  1. Lovin' Dareus and Merriman and the D. Hating the white helmets - reminds me of the dark ages of Bills football - Yes darker than now.

  3. Gailey's probably the best HC we've had around here since Bum's son.
  4. Hey All. I need to correct my previous post: the pregame party is at the Local - not Brits. Still on the Nicolet Mall (about a block away form Brits). Doors do open at 9:00am. I apologize for the error.
  5. I lived in MSP for over 25 years but am a Buffalo native. Not much in the way of tailgating (there's a little in a very few scattered lots) so yes, most parties are at local bars and restaurants. Try to get to Brits right around 9:00am if you can. It's a popular gameday spot. I'm told that Bills fans will have a separate area but there's no telling how big it is. Hope to see you there.
  6. FYI for anyone going to the game: Bills fans will be gathering at Brits Pub on the Nicolet Mall at 9:00am on Gameday. Brits is convenient to many downtown area hotels and the Dome. Hope to see you there! Tony.
  7. Bunch of folks going to that game. I'm thinking, a big Bills W If you need tix or party info, drop me a PM and I'll put you in touch with the organizers for the weekend.
  8. For the sake of accuracy: I was standing right there when what looked to me like cops (they had "Sheriff" on the back of their jackets) told Ken to "shut it down in 15 minutes". I could be wrong as senility is slowly taking over but I don't think I am.
  9. They certainly did. I was there talking with Ken about the upcoming Bills/Vikes game in December when the Sheriff(s) came up to us and told Ken to "shut it down in 15 minutes" All Ken could say was "ok". Don't know his future plans but this party has been a standard for years - one we always visit on gamedays when in town. And I've never seen anyone get out of hand there. As someone stated: Too bad that No Fun League now stretches beyond the field.
  10. Had exactly the same thought - although the official line from the Phish (as reported here in Ft. Myers) is that this was the plan all along.
  11. I was there. It was a beautiful day and nobody left the stadium. Crowd was chanting "We beat Miami" as the clock ran down. Fans rushed the field, tore down the goal posts and passed them up and down the stands at Rich. One upright got delivered to Ralph - passed right up to his box. He had it cut-up and a local radio station had a promotion giving away pieces of the goalposts. Younger fans have no idea how torturous those 10 years were. The Bills lost in every conceivable manner. And Phish players just laughed. Zero for the 70s is the one major reason why I'll always hate the phish and more than any other team. Ive been to some great games and experienced some dramatic sports wins for my favorite teams throughout the years but this game is top 3 of all time for me.
  12. Looks great Scott!!! Thanks for the work & years you've put into making this board a great place to visit everyday. It's a true service to all Bills fans.
  13. Aged Gouda (not the regular stuff). Distinctive taste, IMO. Rich, creamy flavor yet dry and rather sharp. $$$ http://www.artisanalcheese.com/prodinfo.asp?number=10716 Also, a good Asiago is great by itself or with a little Vino.
  14. That was one of the best threads ever!!!
  15. It's a possibility I suppose....Darn it! Now I MUST see it again!
  16. Yep. my beer of choice when I'm having more than 1 or 2. I must say that SNPA just doesn't measure-up if I switch to it after having something like a Mojo or Stone 60/90. It's certainly acceptable if I start with it though.
  17. Just checked their website and it's 6.9%. Hey, that's under 7!!!
  18. I've been an IPA fan for years and have tried an awful lot of them. My absolute favorite, believe it or not, is brewed right in good old Upstate NY - Southern Tier IPA. I just looked at one of the bottles in my fridge (using all of my will-power not to open it yet) and the alcohol content isn't listed. I'd highly recommend this brew. Not sure where you are located but I can buy it down here in FLA at Total Wine. Good luck!
