  1. That mysterious injury designation for Hoecht that hes going to pick up in practice today or tomorrow is going to hit like CRACK.
  2. Teams are doing more and more of this stuff. Here is what the NY Mets do for their offseason "fan fest." Its a paid event, too. But look at what you get...panels...autograph sessions, etc. And current and former players attend, including many many of the "legends." A few friends of mine down here have gone and say it was well worth it. https://www.mlb.com/mets/fans/amazin-day
  3. The funniest thing about the maniacs losing their ***** over this "gaudy disgusting, unnecessary" ballroom being built is that it is EXACTLY THE SAME TYPE OF PLACE...right down to the gold chairs and chandeliers, that they DREAM of their children getting married in. For some reason...its OK for their little darlings to get married in such a place but United States State Dinners being held in such a place is somehow...bad. They are also the same folks who blew 3/4 of the money they saved for said wedding and tore apart half their own houses to put in a new kitchen because formica and NOT having a 18' x 20' island with pendant lights that cost 3 grand a piece over it is "eeeewwwww."
  4. "But we have Josh Allen" THATS the whole mindset around the entire org and fanbase.
  5. I paid $700 FACE VALUE for Rush. Very good (not excellent) seat and at MSG. I absolutely cant miss that show so Im forking it over. But, in general the price of admission for events is way over the top, I agree.
  6. That's literally what happened.
  7. Probably a wash. McD's strengths and weaknesses and Marv's have A LOT of parallels. Both are good delegators & leaders of men and strong builders of 'team culture.' Both have implemented very strong overall team "programs." Both are so-so in-game managers.
  8. You cant be serious. Have you seen his work as HC in NYC?
  9. You dont know that. No, we dont. See "Mets, New York."
  10. Daboll and Dorsey and Brady have all run VASTLY different offenses.
  11. IN FOR MSG. Aug 1, Section 105. Told my wife that even if I drop dead on July 30, dont schedule my funeral for Aug 1 because Im going to this show no matter what. I AM SO HAPPY.
  12. Looking forward to tonight's iteration of the Trent Edwards offense. Listen man....whoever scores the most points is gonna win. Bank it.
  13. As a Mets fan I relish my Yankee hatred as much as the next guy. But the Jays are REALLY overplaying this whole "Daaa Yankees lose" thing. Youre playing the Mariners now, dummies. To go to the World Series. Very hateable team.
  14. The old boy is going home (sort of). Next time Im in Ellicotville Ill hit you up.
  15. Fair point. There have now been a lot of critiques from OUTSIDE the org that the Bills' offense and defensive approaches are dated.
  16. Im much more "over" Beane than McD. To me, Beane seems to be living way too much off the "but we have Josh Allen" mindset when it comes to team composition. We dont need an A receiver...we have Josh Allen. We dont need a better defense to close out the Chiefs...we have Josh Allen. When it comes to him, personally he seems to have this "But I drafted Josh Allen" defense to all his critiques. IMHO, both are a terrible approach.
  17. The band freely admits they aint for everyone. Its pretty much a running joke with them at this point. Case in point, their new drummer is a girl and I think Geddy Lee, himself said "Finally, theres going to be a woman at a Rush show."
  18. I really dont know, but given there's a nine page thread about the pick of him tells me SOMETHING is. Then again, the only "bad bunny" I know of is the one I squashed on the bike path a few weeks ago with the front wheel of my Enve. 😶 If I may, however I find the pick of someone who sings in only Spanish to be an odd pick. Not in some sort of a jingoistic "speak English or shut up" sort of way...just in a "mass appeal" way. Im a promotion/marketing man and I just go by "appeal to the biggest audience possible always" mantra and I dont think this pick does that. Then again, I was really digging "Despacito" when I was down 10 pina colada's at the Punta Cana Hard Rock's central pool this winter, so there's that.
  19. Me: "I wish just once they would pick a non-divisive mass appeal musician that isnt controversial to play the Super Bowl halftime show." Also me: "I wish the death metal band Obituary would play the Super Bowl halftime show."
  20. I cant believe I have "what to wear peer pressure anxiety" for a blasted football game. LOL.
  21. The Bills are ranked 9th total defense (awful!!!!) and 2nd in passing (ATROCIOUS!!!) and....32nd in running (ok, thats bad). They havent been the 85 Bears no. But you would think the defense is getting blown off the field each week (they are not) and the team is 0-4 (they are not) the way some people are acting. They are, in a word....average. Obviously room for improvement but lets calm down here.
  22. The second in command has to report to and take instruction from the first in command? Thats an amazing find...you really might be on to something there.
  23. There was a time when NYC sports radio was light years ahead of Buffalo's. NYC had the "gold standard" with Mike and the Mad Dog and Buf had...Chuck Dickerson. Today, its the complete opposite. WFAN is complete dreck hot take shock jock nonsense 24/7, while WGR's content is really really good. You may not love all the hosts on GR or the homerism of "One Bills Live" but there is no question the programming is detailed, in-depth, sober and well-presented.
