  1. Is he the one who drew the cartoon about the German kids?
  2. Socialism's effect is slow, like the boiling frog syndrome. Its speed is much slower than an electoral cycle, which gives the populist politicians cover until they hit the oh ***** moment. Will be interesting to see when that point will arrive in CA.
  3. In reading up the application of treason under US laws it appears that it's exclusively applied during actual wars. So to apply treason in this case, you would need to make a case that US is in a war with Australia, Italy, UK along with Russia. I don't think anybody wants to go down that road, when there are plenty of other charges that can be levied.
  4. She turned out fine and well adjusted.
  5. Unless they're the kind of parents who pimp out their kids for money and fame.
  6. You're using a warning signs of one particular bank with loose credit standards as a harbinger for the economy? That piece was about Santander, not auto loans in general. BTW, the warning was sounded by one of the rating agencies. So which is it, are they conflicted or are they warning the market about Santander's issues? FWIW, none of the data that I've seen supports signs of troubles in any segment of the credit markets.
  7. But free healthcare is a right
  8. I thought it was the chick who flashed her boobs.
  9. I'd be happy to move on when someone provides definitive proof that Peko is awful and Star is very good.
  10. No, that's a follow up to the question why Peko sucks and Star is great. You must be new here to have missed the 2017 draft discussions and the 2018 season opener blow out when Mahomes lit it up.
  11. How's Peko supposed to fill that gap when it's a moving gap about 4 yards from his presnap position? The fault on that play seems to be more on Oliver than Peko.
  12. That's because the pulling LG falls down before he can get into the lead block position
  13. Then how is it different from Peko being ridden out above? The main difference is the backside support was nonexistent in the Peko play.
  14. Nearly identical lineups, except that LBs are in a better spot in the first, and in the second the G falls down in trying to get to Edmunds (who doesn't look good at all on the tackle) . But the main point is that Star was just as easily moved off the play as Peko by a single blocker.
  15. The back breaking TD drive to go up 24-13 featured Eagles longest pass 38 yards, followed by two short passes (after a sack) for 18 yards to get to Bills 19. So that's 4 straight passing plays to drive down the field. The run was featured in their game capping drive.
  16. Woody clearly has both feet on one side of that particular border. There’s little borderline about his behavior.
  17. Even back in the day, dating a 17 year old when you were past sophomore age in college deemed you a borderline loser. Dating a 17 year old when you’re a 38-yr old major star makes you a borderline pedophile, despite the legal age of consent.
  18. By that standard you’d be ok with a 29 year old hooking up with a 12 year old? Not surprised.
  19. It was brought up in other threads, that upon further review, the Eagles really beat the Bills with the short passing game more than the run. You’re right that the runs in question occurred when the game was essentially over. The Eagles completely dictated the tone all game long. It just took them to the second half to fully execute.
  20. Just for kicks what makes you believe that I’m not interested in the answer given the back and forth in these threads.
  21. But enough time to defend Stars average play? I thought you are the resident expert on the play design? Why is Peko so much worse in execution?
  22. Call it whatever you want. Note that I also took issue with Joe's take that Star was the worst player. PS apology accepted for the claims that I don't do research.
  23. Note that you are asking me to violate copyright, here you go Sue Hot Take Monday: Miles Sanders’ 65-yard touchdown run should be enough to signal the grand problem with the Bills defense. Since they lost Harrison Phillips to a season-ending injury, things have not been the same for the Bills. Phillips had been playing at an extremely high level and took the pressure off the underperforming Star Lotulelei. In those three weeks, Lotulelei had been the starter in title only. Phillips was the far superior performer and wound up getting more time on the field than Lotulelei. Since Phillips’ injury, the Bills have cobbled together their defensive line combinations trying to find a spark. Sometimes it works, but it’s been fleeting. The problem begins right up the middle with Lotulelei and backup Kyle Peko. The primary responsibility of a one-technique defensive tackle, as a bigger-bodied player, is to occupy blockers when facing double teams. If he’s in a one-on-one matchup, he needs to prioritize holding his ground and beating the block. Lotulelei and Peko have not been good enough in these essential facets of the position. Lotulelei’s issue is with moving laterally. When a team gets him moving, he has a more difficult time keeping his assignment at the line of scrimmage and he isn’t winning his one-on-one matchups. It puts more of a stress on the linebackers to bail him out, and if they’re unable, runs such as Sanders’ 65-yarder can happen. They ran that play right at Lotulelei’s gap, and the Eagles quickly brushed him aside. While he should remain a role player, they need to lighten his load — and they can’t do so with Peko as his backup. Peko is a smaller player who has a difficult time holding up at the point of attack. Backtrack Tuesday I’ll be the first one to admit it. After watching the Eagles break off some significant gains in the ground game — including the 65-yard Miles Sanders touchdown run — my inclination was that one-technique defensive tackle Star Lotulelei was struggling. Lotulelei could have done more on that play, but it wasn’t entirely his fault the Eagles busted loose for the biggest play of the game. Weakside linebacker Matt Milano needed to siphon the runner to the hard-charging Micah Hyde on the outside. Instead, Milano froze and provided a big running lane right up the middle, which effectively canceled out his supporting tackler, Hyde. It’s that type of play that shapes a game, and sometimes shapes our thoughts of the game. That’s the beautiful part about reviewing the film, to see where you erred on Sunday — and I whiffed on Lotulelei, though I don’t think I’m alone.
