  1. Agree on all points. As I mentioned above, I thought it was a bit slow in the early episodes but as you said, the plot has thickened nicely. I haven't really read many of the reviews but wonder if the seemingly slow pace early on has something to do with it. Only 9 episodes does seem a bit short for where we are now in the story. I just hope that HBO orders a 2nd season.
  2. If anyone has stuck with it, Sunday's episode was the best so far. ****SPOILER FROM HERE ON**** Sure took a long time to get there, especially as an "origin" story. I let out an audible shriek when the guy sitting across from Mason said..."Hamilton Berger"!!!! I'm hoping it continues with the upward trend.
  3. One more...the late, great Johnny Winter. Again, one of his last performances. Damn... I've seen a of lot of dead guys!
  4. This one is a professional image taken at the Blues Bender in LV in 2019. That's me shaking hands with one of my all-time favorite guitarists, Ronnie Earl during his performance. For some strange reason, he walked over to me and played an entire song right in front of me. Was pretty freakin' awesome!
  5. Louisiana guitarist Tab Benoit w/bassist Corey Duplechin
  6. Samantha Fish and 2019 Blues Music "Album of the Year" Award winner, Albert Castiglia. Guitarist "Monster" Mike Welsh and the late Michael Ledbetter on vocals. One of Michael's last performances before his sudden and tragic death.
  7. These next few are from my wife who is far superior to me with (among many things) a camera! Guitarist Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Noah Hunt.
  8. Buffalo NY native and co-founder of Spyro Gyra, Jay Beckenstein (sax)
  9. One of my favorite shots: The late, great (Buffalo NY native) Lucky Peterson with Blues Guitarist, Christoffer "Kid" Andersen
  10. Blues guitarist and upstate NY native Joe Bonamassa
  11. I really wanted to like this having been a fan of the original. It's been just ok for me so far but I'll stick with it. I get that this is being sold as a sort of prequel and it's kind of cool the way they are setting-up the back stories for Mason, Paul Drake and Della Street. I do agree though that the sets and wardrobes are great! One of my biggest disappointments: I was REALLY looking forward to a redux of the opening theme song. Instead we got...nothing.
  12. "I don't know Karate but I know Karazy" ... James Brown "I'm gonna sell the bi***'s car and buy myself a cool guitar"... Jimmy Thackery & the Drivers
  13. I'm not sure... Is that Phyllis George or Jayne Kennedy?
  14. My Mount Billsmore t-shirt pretty much says it for me. I always gets great comments when I wear it.
  15. GREAT song! Unfortunately, the Vikings use it regularly on game days.
  16. John Cippolina on lead. 25 minutes - live at the Fillmore East (1969 I believe)
  17. Things just aren't the same today. I hear every mother say. (wrong thread???)
  18. If I'm drinking whisky/whiskey, my #1 go-to is Glenmorangie Original 10. Simple, straight forward with a nice rich flavor. Not too "peaty" (which I find very difficult to enjoy). Cheers!
  19. This is Ruby. She's s good girl. This is Frisco. She likes Golf balls.
  20. Common Man! Somethings never grow old!
  21. Because of you, I'm no longer a Pisces and am now an Aquarius. So...have all of those ultra-correct things about me as a Pisces all been REALLY wrong 'cause I've always been an Aquarius??? ? There are really 13 astrological signs
  22. Had my left knee done 1 year ago. I was walking (with a walker) day one. Do not mess with your PT. Do it regularly and religiously. You will be very happy if you do. Depending on the joint which was used, you may experience the "clicking" referred to earlier up-thread. I do. It can be annoying but becomes just background noise after awhile. I had a complication informally called "patella clunk" or sometimes "patella crunch". Google it. This can happen in about 4% of patients, again depending on the joint used. It usually shows-up 3-6 months after surgery and can be (and in my case, was) eliminated by a scope procedure. I never took one pain killer afterwards. No drugs, My surgeon uses what I describe as a ball/pump which delivers painkiller directly to the wound via a small tube. IIRC, it lasted about a week before the pain killer was all used up. It's too late now for you to have but for anyone else reading this who may have to get at TKR, I'd HIGHLY recommend that you explore this option with your surgeon/anesthesiologist. I also had 2 weeks of in-home PT visits by a combo nurse/physical therapist. He checked the incision, removed the staples and the pain pump tube all during this time. He also helped with rehab and exercises during that time. Hope this helps and Good luck!!!
  23. Believe it or not (and as much as I don't like his writing), I've been listening to Jerry Sullivan on 1270 the Fan the past few weeks. He gets great guests and a lot of them! So his personal air time is a bit limited (at least as compared to the 'GR guys). Show starts at 9:00am. Not a horrible alternative if you want WNY centric sports discussion and more enjoyable than the AM pablum from 'GR. I rarely listen to the PM guys on 550. IMO, Schopp is the worst of all time.
  24. I was at that game and remember that you actually heard Stratton's hit on Lincoln, then the crowd's collective "ohhhhh" and then that momentary silence as he laid on the ground. Was awesome! And I agree that the '64 team probably would have beaten ANY NFL team that season.
  25. Agree! RR Tycoon: " Why'd you kill them? I only told you to scare 'em!" Fonda (matter-of-factly): " People scare better when they're die'n" One of my top 10 all-time movies.
