  1. This is the type of post that kills me. I just don't get it. Why are you here? Why do you post? Why do you care? Go away. I travel 1800 miles to go to Bills games as a long distance season ticket holder and will renew. After reading your post I just don't understand your interest in this team. If you chose not to support it, cool, fine, GO AWAY. If these are your feelings, great. I'll just assume that this is your last post on this board because I don't need, nor care to read your thoughts.
  2. Thought you'd like to know that I finally made it to Ft Myers. 75 degrees with blue skies and a slight breeze off of the Gulf. I think I'll watch the Bills game this afternoon at the beach.
  3. 60 degrees and sunny in El Paso. Trying to get to Ft Myers but delayed 4 hours 'cause the incoming flight is stuck in Chicago
  4. Then why are you on this board?
  5. Unfortuately, yes it is, unless you want to see the Bills leaving WNY become a self-fulfilling prophesy. And yes, I'll renew again.
  6. Always THE big game for me too. But this season, it's not about the Phish. It's about Toronto.
  7. Been in a funk all weekend and I can't remember EVER looking forward to a Bills' game with this much dread. Instead of thinking about what they have to do to stop Miami, I'm thinking how this entire situation simply should not be. I'm getting a glimpse of what the future may hold and I don't like it. I've followed this team since its inception and supported them through the (mostly) bad and the good times. But the prospect of actually watching a Bills' "home" game, in Toronto, against a division rival - the Phish no less- has me really depressed. It finally sinks in that this could be the beginning of the end of a relationship that has been a part of my life since I've been a kid. I've always supported RW in his ownership but this is a betrayal of the fans that supported his business no matter how poorly it was managed. Yes he kept the team in WNY but WNY also helped make him very wealthy. And this is a region that really does have better things to spend their money on given the economics of the past 40+ years. To me, the game today is secondary. This sucks.
  8. Too many division losses. 10-6 that way might not get us in and that would be really awful.
  9. Do you people all have too much time on your hands?
  10. Disrespected. What does that really mean? Is it important to have fishwraps and bookies kiss the Bills A$$? Please, we have a very good team to root for. Enjoy it while you can. The only thing that's important is that we know they're good and they know they're good. As long as they win, I couldn't give a crap what the talking heads think.
  11. Maybe a "wow" and a couple of "zers" but I don't see a wowzer in the bunch.
  12. I read this in the Buffalo News this morning and also in the USA Today. I find it almost impossible to believe. It seems that they've lost many games on the final play over the years and to only have won two since 1960...well, it just doesn't seem possible. Has anyone gotten any other verification on this? It wouldn't be the first time that one source (let's say, the USA Today) passed on info from another source (the News) without checking.
  13. Thought it sucked. Idiotic plot and pitiful acting. I'm a Sci-fi guy and am used to scenarios that are "out there" - As a matter of fact, the more, the better. But this was just plain...I dunno...awful is the best word I can use. Like: ok we'll just let the insane scientist out of the state hospital with a roque FBI agent so he can restablish his illegal lab at an Ivy league university. Come on....
  14. Great game!. Great start to the season! My wife and I will check out the bar next week - that'll hopefully make it 8. I'll spread the word around as I mentioned that I've run into a few Bills fans. Who knows, may be the start of something... PM coming...
  15. Cool. Let me know what you find out. Drop me a PM if you'd like. Years ago, a friend and I re-started the Bills Backers of Minneapolis/St.Paul when the previous organizers gave up. We took it from 5 members to the 130 that it is today with our own bar for every game (Sabres, too). May not be that many Bills fans around here but we may be able to give it a go. Let me know...
  16. I'd sure like to know if that's true! We moved to EP this past January and have met a couple Bills fans but haven't heard about Fankies. How long have you been here?
  17. Ok, so I type slow, BFD! Anyways, to sum it all up: Sabres better play a whole lot better really soon or this is gonna be another in a lonnnnnggg line of heartbreaks. Too cute, too fancy and too soft for play-off hockey!!! I've seen about 6 teams so far in the '07 SCP's that are playing MUCH better than the locals. Come on boyz! Git your sh-- together!
  18. I'll take a wild stab and guess that it's...Joe DeLuca???
  19. First the "Winner" article 2 days ago and now this: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/writ...eams/index.html Good stuff!

  21. Yeah me too I guess. But this is our first year back buying season tix in quite a few and we're pretty excited to get our game selections done.
  22. Sorry if posted already, I didn't see any new post other than the long one announcing the 4/5/date and thought it might get lost in that thread. ESPN sez: Updated: April 2, 2007, 7:51 PM ET By Len Pasquarelli ESPN.com Fans anxious to begin making plans for the 2007 NFL regular-season schedule will have to wait a little longer. A league official confirmed Monday that the much-anticipated announcement of the regular-season schedule, originally set for Thursday, will be delayed. The schedule could be released as early as next week now, with the roll-out coming no later than April 19. The delay was first reported by NFL.com, the league-owned Web site. The league did announce its full preseason schedule on Monday afternoon. Last week, at its annual meetings in Phoenix, the NFL unveiled its nationally televised opening week matchups for Sept. 6-10 and its three Thanksgiving Day games. The regular season kicks off Sept. 6 when the Super Bowl champion Indianapolis Colts host the New Orleans Saints. The NFL tentatively planned to roll out the rest of the regular-season schedule during a two-hour bloc on the NFL Network on Thursday afternoon. But an NFL official suggested to ESPN.com last week in Phoenix that a delay of that Thursday broadcast was likely, because there was still considerable work to be completed on the schedule. The NFL designs its regular-season schedule without using computers and the process, given the longstanding priority on maintaining competitive balance, is an arduous task. One notable change that first-year commissioner Roger Goodell has made is to solicit more input. For instance, long-time NFL general manager Ernie Accorsi, who retired from the New York Giants earlier in the offseason, recently visited the NFL offices to peruse the schedule.
  23. Absolutely agree! Got a Sestak jersey that'll never be obsolete. As for my Paup and Fletcher...
