not a right. He can get a job like the rest of us, using his valuable SDSU degree.

Players get cut all the time. The only person responsible for being cut is Araiza.

I was wondering the same thing, and if that’s the case, would Sean resign? He personally looks bad right now, and if that’s because he wasn’t given all the info by his management team, I could see a scenario where he would quit because of it.

That could be true; has it been determined that Araiza didn’t know anything about his potential involvement until the civil case was announced? That seems unlikely from the admittedly bits and pieces I’ve gathered.

With the Watson debacle going on for a year? If what you’re saying is true it reeks of poor judgment given the public perception the Bills have worked so hard to cultivate.

What I don’t understand from the Bills’ perspective is - if they knew about this before the draft, why get involved in such a situation even if they believed he was not guilty of the charges? The whole thing should have been avoided with a 10-foot pole. And if he just disclosed this to the Bills after being drafted, it would seem he was withholding information that I’m sure the Bills ask all draft picks - “Is there anything you are involved in that we should know about?” Withholding such an obvious problem is grounds for termination.

Maybe not disagreement on timetable, but rather a lack of direct communication with the attending doctors, who are only speaking with Tre. The Bills could only get info from Tre in this scenario. Unless workman’s comp applies to football players….
