The editorial staff quit on Thursday/Friday. I imagine they’re borrowing writers from their other sites until they restaff Deadspin. Bottom line though is that it’s not dead. Still amazed at how little digital journalists understand their business

If you need a further dissection, Wentz stood tall in the pocket to the last possible moment and delivered the killer throws. From what I've seen of Baker, he'd be bailing out on all those plays well before they're set.

A bit of future scouting - Browns @ Broncos
GG replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Few things were noticeable - he didn't have that much real estate to improvise and was rushing the throws, even if he could have extended a play by a bit. It looked very similar to how poorly Brady's passes have looked this year when his timing is disrupted. -
Also not mentioned is that Teller is Browns' starting RG now, and it shouldn't be surprising that Bills know his weak areas.

SJ played that role vs Broncos, but he got nicked up and may not be full speed for the game. Fully agree on the analysis to make Baker hesitate a bit. If he's not in rhythm, he's highly erratic. -
I’m not sure that’s an attempted pump fake because he doesn’t need the CB to bite on the fake and Foster already has his guy beat. That’s a prime example of Allen hesitating for a split second. If he releases at the initial pump, there’s a good chance for a long gain. They played Browns in preseason last year when his blindside hit injured T Johnson

Bills have a Roster Decision to make with Dodson Update: Waived

Confirmed on Bills site. -
Doesn't appear that it's quite dead yet. In fact, it looks like it's getting better.

He was clearly rattled by the Broncos rush, which didn't really get to him. But just being close enough to him disrupted many throws. It was reminiscent of Brady's performance vs Bills. The passes were a tad early before the receivers were ready. I have a hunch that's why they added Liuget this week.
-
Wondering though if part of Liuget's signing was for his interior pass rush, and maybe they can sub in Oliver for Shaq's passing downs, where he's been less than invisible?

Simple poll. Is Josh Allen improving as a passer?
GG replied to Ramza86's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It blatantly clear that Allen has improved as a passer. In each successive game he's getting closer to jumping that hump. More often than not, his eyes are on the right player but he still hesitates a split second before throwing it or pulling the ball down to run. I'm guessing that he still doesn't trust those kinds of throws because they're not instinctive to him yet. It's that hesitation that's holding him back right now. -
Watched the Browns/Broncos condensed game - Mayfield is very jittery in the pocket and I think only attempted one pass beyond the sticks. If the pass rush can get close to him, he freaks out and is erratic. On defense, once you get beyond their front 4, there's plenty of space. Could have been Browns' plan to crowd the LOS against a green QB that badly backfired, because they are horrible tacklers. Both teams looked bad, and if Bills simply play sound fundamentals, both of these teams can be easily beaten.

OCs are figuring out his and Frazier's adjustments to stop the run.

Global warming err Climate change HOAX

Wonder if the origin of the article comes from the dangers of global warming or that the writers & editors hate their families? Didn't we already address this? -
Jason Whitlock may be on to something..

He was always a fun watch back in the day -
Chances are he will won't get gassed in his first game back, just like Laveon was ready to in the opener. The issue for guys after long absences is maintaining their conditioning as the season slogs on. But they're usually good to go for the first outing.

I Think Milano is the Problem with our Run D
GG replied to JoshAllenHasBigHands's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Now my head is spinning. Weren't you among the loudest voices calling out Edmunds for not hitting the right gap as the biggest problem with the run defense? The DT carousel started AFTER the Miami game, apparently when their OC uncovered the weakness in the run D. -
I Think Milano is the Problem with our Run D
GG replied to JoshAllenHasBigHands's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The run weakness has cycled through the McDermott iteration of the Bermuda Triangle, where runners actually escape. Until his injury, Milano was consistently the best defender on this squad. Against Miami, Star and M Alexander were maligned by fish's newfound run attack. Then it was Edmunds against Eagles, and now it's Milano against Redskins. The run D stiffened up in the second half by a defensive realignment. The obvious question is why did it take until halftime of this game to fix something that offensive coordinators figured out 3 games ago? And will it work against better QBs than Haskins?
