We are confident that social distancing can be an effective tool in reducing COVID risks in the NFL because we have successfully conducted a pilot program for several years in which defenders have been required to stay at least six feet away from Tom Brady.

Like many other businesses managing through uncertain outcomes, the NFL feels the prudent course of action at this time is to reduce expenses where possible. I personally feel it is important to lead by example during these unprecedented times and thus have offered to offset my own salary so as to better protect the jobs of others in the league office. -
Yup. Of course, the Bears might be SB champs right now if someone had jumped them for Trubisky a few years ago!

In the interests of both fairness and league stability, the league office has decided to allow the New England Patriots $20 million of cap relief for the 2020 season. Also, they will also be granted a fourth round compensatory pick in this week's draft. -

As of now the league office is planning to hold the 2020 draft as scheduled, however we continue to evaluate the impact of the COVID-19 virus on NFL operations and will make any and all decisions with the safety of players, team employees, and the general public utmost in mind. -

The league is currently investigating several instances of wrongdoing by various teams and will report out on any punishments at the appropriate time. -
Due to an oversight by the league office, New England was not granted a 4th round compensatory pick. That pick has now been awarded. To compensate the Patriots for their pain and suffering, the league has also granted New England a 5th round compensatory pick.
